I've had debilitating pain in my knees for years now. I used to hike, climb mountains, and work out. Then I couldn't do a flight of stairs and went on to gain 50 lbs over 5 years. I went to physio, no help. I really gave up and thought that surgery might be the only option. I was doing a little online research. Found this video. Bought a massager. And now, 4 months on, I'm running again, doing yoga, losing weight. What a god sent. Thanks so much you guys!
wow thats great. keep grinding.
2 years later, how is it?
You guys don’t know how many people you help. You guys are an angel.thanks.
You guys saved my weekend. Woke up with quad tendinitis after a workout, no idea what the problem was, this has been helpful.
@abdirahman hussein with doing the exercises 3-5 times per day, about 5 days for full functionality.
How did you fix it I’ve been watching videos and I don’t understand I only have a month in a half before spring training starts for football
@@mark.2shiesty I used 15 minute cycles of ice and then heat for an hour or so with my leg elevated and straightened. Between each hot and cold cycle I would spend a few minutes using the palm of my hand to massage right above my kneecap where i felt the most tension.
Same
Omg I can’t walk for 3rd week cuz of pain behind the knee. Should I do light exercises or rest?
Hey Bob, Brad! You have saved me from great discomfort. I developed tendonitis in March this year and tried every possible thing I could think of. But after watching this video I tried your way of massaging above my knee and... TADA!!! I did this for only about 4 to 5 times and now the stiffness has completely gone. I express my gratitude ❤️. Thank you very much.
Absolutely amazing, have had pain in my right leg going on nearly a year now, I think it's from driving, started shooting down below the knee.....couldn't even lift my knee when standing to a 90 degree angle. Massaged the muscles across below my buttocks, so tender, did it for 15 minutes already I can feel relief when lifting my knee. Will keep going. I want to run again and lose weight. Thanks guys!!!
Wow, I’ve been dealing with pain above my knee for days. After some googling I found out it’s diabetic tendinitis and I ran across your video. I just did some cross friction massage for about 30 seconds with just my fingers and it’s already started to take the edge off. Thank you! It really hurt!
I’ve been in pain for the last three weeks and this is so amazing. Thank you.
This video is gold to me. I’m 25 trying to make my comeback and this has helped so much
Love those quotes and your videos are always helpful. Thanks
Bob and Brads advice cured my frozen shoulder and got my hand and wrist mobile following a break.
They are the best, share with everyone. Thank you guys, you are a true blessing. 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
NO WAY!!!! I’ve been having very painful tendinitis for the last 3 weeks or so to the point that I’m pretty much scared for leg day or even bend my knees to pick something up though out my day! After one single massage it feels like I’ve never had pain it’s insane!! Thank you so much 🥰🥳
I didn’t know what it was at first I accidentally banged my knee on a propane tank right above the knee cap and it got worse after running on it for a couple weeks so no I need to take it easy and rest. But sounds like you had a similar situation
Mine goes away when I sit down.
Did you heal it? I have the same problem.
@@EliteOneTVRest is the key😊 Do Not Stress it in anyway, even walk very less and Just be on rest for few days (Two to three weeks), take my words, it will fine. 😊
@@UsercyxgwkzI tried resting for that king and nothing helped.
Blessing to the both of you. I've had this for about 10 years are jarring both knee caps slipping down a 2" step in poor light. I was in agony for months.... couldn't stand still for too long and couldn't sit for too long and I have to drive a some long distances in my job. My doctor just said take some pain killers and rest it, it calmed down but never fully healed. Now I'm 58 and the ache and stiffness to bend is getting really bad again, doing a few bodyweight squats helps to relieve the stiffness but unfortunately the pain is always there and when bad it's transmitted up into my thighs. I'm sure it's a build up of scar tissue because it's never been treated properly.
I have a massage gun so will be using the side technique as you instructed and hopefully that will help bring about the healing I need.
God bless you both
Bob & Brad you are the best! I am highly appreciative of what you guys do for us, and have certainly helped me out.
