This is our favorite restaurant!!! As far as the bread goes we tell them at first, just bring the garlic rolls and extra butter. The butter is amazing. You have to try the Ale steak and Ale porch chop and the spinach maria. The best steak, chop and side that you will ever eat!!!! We go lots of the time and just get the side salad and garlic rolls with lots of butter. Not sure what is in that butter, but it is great.
We loved the bread here, especially those butter rolls! Next time, I will take your suggestion and ask for extra butter! We love a good steak and pork chop, so we may need to check them out. The spinach Maria sounds interesting. We agree about going here and just getting a salad with the bread! They have a great salad and bread game for sure. Now I am sad for those horses pulling carriages. It is hard to pick a favorite bread. Biscuits have to be our favorites though. Cheddar cheese salad dressing??? That sounds amazing. All your food looked so delicious. I am a big fan of smoked chicken - it is great if prepared well. Thanks for sharing this review!

Nice that you were able to eat outside at Calhoun's Restaurant. For dinner, I would go for the regular rolls. Breakfast I like the biscuit & corn bread. That fresh bacon salad with the cheddar dressing looks amazing and is a meal on its own. I'd be dipping the bread in the cheddar dressing for sure. Delicious looking bacon, cheese and jalapeño burger. I love a lot of jalapeños. Those sesame rolls are popular where I live on Long Island for sandwiches and it goes good on Matt's burger. Those baked beans do look homemade and looks so good. The chicken entree looked so good especially with the chicken skin. I love baked potatoes. I eat them with butter & sour cream and I definitely eat the skin. I like those big cozy booths inside. Great value for the quality and quantity of food. Nice menu. I would get the pulled pork nachos and the steak and shrimp entree. Thanks for a great video.
These salads definitely could be a meal in their own right, and we're so good. That is a great suggestion to try the bread in the cheddar dressing. The burger was great. I wish I could still find those type rolls around here. The baked beans were unique and delicious. Staci really enjoyed the chicken entree. I agree you got to leave the skin on and eat it to get the best flavor of the baked potato. Those booths did look cozy, especially when the fire was going, I bet. You do get a lot of food for the money here. We like this place, and we will go back and try some more of the interesting menu with lots of things to try on it. I'm a regular customer at Calhoun's... I go to the original one on the river. Have you ever had the spinach Maria? It's delouises. Known for their bbq. Great pork chops, catfish & fries.... The ribs are great and the bbq sandwich is also, I always put coleslaw on my bbq sandwich, lol Also ask for honey for the biscuits and corn bread next time
I have not had the spinach Maria, what's it like? I had their ribs in Gburg and they weren't the best-passable though. I'd be willing to give them another chance, especially since that's what they are known for! Thanks for watching and commenting!

We had bad luck with the bread at the Gatlinburg location. All of the bread was hard and cold.

yummy biscuits, dinner rolls, cornbread muffin quite basket.Yall probably hit the place at the right time. Depending on the rest of the meal normally Corn muffin as long as it's not sweet. Never heard of cheddar cheese dressing either. Burgers are almost always a good go to. Bean's kinda had a chili appearance did they bring the wrong item ? Smoked meat when done correctly is always good. Thanks for the review.
The bread was all good, it was hard to choose favorite! The dressing is AMAZING. The beans looked unusual and had a lot of chili powder in them but they were good....maybe it was chili with beans on accident? Who knows, lol. Thanks for watching!

I love Olive Garden but I'm not the biggest fan of their breadsticks. Matt, however, loves them! We also love the Texas Roadhouse bread with their cinnamon butter! So yummy! Thanks for watching!

They sell that Cheddar cheese dressing for $5.00 a bottle here in Knoxville...not sure about Pigeon Forge location, which isn't far from here. They may not advertise it, but they do sell it...just ask.

I agree with Matt. I like whatever Bread goes with my Meal. Like Cornbread with Beans. I only like Butter on my Baked Potato. That Salad Dressing sounds interesting. Great review

CHEDDAR CHEESE SALAD DRESSING
3/4 c. mayonnaise
3/4 c. sour cream
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Dash of garlic powder
Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix with electric blender or mixer until smooth. Makes a good raw vegetable dip or use over cooked vegetables or baked potatoes.
