Of all the videos and help tips, YOURS is the ONLY 1 that worked!!!! I recall doing this last year but forgot all about it but I was able to replicate exactly everything that you did. The difference is that I was starting out in the wrong ignition key position the whole time before, the ignition was on already and could not access the menu like you said. Guess you have to start out from the position when you first insert the key. I drive a 2016 V220D/W447 by the way. Thanks again and more power to you!
If holding down the buttons is not working for you, MAKE SURE YOU’RE ON THE ODOMETER SCREEN of the trip menu. A lot of these tutorials gloss over this fact, or don’t highlight how important it is. It will not work if you are in any if the other trip screens (speed, eco, etc). You MUST be on the ODOMETER screen.

Update: After a few unsuccessful tries, I watched vid for the 6th time and decided to try holding the "hold" and "phone call" buttons for a longer period. After about 15 seconds the screen DID switch as shown and I was able to proceed with the reset. Hooray and thanks! Does not work on mu US 2018 CLA250. Goes to "Asyst" setting but then does nothing further. This was in response to the alert that my "B" service was overdue "x" days which I want to clear.

Remember just resetting your service light doesn't complete a service, you still need to change the oil, brake fluid, filters ect if you are doing it yourself. Oil services are not a rip off and if you ignore them your engine will break.
Oil services are a rip off!!!! @$235 usd an hour it’s called RAPE! But everything else you said is absolutely accurate! Don’t forget to change your oil people 😊
Oil and filters yes. But if your brake fluid was changed it’s good for alot longer than 2 years MB recommends. At the time of 2 years the brake fluid is still super clear and still working fine. Oil and filter is non negotiable. Here in the us it’s about 250$ for an oil “service” so yeah. I bought F.S 10qts of oil, a new filter for 60$. That way I still have extra. So yeah def saving the 200$+ MB would have charged me just for oil….
Just used this video as guidance for my service reset. Just one pointer, the car must show the Odometer on the screen. If it displays speed or any other part of the onboard computer, the service reset does not come up

For some reasons; I couldnt reset the service light on the 2015 Gla 250. Although, I had done it on my 2009 ml320 bluetec. I had to take it to the dealer to change the oil and have them done it. I traded it in too Now i have 2018 gle350; have not done an oil change yet since it has less than 10000 miles. I will try your method when i change its oil Thanks

If it says cannot complete service just drive around and try it a few days later and it will complete the service
