Let's bear in mind of course, that one doesn't have to buy drink. This is a luxury costing - not an essential one. I have a THFC season ticket and live 10 minutes from our ground. i try to be prudent as possible, thus never buy food or drink at the ground - just eat before I leave. Even for away games I make food at home and bring a bottle of water with me. Working in London I have a monthly Oyster, so no extra cost for London aways, or getting to a station for away days out of London. I doff my hat to those fans who make long distance journeys to every home game. It can't be easy...financially or time-wise.
George, great video mate. It's probably worth caveating that in order to get the ticket for that price, you need to have gone to *a lot* of games to build up *a lot* of loyalty points... Some people are paying silly money for them. Not suggesting that's right or wrong!

Nice vid. Had me thinking that I could do all of that for just a little of $60. But going through the comments, realized you have to have some sort of loyalty discount to get the ticket that low. Which is amazing and well deserved. And drinks? I wish drinks were that that cheap here in the States. They go for about $12 here or a little over £9 for you all. Keep these coming!

Good idea. I would also like to see what on offer at the stadiums, food, what beers are on offer as well as how much. £5.50 is about average for a pint in London but you can find a cheaper pint if you look around. For example if you venture out down the side streets of King X you will find some good pubs with more than just shit chemical beer on sale. I have met away supporters from all over the country in these pubs so good banter and a decent pint on a Saturday morning before the match what more could you want.

Arsenal fan here in America. Those prices are actually very cheap. 63.72 in US dollars. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Very informative thanks George. As an overseas fan, could you please explain the different price structures for matches i.e NLD v say Burnley at home, and how apparently loyalty is rewarded, as surely this is in a way discriminatory against fans that wasn't to see a game but say live overseas and are visiting for a short time.... Also how do you actually afford it, as you're a student aren't you?
Thanks in advance and love the concept. Having visited the UK in the late 80s, I found that the further North you travelled, the cheaper things became, but wouldn't have a clue now.

When me and my dad go to home games it costs us loads. As we live in lancashire the train to london euston is £79 return tubes around London around £10-£20 probably around £30-£40 on food £30-40 on drink £30 ticket for me £60 for my dad around that price anyways. Plus taxis from train station back home is £15 each way so another £30. So its alot of money to go to home games and we go to about 10-13 a season
Can you do a video on how to purchase the tickets as a foreigner? Im Korean and a fan of Sonny so I would love to go watch the Spurs play once but I've heard that its hard to get tickets unless you have a membership(?) or something and that some retail sites are unreliable too. Thanks! Love from Korea :)

That's costly to me since I'm Indian. 51.70 pound(5k + rupees) is actually a decent weekly salary here, meaning it will provide you with a good life and savings as well (except if you're living in the mainland areas example Mumbai ). Oh n love this idea about the expenses.

I see. Flights from Italy are usually cheaper, they start from € 20 (£ 18), moreover i don't like drinking, a pint is enough for me for the whole weekend. So, flights, trains, match ticket, room, food and drinking, are about € 230/250
