The text on the banana thingy box is in Dutch and translates to "push/thrust - fill - enjoy" and that makes the whole situation 10 times funnier to me
THANK YOU
Jupppp
I had to replay to see this. Thank you for the GOLD 😂
All dutch people cry (of laughter)
But daddy, the hot stuff makes me warm and tingly inside.
i truly admire ben's ability to not crack at all the innuendos
I want to like your comment, but the number of likes is perfect as-is so I'm commenting instead.
I never know if he's very collected or sometimes a bit naïve. Probably both. :D
@@Uncle_Smidge I think he's just very collected because sometimes you see his façade break at the last second on screen.
I was so ready to hear Ben’s childhood tale of dipping bananas in melted chocolate for a dessert and then I got THE bougiest banana recipe for a child I have everrrr heard and I was with Mike when he exasperatedly said “your upbringing is what made you a chef!!”
We did this in sweden butt we cut a slith along the banana and used chocolate squares into the slith then u wrapped it in tinfoil and threw it on the embers of a wood fire in the forest. Or bbq
We did in Australia as children, tasted great (but like the Swedish person we wrapped ours in tinfoil).
I've been told that girl scouts here in the US do something similar, too. Great campfire treat.
"I'm gooey in the middle baby let me bake" was actually about the banana yum station, who would have thought?
The cabal thought I'd every way possible, to pass on their disgusting agenda!
I think it's safe to say, that James 'operating' the _Banana Yum Station_ is the best thing that has ever happened 😂
...for everyone but that poor banana.
Lmaooo
most ridiculous and not in a good way
I’m in stitches
Just when you thought sex ed was the most sexual thing that could happen to a banana
James’ exasperation with the dish washing.. thing and Barry and Mike’s sheer excitement is my favorite thing
Is it wrong that I was delighted by it? Overpriced, to be sure, but it worked!
Mike: "Avacado hand ...probably the biggest set back to hit the millennial generation as of yet"
2020: Hold my Avocado
Yeah, that didn’t age well. Lol.
2020: hold my coronavirus
2021: Hold my insurrection
@@darrenbridgewater3520 2020 hold my election fraud
Covid isnt a generational thing. Everyone is impacted by it where as avocado hand is specific to the millennial generation.
Video idea: the chefs have to prepare a dish using only kitchen gadgets.
that doesn't sound very tasty, most those are made from glass or plastic :p
How about they just use gadgets they do not like? And are forced to use them for their intented purpose
No. The last thing this channel needs is more gimmicky content.
Well, we did get a kitchen gadget pass it on that was hilarious.
@@BeardedDanishViking On the contrary - bring on the gimmick!
That's it, you've officially broken James... 😂
Best part of this video - "Your upbringing is the reason you're a chef!"
Truer words have never been spoken. lol
Ben describing his upbringing makes him sound like an anime character who's entire childhood was spent training him to be a chef and giving him the knowledge and mindset to be one, which honestly explains a lot.
Barry's face after Ben said, "this reminds me of my childhood." LMAO
The avocado slicer thingy works great if you have tremors or bad dexterity in your hands. It's why I use it. :)
@@happily_blue I think it might be quite useful for taking out the pit, if you have tremors. My uncle has tremors and dexterity problems and with a normal knife it would be difficult and a bit dangerous for him. This device might help him.
@@LiinGaming I think you missed the part that said "if you have tremors or dexterity problems", dear.
@@Hana_145 Yea if you have any of those things you will have the same problems holding this tool as you will holding a spoon or knife, you can easily make a knife go into the pit and it will come out very easily, no way you can't hold a knife but you can hold this tool.
@@LiinGaming Whatever you say, my friend.
@@Hana_145 I went to take the stone out of an avocado using the knife method, but when I twisted it, the stone cracked (not normal) and the knife slipped and went into the bone of my thumb. Now I just use a spoon, which is actually easier. James appeared to have just squidged it out with his fingers; that might be the way to go, everything else can be done with a butter or table knife. Best guess is that he shoved his thumb under the stone.
Everyone remember to put a banana in your yum stations today in honor of this video.
Guitarmasta I would but I feel my mum might tell me off.
James can me me his banana's yum station.
I'll put a banana in his yum station. 😉
Ben’s childhood memory never fails to surprise the boys after knowing him all these years.
Are there any other surprises about Ben?
He's actually 6ft.
@@Pendragon88 seriously?! He'll probably freaking tower me then geez. Just wow.
