Swapp sounds bad for business. It will result in developers doing their own projects and cut out architects and other design professionals. I think we put to much hope and trust into AI.

The biggest advantage of Unreal over twinmotion is that if u can loose a weekend or 2 studying and programming your UE project blueprints and materials, u can make features that are no avaliable in you twinmotion… (example: ive made an awesome UV randomization thats not avaliable yet on Tw)

Which Mac do you use to get tm to work so flawlessly? I currently have the M1 24 inch and it does not work well with tm at all. I'm thinking of getting the M3 or a Mac Studio

I feel so duped.!!! I was sold a perpetual license thinking a scored before having to go to subscription. Now Im told I will have to go to subscription next year and Ive just been sent a 2500k bill for service select agreement. I paid 14800k a year ago. Hi, David. Thanks for the comparison! I am an architecture student and I was looking for a good visualizer for a beautiful presentation. I looked at all the visualizers and stopped at these two. Unfortunately, path tracing does not work on macs, which is very sad. If this function worked, I think twinmotion would be the winner. I've looked at all the visualizers and only Twinmotion and Enscape are native on macs. For example, 5D render is also not bad, but you need to download Windows and for sure there are also limitations in ray tracing. Tell me, do you use the official version of Enscape for mac or have you downloaded the hacked version?

It seems all of the windows version renderings are missing ambient occlusion. It looks softer and more realistic on the Mac renders.

Can we use D5 render with crossovwr on mac?

At this point, any 2018-2020 laptop with high specs would do just fine.

If they would make it like my Autocad Lt License and my Adobe License for all the software that's cost me 60€/month with a year of subscription. It costs less to pay that value per month even it is an anula subscription (dont pay it total once) and believe it or not I know some that used AUTOCAD and PS the way you know, but since its affordable they prefere for sure pay a license. If um multiply that in volume would make a lot really of money for Graphisoft.

Hi David, thanks for the tutorial. I have used Maya before, but not Twinmotion. Issues at 1.28 approx. with lighting. a) switching the object for the light from local to world view doesn't seem to work very well, also applying the light source to the object, creates light in the room, but doesn't seem to be applied to the material itself, and always appears well in front of the object selected, what have i missed - thanks.

D5 and Lumion has parallax even TM new features is arleady in D5 & Lumion, so TM is far beyond advance so much lacking, what i like its free😅

Awesome video... Although TM 2024 is super cool...the platform still has alot to achieve and fix and the technology is already there....

I agree with free thing and the field of view thing But for Measurement tool is not a issue for me, You can just check scale of object to see height, this measuring tool is to show the heights in presentation, not to check meausrements, TM rendering software is not CAD so its not like sketchup to measure by start and endpoints of verts.Twinmotion dont have mesh view so it would be hard to have that tool

Totally agree with all of your gripes. I would add that they need to add smart grass that you can apply like a material, improve VR quality(seems it gets worse with each new version), camera position importer, more render layers, 5 is quite small. Don’t get me wrong I love Twinmotion, especially since it is free, I just struggle knowing that these features are in other software and makes life so much easier. I too payed for Twinmotion this last year and was surprised to see it go completely free. The only feature that it doesn’t have as a free version that is quite useful for sending projects to clients is the cloud upload and viewing feature. Do you use Twinmotion for VR? Have you had success or are you disappointed by it like me?
