Guard counters aren’t all they are made out to be. Their are a lot of enemies it will get you hurt on. So be careful and know your enemies move set before trying this. Some enemies with multi attack can hit you before your Gaurd counter hits them
@@nuil75 on slower more predictable bosses they do. But get some jacked up anime girl with an std that screwed over an entire 4th of the continent and you are better off dodging then trying to get the Counter
@@Zydra_Zy oh yeah. If you get a shield that can hold up to it and enough stamina to pull it off. I’ve done it before and with 30 Stam didn’t have enough to roll away when the enemy attacked again. Situational but useful. Usually better to just distance and dodge

they work great if you use them after a last attack in a chan from an enemy, 90% of the time, or sometimes earlier if their followup is very slow

If the damage negation it less than 100% you will get chip damage for the difference. And you can guard counter with R1
