I gotta say this movie was really good! So many people had different expectations. First off jLo as ramona pole dancing is iconic!!!! Iconic best scene, and she nailed that role.
Makes me think back when halle won, i saw monsters ball and didnt think much of it but halle still won.

Lopez is one of the producers of this film. Wu isn't. It's not a snub.
@@dhgemein2 The producers aren't the only ones who come to these things. Cast and crew members are welcome too. If they don't come, it's more likely due to a scheduling issue. Keep in mind that they attend the screening of the movie and then stay for this Q&A, which is heavily edited into a short video. Therefore, the guests have to spend around 3 hours.
I hope that Jennifer gets an Oscar award for this movie she deserves it she worked so hard on the film she killed the role she better get something For this or else it would be an insult for her talent as an actress .
She was dazzling. You could never take your eyes of her.
I could tell in her BTS video that she was nervous around all those men wearing that outfit and having to perform like kind of dance, and you saw how the male extras were looking at her as she left the stage after shooting had finished. Probably one of if not the most vulnerable moments of her entire career. But she delivered, tenfold, and for that, she deserves the Oscar.

Jlo can and should garner a nomination for Best actress...she was one of two leading characters.Not once she faded into the background.The timing is right for the first latina to win that category.Halle Berry was the underdog when she won..ppl said it was a supporting role and SHE MADE HISTORY beating A list actresses.
Best actress is tough category. She has a good chance in supporting category. And yes she is not the main leading actress in this movie. So this is not category fraud. Many actress did "fraud" by being supporting instead of leading to avoid competition. Yes, I am talking to you, Viola 🤣🤣

Sadly, no. They did one for "Suspiria" last year and its omission in Makeup and Original Song is still offensive. But this will more than likely be nominated for Supporting Actress for Lopez and Adapted Screenplay.

I hear you. She did a good job but this is not a movie or interpretation deserving a recognition like an Oscar. Let's be honest, she is not at that level and this character is not Oscar material. She works hard, she does...but no way an Oscar. Charlize Theron's, Nice Kidman's, Viola Davis's, Meryl Street's etc. roles and interpretations deserved an Oscar but they are another level..in terms of work/portrayal of a character. Nothing against JLo but Hustlers is not a movie on that level. I suppose these comments praising her are very young people or those who idolise her and are not enough objective. I think this Oscar buzz was a great move of her PR entourage; she's smart.

The studio decides what category they should vouched for and they have yet to mention it....her and costance played lead roles.She can be nom either Best actress or Supporting.Many actors who you think were supporting have actually been nominated for Best Actor and Won.Halle role was more as supporting but she got it for Best Actress beating out A list.
I don't think she'll give her Oscar for this movie. There are many more interesting and good female roles. Although undressing Mrs. Lopez works best.

What? She´s probably one of the few artists in Hollywood who actually does embrace aging naturally, you can see those signs of aging because she didn´t run to have surgeries done

Agree, the movie, the story and character are not Oscar worthy. Good movie and interpretation but not on top level. Joaquin Phoenix interpretation deserves the Oscar...this is quality.
