And what was the answer she wanted? What she was pushing for was the Ambassador to clearly condemn Putins invasion and war crimes against innocent Ukrainians. Why was he being evasive about that? He says, "Hey, Xi told Putin to use diplomacy and negotiate for peace. And that's what Putin did. His emissaries sat down at the bargaining table four times since this began!" But he doesn't say that Putin was just going through the motions, does he? That Putin has no intention of negotiating for peace. He doesn't say that China and Russia have partnered up with big plans for the future as the "dynamic duo." Yet there is evidence that they have done exactly that and that China will NOT support Ukraine with anything but goody bags of basic supplies and bandages. The Respected Chinese Ambassador shown a great restraint during this conversation. His behavior during this interview is so fascinated and he never utter any ruthless words about any country or any people. But the reporter repeatedly disrupt and obstruct the Chinese dignitary to get the desired answer as per her intensions. She may have lot of sympathy towards Ukraine. But the fact is that the whole world wont think in a same way. She must understood this fact. If a train hits a bus, every body feel sorry about the fate of the people in the Bus. But, the fact is that the bus driver should not take the risk of stopping the bus on the Railway track knowing the train may come at some point. The ambassador clearly explaining their position about having the longest common border, strong long time Economic relations and also expressing that they don't encourage war. She kept interrupting the ambassador and was impatient to even hear him out for one sentence. The expression and body language she exhibited were plain arrogant, condescending and unprofessional. The show failed to deliver on its basic mission - be informative, objective and constructive. The Russia Ukraine crisis is a complex issue and it’s just naive to expect the whole world to believe and follow the one sided narrative of America and NATO. If the US truly wants China to play a role to stop the war, then please respect their positions and interests and let’s use diplomacy to solve the crisis instead of using aggressive language “join us in condemnation and sanctions, or you’ll be condemned and sanctioned!” I’m sorry, the world just doesn’t work that way, dear lady. There are many more countries representing 56% wolrd population that didn’t vote with the US and NATO allies. The US has launched economic war upon China for years and I don’t see China back down yet, so probably not working again this time when the US needs their help to stop the war and the economic crisis that’s happening in the world caused by the sanctions. If the interviewer is not interested in hearing what the ambassador has to say, just give him a multiple choice questionnaire to fill out and just post the result. Why even bother having an interview?
On the topic of whether to condemn Russia, assume China has the leverage to force Russia to pull out, how's that different from bullying? That's all US knows how to do things: condemnation and invasion. You're either with me or against me, my way or the highway.

I know the US is far from perfect, but in this case the only comparison that can be made here is if the US invaded Canada then made threats to many nations to use our nuclear weapons if they interfered. Yes, Margaret Brennan was rude, for she was just following the ways of the United States as a nation, in which at Daniel 7 in the Bible, it describes the United States as being derived from "a small horn" (that grew into a big "horn", see Dan 7:20) that was among the "ten horns" resulting from the dissolution of the Roman Empire (Dan 7:7), saying: "While I considered the horns (or political nations that grew out of Rome's collapse in 476 C.E.), look ! another horn, a small one (that became the United Kingdom, as a small and distant land that Rome had colonized in 44 C.E., but left in 410 C.E.), came up among them, and three of the first horns (Spain, France and the Netherlands) were plucked up from before it. And look ! there were eyes like human eyes in this horn (that became the United States, as Britain's "child"), and there was a mouth speaking arrogantly."(Dan 7:8)
This arrogance that is so pronounced in the United States, will soon be gone, and so will the rest of the political system that has brought nothing but pain and misery to mankind.
At Daniel 2, it says: "In the days of those kings (or when "the feet and toes of iron mixed with clay" is ruling [see Dan 2:33], the Anglo/American world power, with the United States taking center stage on the world scene) the God of heaven will set up a kingdom (or heavenly government, called God's Kingdom, see Matt 6:10) that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will CRUSH and put an end to all these kingdoms (the entire political system), and it alone will stand forever, just as you saw that out of the mountain (or God's universal sovereignty) a stone (God's Kingdom) was cut not by hands (or through politics), and that it crushed the iron, the copper, the clay, the silver, and the gold (or the last five world powers that held sway over God's people, as represented by the metals and clay). The Grand God (whose name is Jehovah, see Isa 12:2, KJV) has made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its interpretation is trustworthy.”(Dan 2:44, 45)

@@zackk7175 Taiwan LOST their civil war and thus they only have the right to govern a tiny island. It‘s even crazy to think that they didn‘t finish the war back then and continue for the status quo for decades. Taiwan might have the right for independence however if you look at the legal recognition around the world, BARELY any country officially recognized them as a nation. Legally they are only part of China with autonomy, plain and simple. Unless somehow they could undermine CCP‘s influence over the world, it seems unlikely they would gain independence.
Heck u such a simpleton. Even there was a poll did by the taiwanese to see if they want independence, more than half of them want to continue the status quo to preserve peace. You can talk for yourself about Taiwan mate, but you are not even taiwanese lol

The way she cut him off, especially when he’s answering the last question, and the face she made was totally rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, disgraceful. Despite this treatment, the ambassador still finished with a “Thank you for having me.”

The fact the Chinese ambassador continues to engage politely shows incredible control and professionalism.
Can't say the same for that woman who appears to come from a third world country or is ignorant of many things, such as the idea of civility.

Is was never the plan to let the ambassador speak freely. More like interrogation than a honest interview. Such is a sad stage of current US media. I never voted for Trump but now I understand why Trump called these so called media FAKE news. Never objective, just game plan and attack at ever chance they get.

She is extremely rude, probably hormones. I'm happy he called her naive on the condemnation issue. When I heard that all the other countries condemn Russia because of the military operation in Ukraine, my first question was, "what's the point of that?" ... I guess the Chinese ambassador feels the same way

America should be ashamed of Margaret Brennan. Although the interview is a pretty good indication of the foreign politics the two countries are running. China tries to be wise and constructive, the US succeeds in being arrogant and stupid.
So I fully agree with the comment below, "she represented her country extremely well"
