Grace Juracka - Grace Juracka - What’s really amazing about the film is not only the performances and story (inspired by the real life trial of Leopold and Loeb) but the fact that it’s shot in a series of (I believe) 5-6 scenes/reels, each on shot in one long take, with no edits. It’s easy to take for granted when watching it, especially due to the filmmaking editing techniques that modern film audiences are used to seeing, but at the time if you flubbed a line at minute 14 of a 15 minute scene shot all in one take, you have to start over.
So far I’ve only found it available to rent on Amazon ($3.99), but worth it. I hope you get the chance to see it (Jimmy Stewart, as always, fantastic).

It's not technically to make it quieter. It's because it's more simple and people find the NY sirens "traumatic and scary" which if you ask me is utter bulls**t. I live in the UK, and have been to a few European cities, and I hate the sirens with a passion. The NY and UK ones trump any other siren

The sounds the siren made makes me think they took inspiration from the Ghostbusters Ecto-1.
People who doesn't know why the rumbling is because of deaf people so they can feel if they can't heard them.

I heard they want to change the livery to a generic blue and green mess with stars... I like the classic one better. The blue one was also very nice but fits older sedans better.

It’s just part of the ambient noise like crowds and squeaky brakes. You hear them at least once a minute
