It's messed up, but honestly video games weren't really a "girl thing" quiet yet and it was mainly males playing video games. But as a woman that grew up playing video games and A LOT of Sims, I'm glad this game exists. You'd think it would be a boring game that you would lose interest in quickly, but I enjoy rotting away playing Sims.
As a woman who’s been playing sims since 2016 I am thankful to creator and the women of EA (even tho lately it turned into a buggy scam) I am thankful. They made my childhood. Sims was a dollhouse a little girl like me would love. I never had Barbie’s but I had the Pancakes. Lol
I’ve been playing longer than you . Being born year 1995 4 years old my mom had a mini sims 1 on her phone the first one , I played it then sims life stories started when I was 6 and a half years old , until sims 2 started as well, then got older sims 3 when a doofus wanted and bought the rights to sims which it’s suspicious , then we all got sim 4 and possible sims 5 very suspicious. The new owners is hiding something and was trying to ruin the sims and get haters and not sure what he’s doing after he bought the rights very quickly just like it’s suspicious a random woman which I did not know there are mods until later in sims 3 and soon for sims 4 created that creapy virus cc mod doll for kids for sims 3 . That lady was very suspicious and I don’t know any of you knew she might be suspicious and you all never looked into this not even police , something not right. I’m also never complain about the game even with the bugs or new kits I didn’t care I was happy and greatful unlike other stupid summer be dumb complaining and sueing them over nonsense and hating and getting others to join in this new generation now and its ridiculous. Bad people become bad behavior sence 2015 -2024 possible 2025 and think they know everyone and everything even art and games and how to behave . lilsimsie mods are nasty they are nasty To me that’s born disabled and gone through things a lot for 29 years more than lilsimsie when I know the mods she has like on twitch are just random strangers that also be possible they might be biased , ignorant ,racist , immature , and arrogant to brown people and disabled people that’s born differently me born with microcephaly struggle academically when I’ve experience bullies like her mods all my like like I like I did not belong not even talk my whole life. The whole of the simmers are beyond nasty and rude and toxic and ignorant. I’m so glad I’m not like any of those people and still I’m always greatful . People need to learn to grow up and lilsimsie and her mods that’s nasty say they care about disabled people and there struggles and go through even help disabled cancer people . Pretty sad .
The only Barbie house I had for some of my Barbie’s and my sences and bratz is Barbie airplane and Barbie pink horse and Barbie original hotel and Barbie’s friend midge and her happy family but not the happy family home .

Actually The Sims was supposed to be a architecture simulator, but they observed that people that were testing it were more interested in the people, rather than building.
TBF TS1 with all of its expansions has less objects than either sequel's base game... Also, you can only build two stories, only rely on autoroof, and there's no foundations...

But it does lack the eccentricity the Sims 1 had and the amazing storytelling and authenticity the Sims 2 had. I believe the franchise was at its peak with the Sims 3
executives said woman wouldn't want bagless vacuums. They also designed houses with laundry as far away from the clothes as possible. -- if you don't want to haul your dirty clothes throughout the ENTIRE house: men execs don't think you're doing it right.
My big masculine straight father tells and reminds me and others all the time how he used to play the first sims games all the time when it came out and he was still gaming a lot. People who do this weird separation of genders in the gaming community doesn't know how vast the gaming community is. boys have and still do react positively to the game, its so weird he made it sound like it's just a girl game like everyone on the face of the planet likes to make it out to be. Sad that guys who like the game could now feel left out or possibly even judged just by playing a game

I wanted to play a game like the sims since SimAnt when I was a little girl playing on our Apple Macintosh color. I was always wondering what it would be like to play the man in the house. I was very young at the time and when I heard about the sims being made by the time I was in high school I was so happy. I’ve played every main game since.
