I boondock a lot. IMO, camping next to a bunch of other campers is like living in a city next to your neighbors...... When I camp, I like the privacy and I want to relax... So I usually go in the woods etc. Last camping trip I went, I had two acres of land for my self.
I paid $180 for the battery and $300 for the inverter. Thats $480 that I am willing to invest. I went boondocking for 3 days las weekend. The battery with the inverter gave me enough power to run the entire camper for 4 hours. That's 4 hours I did not have to use my ganerator. Then when I turned on the generator, it took about 2 hr hours to fully charge the battery for another 4 hours of quietness. I'm buying another battery this week for even longer boondocking times.
During the day time, if sunny I can use my solar panels and it will change they battery while I run the AC at the same time and it runs all day on the battery. I already tested this at home and lasted an entire day with 0 percent cloud coverage. The regular deep cycle battery is good for small appliances etc. However, my Lifep04 battery lasted me 5 days using my fridge, lights and the porch light on the entire time during a test I did in my house. The regular 12V deep cycle lasted 1 1/2 day to get to 50 percent so I had to turn it off to avoid damage.
Yes, it's well worth the money in my opinion and for my needs. I have kids, and I like to be prepared. When I go camping away from home, per each day I'm boondocking, I add one extra day of gas and supplies. So 3 days booncoming means 6 days of supply/gas etc.
A 200W panel will keep a battery above 50 only if you have a sunny day and you are using on 12V appliances.... However, you WILL NOT be able to use your AC with an inverter, which is what I use my LifeP04 for.
If people can afford it, I recommend the Lithium Battery specially the LifeP04.
    It's just me. I am a preper.

Well I hope this helps someone, you should stay away from this panel. I own one myself and they DO NOT produce anywhere near what is claimed. Assume 50% less than claimed and that would be in ideal conditions. In real world average you will be lucky to get 7 amps at 13.1v which is about 100-120watts. Furthermore some others have shown what will happen to the panels if left out too long, they become useless in less than a year. The charge controller is cheap. For a pinch you can use them, but long term save your money and get a real panel or at least the hard ones from a named brand. Not knocking anyone who got these including the poster, I too bought one of these a couple years ago.
