- This is the largest HOARD of SILVER Denarii EVER found metal detecting in Lancashire, including silver jewellery and a massive 83 coins, its been declared treasure.
Found by the Ribble Valley Digs Club members Andrew Winter and Andrew Bijesterbosche on Saturday 15th January 2022. I was stood with them as the first silver roman coins came up from the ground, I filmed it all live as it happened, in between there were other awesome finds including a bronze age spearhead and numerous Hammered coins. It was the most incredible group dig I have ever been on, and feel extremely proud to have been part of it. This is what we all dream of as metal detectorists, and if that wasnt enough I even won £100 in the raffle. Metal detecting with my Garrett at max. The hoard has now been declared as treasure and we think theres still more to find.

I'm with you on the spearhead. It's the best find for me. That and the silver bracelets. Personal objects mean more to me than coins. I would rather have something a person wore or used on a daily basis. For me I just love the personal connection. Awesome video Dawn.👍☮️

@@DiggerDawn Its about time you moved with the times and got rid of the Garrett ring thing finders, and moved onto a better detector like a minelab or xp deus and found some decent stuff

Find of the day was the spearhead without a doubt, the condition of it was wonderful. The Denarii just kept coming and the bracelets were also excellent. What an upload for you to edit and congratulations on your draw win. Dawn another great video nicely filmed and put together. I'm moving out of Buckinghamshire to Devon/Somerset and when settled will again pursue this Hobby hopefully there will be a few farmers that give me permissions and a club I can join. You keep digging and I will catch up on your videos once I got settled.

Good on ya lass...I was born in Lancashire then they changed county lines and now Warrington is in Cheshire county. Warrington has always had treasures buried from, Romans to as far back as Vikings.. I remember going to the museum in Warrington and seeing a silver Viking dagger found by a young lad fishing in a pond . What a fabulous day gigging Dawn 👍🏽👍🏽 so nice to see little Diggy dog with you , he looks cute in his bow tie❤️

Hello Dawn and Diggy. Grand video. Congrats on winning the lottery. That spear was a fantastic find wow. Hoards and silver coins. I'd like to have a QE1 coin. Think that's the first time that I've seen them found. In the USA the logo for Special Operations is the tip of the spear, like that found one.
