  • It is the start of summer and in Episode 37 Bugsy takes us down to a local ledge in Sydney to throw lures for the Yellowtail Kingfish ( seriola lalandi) as it is known in Australia, Hiramasa in Japan and Yellowtail in the USA and the humble bonito. Rock fishing is dangerous and requires a high level of experience and knowledge of the ocean. Stay safe on the ledge. Always wear a lifejacket, suitable apparel and shoes. Fish with friends and look out for each other. Only fish when conditions are safest. Enjoy the vid!

hi Bugsy mate can you please give us some in-depth information of lures you used (grams length and where to purchase) in this episode as I am and many other are new to lure fishing.

Hi mate, the first one is the Jigaro Super Slide 80 grams in green. Your local tackle shop should stock them. I like to support my local small businesses. The second is a DUO Roughtrail Blazin 110, I think it is 64g. Really hard to find. If you find one let me know. And the third one, my mate made it by hand. Very cool and he is getting better and better at it. Hope that helps

Is that Justin Compton at 8:50? He used to be my English teacher at school! Funny seeing him here, didn’t realise he was a ledge lord😂

We call the small ones rats. It is a common nickname for the small kingfish
