  • Hi Guys, today I’ll show you how to make these Crispy Fried Chicken Wings. PRINT RECIPE: anitacooks.com/recipe/crispy-... Yes I know I just did a wing recipe a few days ago, but these are just too good and I had to share them right away. There’s nothing complicated about this recipe, I’m using a few basic ingredients you already have in your kitchen. Link to Combo Cooker I’m using: amzn.to/2gJRGla
    Link to Strainer: amzn.to/2hpOeQB
    Link to Baking Tray: amzn.to/2h9PR48
We’ll start with 3 lbs of chicken wings - this is 28 wings. They came as whole wings, I’ve split them and cut off the tips. You’ll end up with a lot of tips and you can save them to make a good homemade chicken stock. Heat up a few inches of vegetable oil in a heavy pot. In a bowl, crack eggs, add salt, garlic powder and ground black pepper. Mix this really well. In another bowl, add all purpose flour, salt, garlic powder, paprika, ground black pepper and onion powder. Mix this really well. Take each piece of chicken and dip it in cornstarch on both sides. It’s easiest to pile ½ cup of cornstarch on one side of a baking pan, dip each piece in and leave it on the tray. The chicken pieces should be completely covered in the corn starch. Now dip each piece in the egg mixture, drip off excess and put in the flour. Completely coat each piece with the seasoned flour. It’s best to use the non-eggy hand for the flour. Set the coated pieces on the same baking tray. To check if your oil is hot, gently put the tip of a piece of chicken in and if it bubbles, the oil is ready. When frying, don’t overcrowd the pot, put in a few pieces at a time. I can put 5 pieces in this pot at one time. I’m using a cast iron 3.2 quart pot that came as a combo with a 10.25 inch skillet. In case you’re interested, I’ll put a link to the combo in the description below. Cook the chicken for 8 to 10 minutes depending on how big they are. I cooked mine for 10 minutes since they are large wings. Turn them over halfway. If you have a splatter screen, this is a good time to use it to avoid grease all over your stove top.
Drain them and place on a paper towel lined plate or wire rack. Keep frying them in batches.
These wings are very crispy with a good amount of crust. The meat is juicy. The wings are seasoned nicely so they can be eaten by themselves. Of course you can serve them with hot sauce, ketchup, barbecue or your favorite sauce.
I don’t have a whole plate of chicken to show you as they were being eaten by my family while I was making them. They are best eaten hot but I had a few several hours later and they were still crispy. This is a great recipe for any kind of party or occasion as everyone loves wings. Try them and let me know how you like them in the comments below. Subscribe and I’ll see you next time. Thanks for watching :)

Didn't you find that the breading became soggy with buffalo sauce? If I am coating the wings in sauce, I do this. Dry wings with paper towel, sprinkle with season salt, wait 10 mins, coat COMPLETELY with seasoned flour, put on rack in fridge for 30 mins, coat again COMPLETELY in seasoned flour, rack/fridge 30 minutes, then deep fry/coat in sauce. The coating will adhere to the meat/skin and cannot be peeled off. The wings stay crispy even with the sauce on after 15 minutes or longer. The egg makes the breading too thick and soggy.

I was hungry and I looked up deep frying chicken wings and found your video.
I tried this and it came out great.
Now I'm full/having that slight regret making this/natural fullness kicked in feeling.