Y'alls channel is literally a miracle for me
My quad has been hurting for a month. I did the cross massage with a massage gun and feels almost completely better!! Thank you!!!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Been nursing a bum knee for more than a year that never seemed to get completely well (didn't get worse either, though). Turns out it was my quad affecting my knee, not my knee affecting my quad. Did the massage for 15 minutes, feel 21 again! Well, maybe 51, but better. Thank you so much!
Thank you for this!!! My quad was aching right down by my knee right after a workout. This helped relieve pain immediately.
Thank You guys for this! Y'all were helpful with my rotator cuff impingement and SLAP tear on one side. Now...based on self diagnosis .....I think I have this in my left knee. I'm in my mid fifties and like a dumby; I do heavy front squats and dead lifts....I know not recommended at my age....I give my self plenty of recovery. I day a week I do dead lifts, then the next week front squats and alternate each week. I do famer carries about 1 or 2 times a week. I do full upper body training in between. I just ordered some knee compression sleeves for every day activities. I'm not going to do anything to exacerbate my knee. I just ordered the mini massage gun. If I don't notice it getting better over time, then to my Dr. Thank Y'all again! Have Mercy, does getting old just plain stink!!!! I'll be watching the rehab for this videos next.
Gosto muito das explicações de vcs.. coloquem legendas em português nos vídeos. Assim mais pessoas poderão aprender com vcs. Obrigada! 👍
Just found these guys. Thought they were a bit cheesy at first, but dang they know their stuff. This is great! I'm subscribing today.
Nothing but good quality help from these two!! Thank you
Happy to help!
Today is day 7 of my injury and I wish I had found this video earlier because I found this video 15 mins ago and I confidently can say I feel A LOT BETTER already.
This has been super helpful! I haven't been able to do squats without a twinge for a while
Thank you so much for this video. I already feel better.
thanku sir.. your voice is my positive affirmation ❤❤❤❤
You guys make watching videos a lot of fun 😅
On a serious note I started vigorously massaging my leg while first watching your and it feels incredibly better!!
Thank you for what you do. Without this video I would probably still be in pain. Subscribing forever
Found this just at the right time.
Thanks!
Lovely video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you thought about - Riddleagan Beating Sonorousness Remedy (probably on Google)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for getting rid of your chronic knee pain minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my cousin got excellent success with it.
I've been using a lacrosse ball on that area. Highly recommended.
I literally thought my tendons were teared on Leg day and it scared the hell out of me... Thanks to you sir i finally got control and able to raise my knee
Bob & Brad, have been watching you videos for 3 years now love it, very helpful with my TKA recovery
Now my PT was too aggressive, demanding 30 reps of exercises ,although I was telling me it’s very painful burning, he wouldn’t care
I injured my quad,it’s third day,it’s bruising now. So painful with any movement, flexing, walking. Do I need to go to ER? I am elderly also 5 wks post TKA with MI & stent
I've been dealing with my quadricep tendonitis since November 2020....he's absolutely right about it taking a long time to heal. Thanks for the tip, will definitely give this a shot.
Did it ever heal?
Yeah, did it heal?
@@jaleelatafolabi8073 No…unfortunately still I am still going to PT at this time. They are currently trying EPAT(shockwave Therapy) on my knee. It seems to be getting better but it has its days.
@@Nick-cq7bz no, it became a Tendinosis. Still batting it today 😞
Best of luck dude, I’m an athlete who just graduated high school and plans on playing football and wrestling in college. I’ve been dealing with quadricep tendonitis in both legs for almost a year now, and over the past couple months it has gotten progressively worse and essentially put all my training on hold. The hardest part was simply figuring out what was wrong, but finding treatment has been a struggle too. It’s no joke, I hope you can find something that can give you some relief because the amount it affects my day to day life is shocking
I'm definitely going to support you guys by buying your product.
