    Maybe consider turning your axe blade down when it’s strapped to your atv? Or get a sheath for it? Be terrible if you had an accident and fell on that blade. Be safe out there!🙏

    Cords ok, I use peices of CAMO NET. Not so much bouncy gear. Trailer to small, could FLIP OVER, get one when able with LARGER TIRES to match ATV. ALSO EXPECT TO WIND UP WALKING, (ATVs are very LOUD) P.S. I'M 65, been at this since early 1980's. Good Luck 👍

    Thankfully you did address it towards the end of the video - but I was thinking to myself the whole time "There's no way that 44oz bottle is the only water he took with him, there's no way" Living in a desert environment, I literally plan all of my bugout gear around the idea that I'm going to be carrying a minimum of 6L (~1.8 Gal or 12lbs) of water.

    • @owenhall4028
      @owenhall4028 Před rokem

      During the peak summer months I may opt to carry up to twice that weight in water and forgo things that are less essential in hot weather such as a sleeping bag and cold weather clothing

    An idea I was thinking while watching your video is since you have a set bug or location, you should add a tree stand in your spot. Not only for hunting but really for scouting. You here something ahead you could have a better view of what’s coming. An “Eagles nest”. Loved the video and set up though.

    • @idahoprepper
      @idahoprepper  Před rokem

      That’s a great idea, I’ve definitely thought about putting a tree stand out there for hunting, but not as part of my bugout strategy… good thinking!! Glad you enjoyed the video and Thanks for watching!

    !!! In an actual scenario its best practice to not almost put out your newly made fire with the water you are trying to boil, rather add the water away from the fire, then move the pot to flame. (If I had just spent hours to make a fire to boil water and did this...I'd prolly just off myself then and there)

    • @idahoprepper
      @idahoprepper  Před rokem

      Thanks for watching, there is very little bear activity in the area I’m in.. besides, black bears don’t really pose much of a threat so I’m not worried.. as far as carrying that gear on foot, I could actually carry more than half of it, however the video wasn’t about packing gear around on foot, it was about staying the night at a Bugout location and doing maintenance.. thanks again for watching!

    Dear Sir, as a veteran (Royal Danish Army) im screaming and yelling at the screen when i saw your weapon standing up against the tree...
    You cannot give me a good reason for why your weapon is standing up against anything, no weapon, in any situation should be standing up against anything.
    I do not know the weapon in detail, so i cant see if the safety is on, sorry, but when i see someone standing their weapon like that, i go back to square one of weapons handling and safety with them.
    You should really be focusing on weapons handling and safety, especially when you are out alone.
    Othervise a good video with some nice information.

    • @idahoprepper
      @idahoprepper  Před rokem

      first of all, you should never scream and yell at a screen.. secondly, its a youtube video, not real life.. so video production, visualization and sensationalism are going to sometimes override pacticality for entertainment purposes.. just out of curiosity though.. where should the weapon of been placed in your opinion?? and just so you know the weapon wasnt loaded.. Anyways, Im glad you enjoyed the video!

    • @bmbpdk
      @bmbpdk Před rokem +1

      @@idahoprepper Weapons handling and safety is always real, no matter the situation; be that a youtube video, on the range, at home in a safe, weapons handling and safety is always real.
      The weapon should preferably be either on your person or secondly lay on your rucksack, sleepingbag, a jacket etc., something soft that prevents dirt getting into it easily.

    • @gheka35