@@evinaricamallare5376 I don't actually think he is, unless everyone else is over 7ft
@@Pendragon88 Close! ben actually clocks in at 7'3, a mountain of a man. all the other guys are under 6',they just wear heels to make sure bens ego doesnt get as tall as he is
@@abbf26-_-13 oooh so that's why his chef Jacket looks to short for him.
I’m going to be using “put your banana in the yum station” at some point in the future. And I won’t be able to help it 🤷🏻♀️
“Don’t just go opening a banana willy nilly”, life lessons from baz
Ben: When I was a kid...
Mike: YOUR UPBRINGING IS WHY YOU BECAME A CHEF!!!
Listening to Ben talk about his child hood banana makes me really want to see you guys make a video recreating some of your childhood food experiences. Whether it is the first thing you cooked or something you loved to eat as a kid there is so much potential.
I actually have owned the angled measuring cup for several years and I love it. I don't have any motor control issues but it's just nice when pouring to be able to see the volume without having to get to eye level.
live in the USA and have owned that angled measuring jug for 3+ yrs, so i was surprised (but delighted) to see it on here. And still amazed it wasn't designed decades ago. So useful & ergonomic for anyone, but especially seniors who can't bend down so well - or who struggle lifting heavy measuring jugs (plus contents) to eye level. Love that you gave it air time.
I'm Australian and can't remember when mum's kitchen didn't have an angled measuring jug...so well over 10years
May I ask where you got it Bc it’s soooooo annoying to bend down to check
I've been not buying these for well over a decade in the US. I stick with the pyrex purely for heat resistance, wish they'd get on the angled measure band wagon.
@@candycandy2070 Bed Bath and Beyond, many grocery stores, Target, probably Walmart.
Loved the comment: ooh, that's easy. It's just math. And the answer: well it's hard for me. 😄
“Where did you get this??” It’s volume TEN I think we’re all wondering that

Loved James losing it at every step of using the Banana Yum Station, and you could definitely hear the pain in his voice as he said “useful”
"Oh that's easy that's just maths" "well its hard for me" i feel u mike
The banana yum station is hysterical 😂😂 Barry trying to read the description was so funny!
i kept hitting replay like every 10 seconds, it's a goldmine
"Oh, that's easy. That's just maths."
*cue superGeek them music*
Seeing the angled measuring cup on here surprised me. I've seen those in very well-known professional kitchens, like the Bon Apetit test kitchen. I think they're pretty widely used.
I fully well know I am watching a grown man microwave milk. Maybe that's how I like spending my sundays. You don't know me.
Can we finally have an ultimate cake battle please? I can’t believe you guys havent done one yet 😂
@@jasenrock I think they once said James is a pastry chef. I think it was on the survival food episode. But I could be wrong.
@@jasenrock And yet they do baking regularly.
Mateo Wells He is an expert at bread-making, not at baking in general. In the SUTP challenge with the wedding cake, the chefs admit their incompetences when it comes to baking extravagant goods.
@@user-pd7xw9iv3l sounds like a perfect battle then, we can watch them struggle
Yes please 😭
This week just plain broke the Benuendo counter...and I love it. 😍
Can you do an episode on retro jellied salads and fancy finger sandwiches from the 1950/60s’?
It it is summertime and these recipes need total upgrading if possible 😁.
Barry and mike's face after they gave ben the banana surprise went from giddy to shock to disbelief then finally frustration. It happened so fast but it was everything lol!
7:13 When Mike briefly turnes into Janice.
Me at 21: There is nothing sexier then a man that works out in the gym.
Me at 40: My god are they voluntarily doing dishes? YES YES YES
both cases apply to James
Ben even looked THRILLED to wash that dish
How our priorities change as we grow older 😂
Two words.
Chore. Play.
mandi me congrats on winning CZcams today
Lol. Brilliant
My mom cut her hand open trying to pit an avocado. She went to the hospital and they gave her that exact avocado tool. They said they see that injury at least once a day so they just bought a bunch of those tools to hand out. Lol
I think Barry had it right with kids having fun and adults having a proper laugh. A community toy. The abuelas and aunties chatting round a table and making cute banana snacks, raunchy jokes, and rolling lumpia while babysitting kids and visiting family. I do think a sturdier version would be nice and one that isn’t plastic better yet.
The angled measuring jug is especially useful for the elderly or people with physical problems; lifting something to eye level and keeping it steady / level may be difficult for people with poor motor control. It's definitely an accessibility product that is generally useful for everyone.
great if you have mobility issues and cant bend to be eye level with measuring cup!
I have 3 different sizes of that exact measuring cup, because they were only a tad bit more than the normal ones and just seemed easier so when I was stocking my kitchen that's what I bought... and they are totally easier! The measuring angle is super helpful, and they pour really well, much better than my pyrex cup, I really like them and if you are in need of a new measuring cup they are worth it.
