VIDEO DETAILS:
Taking an inspirational image sent from one of your guys on Discord, check the links above to join the chat, we replicate this architectural masterpiece in archicad 24 in under 45 minutes.
The 45 minute tutorial is broken into sections which cover everything from modelling all the way through to rendering and colour correcting.
During the ArchiCAD section I teach you how to model the site plan; road, kerbing, landscaping, water and more. I then follow up the site design with basic building elements. This project has a number of different and unique ArchiCAD teaching moments, hence the selection. I break down how to create new wall types, how to create openings in the wall types and even the connection of PFC beams and timber cladding members. Overall the archicad section teaches the fundimental principals on ArchiCAD design and documentation.
Once the model is completed the ArchiCAD model is transfered to twinmotion 2021.1 where I very quickly run through everything you need to know to export a high quaity image without years of experience.
Finally that image is imported into adobe lightroom, and with the click of one button we transform it from boring to amazing! The last 15 minutes of this tutorial focus on the rendering process whilst the first 30 minutes are all about ArchiCAD!

Thank you for your tutorials! They’re are a godsend for Mac users
I use one everyday at work so if you need mac info vs Windows info just let me know!
@@DavidTomic thanks! Will do!
You're the man, thanks
Glad I could help mate
Recently graduated from Perth and moved to Sydney to start my career and have found a lot of people over here seem to be using ArchiCAD over Revit. These videos have been a great help for me to try and learn ArchiCAD!
That's really interesting! Most firms here in Perth are still revit. Glad I could help!
thank you
Great tutorial Video 👍
Thanks!
You deserve more subscribers!
Hopefully you subscribed and helped with the algorithm so that one day I do have more haha!
Great video, absolutely wonderful! A simple but efficient work procedure, gained a lot from u from this video. BTW if possible, can u do a video on engravings(not sure is this is the right word) and designs on walls and columns. Liked. Subscribed. Thanks
Edit - Working with profiles actually
Hey mate! Thanks for the kind words. I'll look into it for you!
These tutorials area amazing and real life-savers! I have a question though, I'm using an educational licenese for Archicad (Which according to their website is fully functional), and I noticed that I have way less materials and wall profiles than you do. Did you download those from somewhere or are they included by default and just restricted on the educational license?
Hey! It all comes down to the templates available by default to you and your country. Might also be restricted by educational licenses, I can't actually remember what my educational product looked like haha
Great
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am having trouble figuring out making the spotlight angle side way.. When I click the light it only gives me option to adjust light intensity.
NVM I figured it out! for people have the same problem as me: hollding the move tool icon and switch to rotate icon.
hey David, how does one go about creating a monument of a famous economist? Would like to see your thought process on the steps that should be taken. Also if possible, would like you to do a 3D model
I cant seem to find the link for the presets for the adobe lightroom and what version of Adobe lightroom are you using??
Am finding it difficult to move to the next step in getting the 6 meters . Mine is still two boxes whiles yours is 3 how please. Am stressed up
Great Tutorials !
In following this tutorial I got into a huge mess with the initial adding of the kerb, and then the subsequent additions and height adjustments of the pathways.
I have all sorts of rectangles overlaying other rectangles, and parts that appear to belong to other parts they should not. And I've NO IDEA how to CONFIDENTLY inspect for these problems, and then - most importantly - equally confidently, correct the wrong stuff.
One could start over at the beginning again, but that doesn't teach one how to FIX a mess.
You did touch on fixing stuff briefly with the overlaying grass, but it was all too brief. It would be very helpful to have a series of specific short tutorials that focus on how to fix the silly problems that beginners so easily get into.
Great insight. Will consider how to improve these tutorials!

You are a teaching STAR!
Your Archicad tutorials are my "first-to-go-to" on CZcams, because you are a natural teacher - you don't waffle about ... your tutorials are very well prepared ... and interesting ... and up-to-date ... you have a clear speaking voice ... you share your tips and insights in a constant flow as the video progresses ... and you correctly anticipate what learners would want to see answered in the process.
There are not many Archicad lecturers on CZcams that can tick all these boxes. In my opinion, you are in the same - and very rare - league as David Mann - another outstanding lecturer and teacher, and also from Australia, who has been a world of help to Archicad students.
We are truly blessed to have your contribution and enthusiasm for the subject. I hope Graphisoft appreciates you as much as we do!
Robert Mann (not David)
Love the videos, it would be interesting having a view of ur left hand on the keyboard to see the shortcuts
Thx for the excellent videos though
I do try and say all the shortcuts, use the way too often haha! I'll do my best to start incorporating visuals of the commands for you in future videos :)
Thank you for tutorial more than enough, please how can I get software program 2025 and how to do....
Thanks again
Unsure what 2025 program you are referring to? Archicad needs to be purchased directly through one of their sales reps you can check their website for info. Twinmotion is direct purchase through epic games.
👍🏻
can you please please make beginner tutorials on archicad?
I have a couple of the channel but will continue to make some for you :)
split screen please ... well done
thanks for the feedback!
