    Pugh deserves a nomination for Actress too for her role in "Midsommar"

      that was an incredibly personal and bloody beautiful film to me, all because i had no idea who Florence Pugh was, or many of the other cast for that matter, and it felt like I was watching myself and my friends live in a real nightmare. so well done, i hope Ari Aster picks up something this year for Midsommar too

      "Midsommar", "Little Women" and "Fighting with my Family". Pugh had one hell of a year in 2019

    • @AngelofMusic04
      @AngelofMusic04 Před 4 lety +9

      Adapted Screenplay is a given but Director is up in the air, and that's without taking into consideration that Sony also has "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood" to promote and Tarantino is an easier sell awards wise than Gerwig.

      @@AngelofMusic04 How is Tarantino an "easier sell" when Gerwig _just_ came off her first film and was nominated for Picture _and_ Director two years ago?? She's in with the club now and it's 95% going to happen, WIll. Count on it.

    They didn’t give Oscar to Gerwig for Lady Bird, and they might ignore her this time too. This is why Gerwig made Little Women. She said in another interview that this movie is very personal to her. We women still have a long way to go.

      The issue is critics and those who nominate the actors DONT want to see certain films due to race and gender therefore those who deserve nominations aren’t nominated. Inclusion is VERY important if not it would only be the same white men nominated every single damn year