@@FoxDragon I got all 3 sizes, found them at the dollar store. For $3 I love em
Oxo there whole concept is accessibility really I have loads of their stuff
I have one, it's incredibly useful
James losing it over the banana gadget was the best thing I’ve ever seen 🤣🤣🤣
Ben was thrown back to age 7, James to 13
I actually have both measuring cups (use the small silicone one for melting butter and the big silicone one whenever I need to add liquid to anything) and the avocado slicer. I use the avocado slicer at the office to add fresh avocado to my lunch. I find it to be efficient and neat (especially for removing the stone).
The banana surprise that Ben describes from his childhood was exactly what my family did but we’d add a dash or six of kirsch or rumtopf. Hot chocolate banana with rumtopf and ice cream, heaven!
brb, running to shop, must buy Banana Surprise for urology dept. break room!
Straight cath practice! I wonder what french the banana tube is.
I'm... glad?... that I'm not the only one who went there!
I refuse to accept a repeated dad joke of the week so here another as substitute:
A man once asked a flight attendant "how often do planes crash"
She replied "generally just once, though it can depend on how well you fix it"
What's funny about the repeated dad joke is that it was also in a gadget review video
As an American I offer a FREEDOM DAD JOKE, in honor of our recent holiday:
Why doesn't Captain America knock?
Because freedom rings.
The dad jokes are always food related, so here is my substitute:
Why did the banana go out with a prune? Because he couldn't find a date.
Ori Bennett and it was to Barry as well 😂
Just found out about this channel recently, and was surprised to see the angled measuring cup as a gadget, because my roommate had one when I moved into my current place where I've lived for four years now, so to me, that's a normal, everyday piece of cookware that I can't imagine not having, like a chef's knife or spatula.
The cadbury button BBQ banana was something I did with scouts. Didn't realise people did that at home haha
Rosy Boa what? No. We had smores as well. I don't think the banana thing was done everywhere. I think it was just something my patrol did
Where did Mike go at 7:13? I only heard Janice.
I know, right?!?! I was thinking the same thing!! 😂😂😂
Do you mean just before at 7:13? He sounded like her in another part of the video too but I forget when now lollllllll!! XD
Oh my god yesss😂😂
Laura Norda yeah, my time code was a bit off
At 5:47 too 😂
James: "Useful"
Everyone: 😲😲😲😲😲
The angled measuring cup is awesome. I've been using that exact one for years and I hate it when it gets lost amongst the dishes.
The roasted banana Ben was on about just gave me flash backs to scout camps omg I need to make on 😭
We've made them in the oven a lot, when it's cooling after a baked pasta dish or casserole.
Like Ben I had the banana thing growing up. Unlike Ben ours had some gin splashed into them...
I think this says a lot about my family.
Maybe his did too, and he didn't realize it, seeing as he's so into his gin and tonic as a big kid.
I did this as a child also, but it was squeezy chocolate sauce instead of buttons. A friend of my mum's used to make them on the BBQ.
We need a sorted innuendo bingo using clips of things Ben has said 👌🏼
So. The kitchen I work at actually had the avocado multitool. We make our own guacamole and when you aren't actually a trained chef. It's nice to have something that does the job you need fast
Best. Gadget. Test. Ever!
Especially that alien from District 9 that washes dishes!
And the Post Credit scene made me rethink my life 😂
The last part makes me laugh so hard.
And Mike is right, Ebbers up-bringing is why he is a chef. Hahaha
I’ve sat and watched paint drying, so of course I am going to watch Ben heating milk in the microwave🤣
Yea, as he said it I was like "of course I'd watch you heat up milk in the microwave, you silly man" 😁
I watched James and the banana gadget more times than I can count and laughed until tears ran down my cheeks each time. If I need a pick me up because I've had a bad day I watch that video and life doesnt seem so bad, at least for awhile
Wow, that's the first time I've used a kitchen gadget from this series! We had that angled measuring cup at work. I don't think a lot of people were reaching for it over regular measuring cups though...
THe banana item is honestly the best idea ever! I love seeing them review it!
The OXO angled measuring cup is AWESOME. I love mine!
Same!
yup!
Agreed. I was surprised to see it on here. I assumed it was pretty common
Same have all 3 sizes of them.
Love it too. Have had it for years 😉
"Put your banana in my yumstation" as the Actress said to the Bishop. :)
Just a friendly reminder that some of the gadgets you guys review are actually made to help people with disabilities!! They may be useless to you but not for many others. 😊
THIS IS SO NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK OMG! 😂
I can't get over the fact that Ben knew the word smutty! Oh dear, my face is red and I'm actually crying of laughter!
he's the king of innuendos what you expect 😂
@@britnii113 true, but still!
