- Are you aware that we are in the midst of a battle today? A battle which rages all around us and yet many of us remain unaware of it. It's a battle between the forces of good and evil; Heaven and Hell.
Today, Jackie Angel lays out the threefold tactics employed by the devil and his minions to tempt us and cause us to concede to his attacks and what we can do to acknowledge and win those battles with the grace of God.

I swear, I feel like Ascension Presents hears my prayers to God. Not to long ago, like yesterday, I prayed about asking God to reveal to me the tactics of the devil so that I can fight against it and today you posted this video!

@Tarziu Armando-Liviu Thank you very much for your response. In our Church, we prefer to rely on Tradition rather than Scripture alone. There are really good reasons to do this if you look at the history of heresies. Thank you for your care for my soul and God be with you, brother😊
It is interesting how someone like me with a bad anxiety disorder can feel deeply humiliated by pain. But thankfully, I've had practice in the good times of turning to prayer, so my pain, which I sometimes think is Satan trying to make me despair, actually reminds me of my powerlessness and reliance in God. Just an example of letting suffering draw you close to the cross, not away ❤️
Thank you for this comment! I struggle with OCD and recently had a thought come into my mind- Jesus on the cross telling me “I struggle too.” You are not alone! Jesus brings us closer to him in these times and with this challenges. God bless you! ❤️

Thanks for the video. As a Catholic in recovery I can relate to the AA themes - powerlessness and unmanageability. Most people lack the humility that is necessary in order to trust/depend upon God to help them overcome trials and temptations. This is especially true of addicts and alcoholics, who barely trust anyone. Until they're moved into a position of powerlessness they can't overcome the denial of addiction and receive the grace to become sober again. On the plus side, if you're truly at rock bottom then the only way is up!

You said it! Most people definitely lack the humility to ask for help. Whether it's from friends or family, let alone God. They think they can do everything themselves, but God is our strength and He wants us to lean on Him!
Praise God you mention AA, as of this moment, I have been clean and Sober 33 years 8 months. I served 15 years in a Texas prison for murder. Today I serve my Lord. I am a faithful Catholic, yet I need prayer, I am tempted to commit to adultery everyday at work. Yet I know God's word and the Blood of Christ will give me victory .

After a terrible day, this was the pep talk I needed to hear since I needed someone to pick me up from a lowly place. The devil can try to wreck havoc in our lives but faith in God keeps us strong to fight the good fight.

Wow! I just ordered a book on the Devout Life and it will be my Advent reading for the preparation of Jesus. Everyone i encourage you select a devotion during this little lent. Maybe its to kneel and pray near your bed side every morning in 1 minute prayer thanking Jesus, or a consecration to Our Lady or invite a non Catholic to mass or adoration on Saturday and go have a glass of wine afeterwards...just anything that pulls you closer to Christ. The Advent season prepares us for the celebration of the coming of Christ. Prepare and be humble in doing so. The devil hates that. And build from that. God bless you in what God wills for you.

It’s important to take care of yourself, though! If you’re so focused on dread that you forget to hope, like I did last semester, taking care of yourself is not "selfish," it's loving yourself. Yes, you should love God, family, others, and yourself in that order, but that last one is still SO important. It can be easy to forget that when trying to be a selfless Catholic.
I totally feel ya here! You have to have God fill your cup before trying to fill the cups of others. I’ve been praying a lot for hope and God has worked wonders for me. God bless you!
I deal with an aging female narcissist on a regular basis. I have listened to hundreds of video’s on narcissism. Some have a degree of enlightenment, and some are just plain attention getting hyperbole. This is the first video that has addressed the core reasons for narcissist-sin and/or as Ms Jackie points out, for any sin. I’m a Christian of 50 years. I should have known better, as a redeemed sinner, who must ask for forgiveness every day. I know that prayer is for sure the Very First Step in anyone’s sin. Great video, Ms Jackie!

I appreciate the video because I am guilty of enticement of the eyes, especially with all the discounted sales during Labor Day weekend. It's like God answered my question. My dad & only sibling passed within less than a year from each other. It's only my 88 yr old mother & I left. My sibling nor I ever had children. So, I take care of the farm by myself. I had spinal surgery which resulted in flatling, coma & strokes (years before the men in our small family passed). People all around the world prayed for me. When I awoke (The surgeon & staff were dumbfounded, i was not to survive & if I did, I was supposed to be a vegetable). This week, I was so incredibly tired, missing my dad & brother (everything kept going wrong & getting worse) . I kept hearing thoughts in my head of, "you see... God isn't real or care about you". I started screaming & crying.
Then, I called on our wonderful and beautiful Bleseed Mother! Told her to please wrap & engulf me with her mantle... to send upon me the Holy Spirit to bring me his peace, send St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Rafael, St. Joseph & the legion of Angels & Saints that do battle with the devil & his minions to send him back to where he belongs. Within seconds everything got calm and I felt so much love & peace. I will NEVER denounce My Blessed Trinity! 💕 No matter how hard life gets. I can have nothing in this world... Though I will always have My Blessed Trinity! ❤️✝️🕊

Tbh, as a “creative person”, I find it hilarious that the devil is so uncreative that he uses back in the biblical times. The creativity and unformulaic nature of the father is what draws me near to him.

@@wms72 he can’t change. he had his chance to choose God but chose himself. he can’t go back on it now and he knows it.
Is it really that uncreative though? I would say not, considering he still CAN use those tactics after so long. Think of how many things humans come up with that become obsolete after mere decades or even less. As long as the strategies are still effective and he has the ability to use them in different ways regardless of culture, I don't see why he would want to change them. It's like the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." 🤷♀️ Which is why we all still need to be on guard at all times.

Yes it is true today as in the past. However he does change tactics.
Speaking of a camel going through the eye of a needle, I made such a remark when I was thinking about giving birth. A woman only dilates about 10 cm in order for a 7-9 lbs baby to be delivered through a narrow birth canal. So much pain and suffering that goes into labor, I have to be very much in love in order to be willing to go through the struggle.
The devil keeps us distracted thats so true, I actually get distracted so easily. Its insane. I thought a-lot about it! Honestly

I admit that I have a lot of false humility. I'm down on myself for not having the friends that I used to while I was in college and shortly thereafter. Twenty years later, I thought I made a lot of friends again and I reconnected with a lot of family, only to find out that they don't have the same respect for me that I have for them. I think a lot of it has to do with politics and religion, but mainly politics because I don't favor just one side.

I am thinking it is how we use the wealth that God gives us that is the test. For instance, the three kings gave Jesus Christ gold and very expensive frankincense and myrrh. I do not think that Saint Joseph said, "Oh no, we can't take that."
Also, I've been around plenty of economically challenged people who did not "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
It is likely that the gifts sustained them through their time in Egypt.
The “economically challenged” who don’t do unto others is also suffering from spiritual poverty, and spiritual poverty is far worse than the physical. It doesn’t care about rich or poor. We have a great battle on our hands in the United States if Mother Teresa was right about a great spiritual poverty in the country.
Jesus I trust in you yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever, Amen.
