    Looking to design a 3D floor plan and not sure where to start? Today I walk you through an intermediate archicad and twinmotion tutorial that will make you a pro in no time!
    By knowing what you want to create you can focus on all the steps during the design process so that you do not have to go back and forward between archicad and twinmotion, wasting hours of your time.
    We focus on creating a floor plan from scratch, the materials and textures that are required in the design and then also the spaces throughout. Once we complete the archiCAD section of the tutorial, the twinmotion part becomes super easy! In under 10 minutes we take a boring archiCAD model and turn it into something amazing.
    Pair this tutorial with a basic lightroom colourgrade (avaliable on my website) and you have the best 3D floor plan out!

    Hi David, have used Chief Architect Premier?
    Interested to hear your opinion of it for use in AUS or NZ.
    Seems like it's set up for US mostly, but its hard for me to tell being a beginner.

    Hi David, Fantastically helpful and time saving advice, thanks. Do you have any advice on how to import specific pieces of furniture into TwinMotion? I have started with an ArchiCAD model, and the commissioning architect has given me a load of links to fabrics, lamps, pieces of furniture and lights that she would like incorporated into the model in place of the ArchiCAD ones she currently has placed in the model. Is this even possible? or do I need to find nearest similar items already in the TM database? Thanks.

      @@ychongong4680 iMac has upgradable memory for a reasonable price... get 8gb version and get some Samsung/Kingston aftermarket RAM. Just make sure not to mix it with OEM ram. It would lower down the speed otherwise. Or you actually refer to m1 iMac...

      @@wonabe thanks for sharing Wonabe. I was referring to latest IMac spec as my old laptop can no longer handle Archicad 25. 😬

    hi David , i just realized that whenever you change the setting while taking pictures on twinmotion , the setting effects are seen in all pictures taken instead of being effective on each seperately..i hope you get my question

    If you're asked to present a concept in designing an educational building keeping an architectural pedagogy program as your approach.
    What will be your concept?

    • @DavidTomic
      @DavidTomic  Před 2 lety +1

      Highly variable question, dependant on the brief. I'd review the local landscape, history of the area and find a connection to formulate the architecture narrative. Eg. Constant connection to nature, metadata on light, happiness and education results, etc.