Thank you for this advice, Bob and Brad
i am currently at the beginning of dealing with a repaired re attached quad tendon and tear in the other leg,
Unable to walk at the moment, conserving the tear with the exercise’s while the other leg surgery heals,
I have bought your T2 massager to begin some massaging, as hand massaging causes little to no pain now at 3 weeks,
Will work on the repaired leg once out of support cast,
Omg I have been suffering with this pain for over 4 weeks now and I couldn’t bend my knee at all and my doctor well it was a nurse I saw just looked at me and said quote “loose weight” that’s it. And sent me on my way. I searched the Internet and come across this video and oh my gosh!!!! Instant relief!!! Soooo much better I can actually bend my knee without pain!!! Xxx
That sounds like a total asshole move by that nurse. Even though weight can be a cause of this kind of pain, they could have been kinder about it as well as acknowledge that there’s other ways to treat it besides just that.
Thank you very much, the masage worked!
Dealing with quad tend for quite a while now, this was very helpful!!
Glad to help :)
Lunge exercises cause this.
@@crand20033 Yes. After lunges my Quads hurting too much.
@@madhavvishnoi My left quad never recovered. It still tightens up with pain after a year of quitting lunges with weights.
@@crand20033 omg same! but even after bodyweight lunges or squats 😢 basically i can forget about training legs? ☹️
The intro is fire!
This actually works thank you.
This was soooo helpful!! Thank you thank you!!!
Did you have pain behind the knee? How long you healed your pain?
Wow. I noticed a difference right away after a little massaging. I guess I just got to keep at it because the pain been there for a while and it’s preventing me from leg day. Hope this helps!
Thank you guys so much for this awesome help. I am going to try this as soon as I get home. However, is this going to help me if I have feel pain in my vastus leteralus right where my knee start on my left side?
Who needs Bert and Ernie when you got Bob and Brad?!! Thanks guys
If I wanna use ice as well during the day, shall I use it b4, after, or away from this treatment? Thx Bob & Brad you're awesome!
Almost instant relief. Thanks guys
Glad it helped!
Wow this is good. So helpful. And thankfully I do have a top-tier massage gun. Never knew swimming could be so dangerous.
Thanks alot . I was not able to lift my right thighs from past 2 weeks . With 15 minutes of massage . I am able to lift my thighs now . Need some more massaging . But thanks alot to both of you . Stay blessed ❣️❣️
thanks this helped me with the hands
Many thanks!
Bob and Brad you are public health heroes.
I did what brad and Bob recommended and the next day my leg fell off!!
Just kidding, I appreciated the anatomy explanation. It’s helpful to understand.
Thanks!
Thanks guys
Update on my knee prob(I'm 52),couple or more times a year for the past 2 years i get a swelling above the knee cap and can't bend it,felt tight when i did try,3 or 4 days rest then it'd be ok.I have the same prob again and have had for 3 weeks😵ive only ever put ice on it never massaged it as was scared I'd make it worse..then boom i watched Bob and Brad's video..wow what a God send👍🏻👌🏻
I have swelling as well above my knee cap, and swelling on the sides of my knee cap I got an MRI, but they don't know what's wrong, they keep telling me I have patellar femoral disorder, which everything Ive read is basically a diagnoses of "We don't know what's wrong with you" but its been 6 weeks now and swelling has not gone down, I'll try anything. I just purchased this gun, how long should you use it on the quadricep area? I pray this works.
Thoughts on eccentric exercise therapy and progressive tendon loading exercise therapy for quadriceps tendon?
Honestly peeps. Been struggling with this for a year. Changed the game in 7 minutes. Thank you.
How about after 2 months?
Such an obvious bot comment. I'm amazed these frauds have gotten away with this fake engagement.
@@SuperYtc1 Haha, not a bot g. Just a guy that struggled with Quad tendonitis for some time....love
Actually, after first treatment it feels better, although I couldn't believe... Thank you :) I wonder if using Glucosamine or Collagen would be beneficial ?
After getting patella tendinitis surgery, the best exercise that I found to help strengthen and stretch out my quadriceps was the Assisted Sissy Squat, and then the Hack Squat Machine Sissy Squat (along with the usual step ups and leg extension exercises).
Need to be careful though and work your way up gradually.
I’ve read your not suppose to get surgery for any tendinitis...
@@BandoNando727 if it gets too bad then they can take out the inflamed section
@@masonmennell8514 ohh okay good luck it took a while for me to cure it.. glad those days are over
@@BandoNando727 what did you do to heal it? Thanks!
