  • At a time when we didn't think Star Wars could get any worse. Tales of the Empire raises its boring head. We started out a bit keen for the series but haven't felt this let down since The Rise of Skywalker.
    Morgan was a terrible idea.

Should've focused exclusively on Barriss. Showing her time as an Inquisitor, perhaps being trained/abused by Vader as payback for what she did to Ahsoka, Barriss meeting Ahsoka and them eventually reconciling and if she's gonna have a final battle, have it be against Vader someone she has a connection with, instead of a rando inquistor whose name we didn't even know until this point.

I was sooo disappointed they didn't play up her relationship with Vader or the fact people didn't know it was Anakin. Not that she was in prison for long but he was the one that put her there

I just thought it was wild that Elsbeth killed an ambassador for the new republic knowing full well that she could have just caused the full might of the what’s left from the rebellion to land on her planet to take her out

I actually enjoyed Tales of the Empire, especially Barriss story. It was just way too short. Maybe they could have explained why she fell to the dark side in the first place, not everyone reads the books. How Palpatine searched for vulnerable Jedis and manipulated them. In the Jedi Temple, of all places, how she felt the dark side in their safe space. The high and mighty Jedi to blinded to see.
Also, a bit more time on her journey as Inquisitor, did she meet Ahsoka again?
Is she the old friend? Barriss works, probably with the hidden path. It was nice to see an actual brutal Inquisitor, not these goofy a$$ jokes in Rebels. Also, good to see Barriss not only as Jedi, many seem not to know that she was also able to force heal.
I still have so many questions!

Lyn was a goofy ass inquisitor with a temper tantrum. She could only bully civilians but got her ass kicked by a random Jedi and Barriss. This is my opinion but Barriss story was weak. Last time we saw her she had bombed the Jedi temple, betrayed her friend, killed innocent people and was proud of using red lightsabers. But then in tales of the empire she acts like an angel who could do no wrong. It felt like the writers chickened out from giving us a lead character who was a bad guy.

Everything was good up until the 5th episode ending and the 6th episode in the entirety. I wanted Vader to Impale her thru the chest as another part to completing his fall but was disappointed when it was Lyn in the last episode instead.

I watched the first episode of andor when it came out and haven’t watched star wars since. The series sucks now. I’d rather give up on Star Wars and just remember it for the nostalgia of the first 6 movies and clone wars, which is what I did.

I watched in the hype of Star Wars Day. If I had to pick a story I liked more it was Baris' only because somehting happened and even then it was very quick and after a ginat monlogue that was no not needed. I just think this series was not needed. I'd be keen to see more jedi stuff in the future though, only if it's necassary and not just fan service or a cash grab

Empire and CIS are technically 2 opposite factions... 7:30
The CIS destroyed her planet. The Republic fought against the CIS.
    The Republic became the Empire.
WE know they were all lead by Palpatine but 99.999% of the people living in this universe don't.
It makes sense for someone living in this universe to join the Empire if they have a grudge against the CIS.
Can't expect the caracters in universe to have the knowledge we have as a spectator. Ir's called ''dramatic irony''.

THANK YOU! This channel joined the numerous Star Wars content creators who entirely missed the point of Tales of the Empire. The show was great, if you thought it was boring you probably didn't understand the themes.

@@cyclogenesis3179 Well to be fair, I was personnaly not super enthusiast with TotE. I didn't hate it, but I don't think I'll feel a need to watch it again.
That being said, when people say things that don't make sense at all and seemingly just join the ''complain about Star Wars'' chill bandwagon because it's a popular and profitable opinion ($$), I gotta call it out.
It's ok to dislike something, but at least show that you understand it. Right? So many ''creators'' these days just get a quick paycheck screaming ''Disney Bad'' and a considerable amount of them don't even know anything about Star Wars. This is the first and last video I will watch from this channel.

i dont think it feels like too many jedi turned. we see again and again that the younglins no older than 12 were used as officers in a war for much of their more formative years. its really no surprise that many of them turned. imagine being told "the jedi are all about peace" for 10 years and then be put in charge of slave soldiers for the next 5

Your analysis is shortsighted and you demonstrate a lack of media literacy/understanding of dramatic irony. Tales of the Empire set out to answer a few questions in-universe, but it told a much more important story than one self-contained within the characters we already know. It's disappointing to hear how little thought you put into your viewing of the new show, and I'm ashamed that you're a part of the community.
