Assassin's Creed Unity splash screen fix

This is a potential fix I found for the splash screen acu fix, YOU NEED ATLEAST 6GB of space on your main boot drive. Follow the steps as below.
Download the link shell extension from here to be able to get pick link source: schinagl.priv.a...
1. Copy the pck files from the original place where you installed your game to your main boot drive
2. delete the pck files in the original place you installed your Assassin creed's Unity
3. On the newly copied pck files in your main boot drive, select pick link source and go back to the original place where you installed your Assassin creed unity and select drop symbolic link
4. Profit

Maybe you can have a look at your control panel “add or remove programs” and find is there such program
I installed the shell extension but I don't see the "Pick link source" option in the right-click menu once I copy the sound files to a different folder :(
Did you install the correct one? Based on your OS
@@alpacatheboss sorry, you were right, I installed the right one and I could do the "pick link source" and "drop symbolic link", but the problem remained... I still get stuck as the splash screen.. anything else I missed? btw I'm using steam

I went through so many articles and videos trying to find a solution and this was the perfect video all along. I rolled everything I changed before watching this back to normal and this worked wonders, no idea how google didn't want to suggest this. Thanks for the easy fix (Had to look up what links and stuff are because windows 10 doesn't have this option by default if I right click on a file but "Link Shell Extension" did the job)

Just put the files in your main boot drive, doesnt matter if its a hdd or ssd, just main boot drive
Then drop the symbolic link in wherever you installed your assassins creed
ThinkableGaming also the pck files only and do i have to restart after all those pck files after i copy to my game folder
do i disable also defender firewall internet and antivirus and etc.
No need to do any of that
