I gotta be a contrarian again. NASA still runs Pentiums. They can handle millions of data points per second not because of amazing hardware, but very well-designed and specialized software designed by underappreciated and underpaid geniuses.
Maybe somethings wrong with your deck but I capped my fps at 40, without cap I get about 50-60 fps. Never dips below 40.
Definitely does dip on shadow of erdtree.
Watching this to help with my garbage aim on the ps5 beta. I’m so used to moving and shooting because of Apex and CoD, I need to stop the muscle memory lol 😅
Beat the game twice and had no idea what it was. Except for the talisman that aids in guard counters.
Thx you so much i could’t find it and spent almost two hours looking for it
Minecraft
can you chop up the cubeGrid mesh into smaller pieces (static meshes)?
Get a better external battery. Like a Anker 737.
I am a PC player tf is L3
Crouch!
Playing on the Bus? Who the hell rides on busses?
Dude...😂 I can't believe I missed that. Thank you
That doesnt look like 40
never thought owen wilson would be teaching ue5
Bro I tried explaining my shit to the homies ,they called me dumb af till they saw this vid ,not even a hype guy ,thanks for this
Did this day 3 of the release
Literally 1 year later they get what's up
Game gear vibes ❤
Go guard counters always follow up with a critical attack?
*do My bad
You know a tutorial is good when you learn a ton in just the first minute. Good video!
Is that Oled or just the standard version
On the bus he say!! In latinoamerica thats impossible😂😂
same here in the philippines LOL which annoys me because it would be so nice to use a steam deck during long bus rides...
Also “short flight”?? Why lol it’ll take up half your bag in that case. Seems more perfect for long flights
It isn't sold in LATAM anyways lol, it's sold in functional countries
How did you get around anticheat
i find it crazy a device worth 500 is only capable of 30-40fps on LOW settings and people enjoy it, i want a steam deck OLED but its kinda pointless feel like ill have to wait for the 2, 60fps high settings at 1280p is when i think its worth buying these handhelds.
when you take into account the size of the screen and how you play this device, it really isn't that big a deal.
Find anything that is better on the go. Steam deck is unbeatable in performance/battery life area. Legion go, ally, gpd, aya , etc are more powerful, but only when above 15w which defeats the purpose of a handheld, you become a slave of the outlet. Unless more custom apus optimized for the low wattage are released SD is unbeatable in the handheld category.
@@Kaylas1821 just because there isn't anything better doesn't mean it's good .. the next one might be worth it but basically a portable ps4 for 500 or an actual ps5 for 380.. its not even a contest
@@bjorn4978 can you carry ps5 around? On the plane? Worst example ever. Try to use your brain for once.
@@Kaylas1821 use my brain for once talking like you know me you absolute sausage 😂 .. I don't care about being able to carry it around, when I'm out im out living I don't need my face in a game 24/7 I like handhelds as I grew up on gameboys and PSP .. I'm not walking outside and playing games like a sweaty virgin and it's not worth 500 for going on a plane once or twice a year .. it's a handheld that will struggle to play any new game released therefore is basically a handheld retro console which is a waste of money and time I want a handheld that can play games for years to come not 16fps on low settings.
It sux. Honestly. But it is playable. Most of the time.
How much is this
get the lowest cost option on steam, and get a high rated micro sd, google specs of the sd card recommend for deck, 1tb are cheap
NASA PC, that's new😂
The stuff I have doesn't have any collision and I cannot for the life of me figure out why
Get a better battery pack
Hammer editor from Source, for example Half Life 2's engine, had a similar concept of level building. You just selected an area in one plane view, changed the size in the others and click enter IIRC. That's how easy it was to create a basic brush and then you can have whole buildings and levels done with just basic blocks, texturing the faces of them. Sad that UE4 didn't have that, I couldn't make a basic house without using the starter content meshes... EDIT: I just found out that UE4 had BSP. Well, crap, I NEVER found them and how to use them there. :(
As someone who's used the BSP tool in UE4 a couple times, you weren't missing much. Very clunky. This is much more intuitive
@@gamesbyaaron I still haven't used either of them, but just by seeing this new editor it seems overcomplicated. I think I like manually entering in dimensions more
Even if you miss your counter strafe, it actually might not matter that much , unless you miss it completely. You can test it out for yourself but as long as the shooting error isn't too high you can still hit an accurate shot, especially close to medium distance
2 hrs is a ton for my old a$$
Steam deck is a wonderful handheld gaming device .
why would you put music over an explanation like this, almost ruined the entire video
2 hours?! Thanks for betatesting, Ill wait until there is some decent play time
how is that not decent lol. 2 to 3 hrs is pretty damn good
Powerful handhelds probably won’t ever get hours and hours of battery life until battery technology improves…
You’d get 4 hours on the new oled or up to 8 hours on ps4 Xbox series X era games! Even more on older games!
Who the heck would even want to play on that tiny screen for more than two hours?
@@donmcron3334 it’s not really tiny, it’s the perfect handheld size. And you’re holding it almost right up to your face or at arms length. Definitely not as an immersive of an experience like in my 75” 4k OLED, but it’s still great! 🤓
Great tool to know, thanks
it my be a cunky boy but try playing elden ring on a switch lmao
Anyone who acts like they're gonna take this "on the go" is a liar. This is made to play in bed while your gf sleeps next to you, and you don't want to wake her up
The rog ally rains Supreme
Thanks for that i just discovered this a bit ago and wanted to know how useful it was and found this tyvm.
That cubegr functionality is fucking trash. You try selecting an object and it always try to select the floor or an object underneath it or the wall next to it. Wtf
All that but no mirror
Cute ass small hands no offense
Guard counters are perfect for dogs
I'm curious on the size references to human characters as to where to start on making levels and objects.
Thanks! This was a great demo of fast blocking out.
I finished the game, around 120hrs 30cap and was geourgeous
@@UnknownUnknown-uq5rv yea its 30 super solid on steam deck bro
@@UnknownUnknown-uq5rv basically with medium settings, native resolution and 30fps cap around 1:30 to 2 hours Remember that the volume and brightness also affect
thanks
It's way more comfortable to hold than the switch. I remember initially thinking that the layout looks weird, but it makes sense when you hold it.
I find it much more comfortable to hold then The switch
@@eugeneokeeffe6the switch is literally the most uncomfortable handheld I've ever used, even a psp was better
its more comfortable yes. but its also heavier so it will eventually be uncomfortable i own both and switch is better for longer sessions my hands cramp after 20 minutes on deck
@@christiansantamaria7233bro lift some weights
@@christiansantamaria7233yup, the deck makes my hands hurt when lying on bed since I'm trying to pull its weight but when placed on a table, it's more comfortable than the switch.
How does it compare to Probuilder in Unity, anyone?
It plays great, but I found like with most games the control layout is a bit sketch. Especially on the bumpers being at such a sharp angle.
Had it a year now, the controls are amazing, this was never a problem for anyone.
@@JDabz96 well that's just wrong, cause it was problem for me
@lazy2335 even my wife who has small hand loves the ergonomics of the steam deck, I got biggish hands and also love its ergonomics especially the 4 back buttons. They perfectly align with my fingers, coming from an Xbox controller it was definitely different, better super easy to get comfortable with after
@@JDabz96 your not me though
@@JDabz96 DONT U UNDERSTAND? UR NOT HIM , NOT THAT GUY PAL
“It is 5 minutes battery life” 10 sec later “totally recommended on the go” understandable
Lol the battery life in a games like elden ring is about 2hrs or more, I can get 3hrs outta elden ring with the right settings
