I wish Wendy had extended grace to Amanda Bynes when she was struggling. She made that girl "Hot Topic " so many times. Wendy wasn't one to be empatheic towards others who are struggling.. . The way she spoke to the Nail Technician in the documentary was the true Wendy. She treats powerless people as if they are nobody. It's sad she's going through the same thing that she thought was entertainment for her show. In life we should spread positve messages. Never look down on a person unless you are going to pick them up. It's so refreshing to watch Sherry Shepard in that spot spreading joy.

Growing up in the south Bronx, hearing Wendy on the radio every day was the highlight of my life. She was a woman doing and saying things that the average woman that I had access to wasn't doing and saying. She was a total inspiration to young women who dreamed of having a fabulous career. That documentary had me in tears! We can clearly see that Wendy has been suffering for YEARS. Years before her husband even came along because she hated being big and fat. She hated herself which is why she was using cocaine and abusing alcohol. She put herself through many surgeries and she really believes that looking the way that she does looks good. I pray for Wendy's improved health and for her broken heart to be healed😍

I went thru alzheimer's dementia with my Ma ... one of the lessons I learnt is: NEVER try to reason with them. Always agree or distract. At 11:59 (video timer) whoever that is, should never confront a person with that illness. I sincerely hope the people around her are TRAINED to deal with her illness. She may throw tantrums, that is par for the course; let her throw the tantrum, but try your damndest to distract. I feel proud of what I went thru with my Ma, in that I EDUCATED myself of her condition. This made me treat her and her illness easier on me.
They are not and it shows throughout the series. If they aren't manipulating her (Will) or enabling her (the publicist), they are attempting to scrounge and live off her (the nephew and son). It was clear no one in her circle of friends and family or her management team understand dementia and are causing her more harm than good.
It clearly doesn’t seem like they are properly trained. But I’m sure they are getting a check as her care giver . She needs to be around family NOT in front of the camera. I took care of my sister who died of breast cancer and grandfather who had dementia . Never in a million lifetimes would I put a camera in their face during that time . Everyone should be ashamed of themselves ( even Lifetime). It’s so sad on all levels 😢

My mother was just diagnosed and it is a humbling to see whose eyes look at you like they want you to help them but there is nothing you can do but assure them that everyone loves them. It’s a look in their eyes I can’t explain. It’s emptiness, fear and confusion and you feel helpless. You can only be joy having to have known them.
My mother didn’t do any vices and ate well etc God has allowed her to live 82 yrs and she is still going. Love on them as much as you can ❤

Wendy was the female Howard Stern. It was her job. No one criticizes Howard Stern’s job. No one should criticize Wendy and say that karma has come to get her. It’s just not true!
@@malkaz9167 Howard Stern has always had people up in arms over his commentary offended by things he’s said on his show. He’s been sure numerous times by other celebs or they just won’t cone on his show. At the end of the day we CHOOSE everything we do and say. No one has to be salacious, gossipy, triggering and toxic in their career paths. Being successful at it doesn’t make it right is my point, and everything we say and do good or bad brings consequences, some call it Karma. I call it Universal Reciprocity. Wendy’s is playing out on tv where she put it out and it’s sad to watch. I hope her family is able to take over her care and she gets better and is able to live on her son again.
This is very sad, but the aggression is definitely part of dementia. I have worked with a lot of patients that have dementia. I pray she gets the best care team and lives the rest of her life in peace.

I understand what you are saying Funmi. I’m a caregiver and I get to see one of my client decline from dementia. This is a client who was so vibrant in her early stages. We went shopping together did many exciting stuffs together. Took long walks etc. now she’s doesn’t know who I am 😢and now being spoon fed. I shed a few tears the last time I was with her.

I worked with service users with dementia for more than 25 years, it was painful for the children to see their parents deteriorating and they can't do anything about it. God is in control, so sorry for her and her son sending prayers, she needs love, and people to be patient with her.

I can relate to Wendy's family I used to volunteer with Alzheimer's and dementia patients, it's hard to watch I feel so bad for Wendy and her family.

Thank you my sis Fumi for this episode and how sensitive, considerate, thoughtful and kind you addressed this topic. Dementia is hell. For those who are affected and for those who care for them. I had the feeling that Ms Williams was struggling with a form of memory loss/ cognitive decline ( I am also a nurse since 1990)- you can see it in the eyes. And yes, trauma and pain intensify every condition. Given the fact that substance use was in the mix did surely not help. And I so, so, so cosign what you said about judging her. It's not our place (this is between the parties involved) and it is surely not the time. I am so sorry for your uncle's suffering and for the loss you and your family had to endure. And a hundred times yes for putting you and your family first. It's so easy to get lost in this capitalist streets. To nurture and to tend to those who love us is not only an art form and a form of expressing oneself but also the refusal to give it all to "the game". The game goes on, always. People will not. Children grow, partners get older, friends move away, pets have vent a shorter time in their bodies. So I wish you for this spring time to tend to you and your loved ones. You lead with showing how to center what is important for a person, being real, vulnerable, authentic. And this is what counts. Sending my love🥰