@@kyleendick4971 there’s a video here on CZcams that shows you how to load weight on it. The quad is just that kinda muscle and tendon that you need to load a lot of weight on and gradually add more in order to kick start the healing process. If you want I can attach the video on here.
I used a butter knife the round handle part and oil and scrap the scar tissue. My quad tendinitis is in the chronic phase so there’s not a can do to stop the pain but my method allows me to lessen it and maintain mobility. You essentially have to loosen up those adhesions. Otherwise that tendon starts to resemble a cold old rubber band, which leads to snap city my friends.
The "carry on" at the end cracks me up.
I found after months of pain that cupping helped the most!
What is cupping?
Cupping on your quad and knee?
Yes acupuncture and cupping
Actual blood letting or dry cupping?
Useful vedio really ... Plz sir what about feet finger swelling due to arthritis ..... Show excerise and back pain due to same ...

Any tips on preventing reoccurance?
Thanks for this! Seems to be helping. My leg is killing me from top of knee all the way to the side of my hip
Sounds like an IT band issue. Not quad tendon.
I have pain in inside of thigh and on knee cap 🥺🥺 how many days does it take to heal
Spendvwith both feet about 2 t 3 feet from Wall and using your arm then lean your hip towards the wall stretching the hip am and piriformis along w glutes that eventually starts to heal the IT band. ThE IT is a tough tendon that probably doesn't stretch muchbwhichbis why we need to stretch massage the muscles attached to it from the hips glutes to the knee. I tried this the the first at wirk last night and I felt relief. Keep doing this w massage ice and and warmth in between and we'll be better til its ALL GONE!! 🙏🙋❤😊
Will this treatment work well for old scar tissue?
Do u press down - use pressure - when u use this massage tool?
I wonder if cupping therapy can help to heal the Quadriceps injury ?
Yup felt I had tendonitis in both thighs..knees didn't hurt mid range to groin hurt..stress from walker..lifted handle bars up higher( drilled ) walk more upright..while watching u guys do ur info.i hung one leg over side of bed then other.then I hung both..I found sumthin interesting..hmm ..my right toe could touch the rug. when I tried my left toe ,couldn't.if I backed left foot up inch or two my left toe would touch rug ..hmm that's another fine mess u gotten me into Stanley ..😭 crying I'm sorry .. No now I remember knees did bother me..took gluclosamin..helped as did decades ago
Which massager are u using on the quadriceps tendon, in your video? Your $89.99 model? Or your $139.99 model? And, is your Amazon discount code good for all models? Btw...that discount code does NOT work. 😞
I just had a partial quadriceps tendon tear. Sucks. Thanks for the info.
In the same boat Jean. Just happened to me. May I ask how you recovered from it? Did you have surgery? I’m afraid my runnings days are over.
Thanks B & B, hello from Australia 🇦🇺 👏
Would this show up on an MRI?
It works like butter 😘 thank you guys
Hi,i have a swelling above my kneecap, and hurts when i try to bend my knee, tried ice to reduce swelling.I'm sketchy about doing exercises incase i make it worse, should i go ahead with exercise. This has been coming and going for few months now.Cheers,Andy
We can also use a tennis ball on the floor?
Thank you Bob & Brad! Are the treatments the same for quadricep “tendinosis?”
Yes.This video is for Quadriceps Tendinosis only.😊
*Note: "Tendonitis" means inflammation of tendon in acute condition (recent injury) And,
Tendinosis is the Cronic condition (which is from a long time. An injury in the tendon which is persisting and reuccring)
So in this video Bob and Brad is exactly addressing that issue😊
Thank you.
Do you guys have a video on how to tape Quadricep tendinopathy?
So only doing this massage will help or do i need to do more? I been doing strengthening exercises for it but that didnt help my pain at all i feel like..
I need help. I have pain in my lower thigh (front end) right above the knee. It feels like a lump or it’s swollen and it’s hurts if I push down too much on it. I used to put my elbows on my thighs when I’m eating using a TV dinner stand. I believe this is what caused it but I need to be sure.
