  • Global Military Spending Touches Record High: Where Does India Stand? | Vantage with Palki Sharma
    In the wake of escalating conflicts worldwide, global military expenditure has surged to a record high of $2440 billion. For the first time, defence spending has risen across all the five regions: Africa, Europe, West Asia, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. The two top spenders are the United States and China, who jointly account for approximately half of the world's military outlay. India has also stepped up its spending on defence. Last year, India was the world's fourth-largest military spender with a military budget of around $83 billion. Palki Sharma tells you more.

    India need to boost it's Defence budget because you have to have a strong Defence and Space sector if you want to be a strong nation or Superpower .India now need to spend atleast 100 billion dollars because atleast 20-30% of this budget will go to military payment so you atleast need 60-70 billion for your defence . Defence require lots of money in R&D and if India want to become Self Reliant then we have to spend a good amount in our RnD sector of defence and Space .we are now 4trillion economy so we atleast need 100 billion defence .

      Strong engineering school matter more than raw cash that you can throw into military budget. Foreign weapon can never win you war alone, need to adaptation into specific conditions always arise. And without healthy engineer and physics communities military budget will be stolen but will never lead to useful military tech. So to be strong independent nation you need moderate amount of money in military budget directly and as many as possible into development of high education, tech branches particularly

    • @Shucasm
      @Shucasm Před měsícem

      @@napobg6842 nope , they are not India is 4 trillion dollar economy and 100 billion is like 2.5% of our economy. Russia has 1.8-1.9 trillion dollar and it's spending of defence is 109 dollar . UK also increase its defence budget . China have like 300 billion and US has 900+ billions which is more than 3% of its GDP the only country which is spending less percentage is China but China still have close to 300 billion spending which is 3.5x of India budget . So we need to spend more on the defence and Space because if India really want to be a super power we have to show we are capable of going again the other super power in every department but india defence industry is new and need lots of RnD .

    • @Shucasm
      @Shucasm Před měsícem

      @@tiaoyi-bx5yi Go and check the percentage of toilets in India and it's increase in percentage .I will rather choose big defence budget than bullet train . US doesn't have bullet train and it still surviving. By that logic India should build Toilet first because if it can't afford toilet how the hell it gonna afford Bullet train cost ?? It's such an absurd argument . We need to spend in everywhere because we are already lost 20year so we can't afford any more delay . Every powerful have their 5th gen fighter even France and Germany have their 4.5 gen but we are still stuck with Tejas and we will probably get 4.5 gen in 2030 with MK2 and we will get our 5 gent in 2035 which is 15 year and by then US and China probably have 6th gen .We are also developing our slum . The biggest slum is in Mumbai which is going in the development phase by Adani group . It's not only govt . Responsibility but our own if you can't afford why are you populating the country ?? People don't think logical . They just have 10 children and then ask govt to pay for their food and house . People are too narrow minded in India they don't want to be clean their city itself . Govt. Have Swach Bharat program especially for cleanliness but people still throw garbage here and there . Now pollution, we are developing country with rapit manufacturing and developing building so its logical we will create pollution but if you look at per capita pollution we are still very low but yes we should work on that and that's why govt is aiming for 500GW of Renewable energy till 2030 and also has taken many step to reduce the pollution .

      UN cant do anything because West countries block any initiative from BRICS+ countries and vice versa. UN is for tasks in which all powerful countries can agree on (like containing of growing deserts), not for matters in middle of Cold War. When one of the sides lose and will be thrown out of Security Council, then maybe UN will be de-paralyzed (not guaranteed). If this defeat will not begin nuclear war of course, then the UN will be no more

    Overpopulation is the root cause of all troubles in the world. Armed conflicts is only one of the example. Lack of birth control leads to competition for resources leading to unemployment, poverty, territorial disputes, parking space fights, road rage, crimes etc etc. As long as people and govts don't deal with controlling birth rates, the carnage will happen more & more. Just like how palki Sharma said it at 2.21😅😂😅😅😂😅 'slip of the tongue' 2 billion dogs live in conflict zones today, 12% increase in armed conflicts etc etc. So why is everyone complaining instead of doing birth control.