What killed me is him trying to act all innocent about it and then use the word "smutty"!
He's such a big troll 😂
Ben is not innocent. He's a naughty little crumpet. He just blushes through it, is all.
Can I get your studio PO Box so I can bill you guys for the therapy I need after watching Ben use that banana thing?
I don't know about you, but for me Ben having some Banana fun time WAS therapy
@@alialdor1481 exactly!
@@alialdor1481 never.... Never use those words in that particular order again
I love Mike and Barry's endless faux enthusiasm.
🤣🤣 Mike and Barry's excitement is priceless!! Ben and James reaction on the dish washer was fantastic!! The banana's, oh my the bananas, and the innuendos through out!! Lol
3 ways to cook oats.. Plz... 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Yes please! Doable recipes tho.
Poor James, you're trying to destroy him lmbo I love James.
Totally relate to your childhood story, Ben!! We used to cut a V-shape out of bananas and stuff it with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, wrap it back up in the skin, into foil, and throw it in the coals! Delicious!
Ben's banana thing is actually quite common. Its a go to for scouts to cook on a campfire
Barry's laugh is possibly one of the best things about SF 😂
Idk why this video is weirdly funny 😂
Barry: turn me on
Ben: mine is a little small
Mike: while you're playing with your banana yum station
😂
I have the look from above measuring cup one and a giant one for batter etc and they ate my top used. I love them. I have joint problems so looking from above means I can use both hands. Also the handle does sit on the counter so it's bigger and the unit is super stable. Mines 4 years old now and still perfect
Love the Alien masquerading as a kitchen implement. The Dad joke after the banana was a good ending to a video I really didn’t want to end.
I was already watching it when the notification came 😅😅...
The plate cleaning thingy kinda looked like a lobster..
Seen ‘The Tick’ on Amazon Videos?
My first thought was grasshopper.
I thought it was plankton from spongebob 😂
Adjustable for many sizes.... oh, Ben.
I have that Oxo plastic measuring mug in three sizes. One of the best things I ever bought for my kitchen :-D
Me too ... LOVE them!
I'm always amazed by all how you find these contraptions.
I do have the angled measuring cup and I love it.

Yo, this is a weird idea, but could you guys do something with weekly meal plans for us folks who only try to cook on Sunday? I loved your Christmas follow along, and it would be awesome to have a 5 day healthy/affordable meal plan either all cooked or prepped for those who work all week. Also please do more three way battles! ^.^
This is my favourite Sorted video of all time!
Do more of the remaking old sorted recipes! I binge watch a bunch of them and they’re amazing!!!
This might've been the most...questionable episode yet.
I think the episode with the coffee art pen was better, but this came very close.
The oxo slanted measuring cups are my go to measuring cup for liquids. I've got the 4 tablespoons one up to the 4 cups size, absolutely love them!
This is great! You guys brightened my day!!
Im so glad i found you guys its so easy to binge
All of you loosing it over the plate washer had made my week 😂
Thank you for making these guys, love it ❤️
I love everyone of the kitchen gadget episodes! More more more!
Look, that angled measuring jug is super useful. Fight me!
Both chefs agreed with you. I had one too, before I broke it by melting butter in it. I wanted to make butterscotch in it 😢
I agree with u as well.
Great video already, i have inly seen the intro😂😁. More ultimate battles pleaseeeeee!!!!
I have that oxo angled measuring cup thing and I love it!
Everything about that banana gadget was absolute gold. Cried tears of laughter.

THANK you James and Ben for reviewing the Banana Yum Station!!! I was laughing so hard I was in tears!!!!
BEST. VIDEO. OF. THE. DAY!!!!!!!!
I laughed SO hard during this one!!!! Great job guys!!!
Sunday's don't suck as much since theres always a new sorted video! YAY Ben
I've grown up with the angled measuring jug and until I had to use a normal measuring jug didn't realise how easy I had it...I love my angled measuring jug, there is no bending or head tilting and the labels never fade over time so it's just as good as the first time my mum bought it home.
I have the Oxo Angled measuring cups (1 c, 2 c & 4 c set) and love them!
I LOVE these series (and the kind that Emmy does over on emmymadeinjapan) for finding more accessible kitchenware! That silicone jug seems great, so you can hold it with two hands and not burn yourself, and still be able to pour in any way that's comfortable (even if not with the spout oxo put in). Imma have to get one, thanks guys!