Hi if you read my comment ,can please put a video quadriceps tendon strain
I have tendonitis in my back thighs and my physical therapist, who specializes in sports injuries of the lower body, said that tendons dont like massage and I need to increase the threshold at which my tendons start to hurt. I have tried taking breaks from running, massaging with foam roller, putting on cold with raised legs. Nothing has worked for me and I've had this pain for a year already.
So i feel inflamed in that area but in my case every time I extend and bend my leg, I get a clicking/snapping on that area. No sure what it is, definitely have a weak knee and every time I stand for a long time, I feel them very weak wanting to give out, what could the snapping be?
Suggestions for a torn vastus medialus?
Suffer for quite long time. I hope this helps🥺🙏🏻
Hi sir i need a explaination pls help me
My thigh muscle torn and dropped my upper side of the leg feels empty where the middle og my thigh is huge now I'm wondering what treatment can get
Can I do this massage movement with a sprained quad ? even if it is a bit swollen and sore
I still got a lump in my quad 5 years later lmao, find it hard to grow muscle on the leg and left leg without tear is noticably bigger.
I have 3 cm tear in my quads after a kickbox session. After 1 week i am doing well.
But you guys spotted exact same place that hurts.
Will try that massage. Many thanka
How'd your recovery go? I landed a knee more like quad on someone's elbow and have been struggling for a week now with pain.

I’ve had hip impingement surgery and hip avulsion fracture surgery back in 2021, I did some physical therapy but my rectus femoris still seems to be weak. I’ve tried laser therapy, cupping and scrapping but it only gives me a temporary relief. It hurts when I sprint and squat. Left leg feels 100% and my right leg feels 70%.

What is the difference in the 2 massagers. The T2 and the other?
Can a mid-front quad tear also have symptoms where there’s spasms combined with it feeling like blood is ‘gurgling’ through a straw in middle of quad ?
What would cause numbness in the inner left side of the knee and it's immediate surrounding leg muscle (vastus medialus muscle nearest the knee)? To exercise my hamstrings, I was doing some heavy Leg Curls (machine) in the gym and about a day after, in addition to the normal DOMS, I notice numbness in the inner part of my right knee, again, the side where the vastus medialus is. There is also some pain in the upper outer quad as well (quad femoris). The knee is also a little weak in supporting my body weight and the muscle also seems "rubber band'ish" as well as numb. Any comments or suggestions?
i have oshgood schlaters and a torn rectis femoris on both legs. do you need a person to give some insight that your knees crack more than bubble wrap? it is a constant pain in both legs. doctors werent much help. i had a tendon debridgement for my knee and that did little to help. c'est la vie.
im just curious? had mri done on right knee and it says small interstitial tears/ distal quad tendon. Nsaids and orphegesic made it go away for 2 weeks. and now had a follow up with my ortho and he explained to me all these. in short, it might be tendonitis. and that i 'll just be needing to take the prev meds for pain or do cold/ warm compress aftre activities. but it just sinked it to me does it mean that i'l have this for a life time?
I tore my quad tendon in 2 places had surgery 3 months ago its a long journey.
I'm still in pain after thee weeks. I seriously think I should make an appointment tomorrow for orthopedics
What about inside squad? When I first started lifting again. Nov 2023 I would feel it when I would walk or walk up a step. Just in my right quad. I thought maybe it was just weak from months of not lifting. It seem to be better. With minor pain nothing that stops me from squaring deep ass to grass, lunges, single leg exercises, basketball & etc. able to squat 315 currently. but fast forward today after not lifting for about 2 weeks. When I tried to squat today. Pain was bad & couldn’t really squat with just 25lbs on each side. Did some isometric holds on leg extension. For about 4 sets. The first two sets were painful. But then the last two it seemed to be a lot easier & I was able to hold that side up a lot longer.
I've been dealing with this since 2015 from a military and never knew what was going on. Getting a MRI to make sure. I'm 27 and its too the point that I can't extend my leg more than 5 times without it my leg quiting on me and getting extreme pain.
Happening to me right now and I can't stand it. Woke up in the morning and hasn't went away. Stressing now.
