- Conversations With My Conscience - Episode 1
The premise of this podcast is that I am having a conversation with my conscience. That is the male voice you hear; my father.
We tackle all things life by going through all the lessons I’ve learned with him as my mentor. The ups, the downs, the pain, and the joy. All of it.
The female voice you hear is Neetu, she plays “devil’s advocate”. She voices all the what if, ands or buts in life.
My conscience, my ego and myself. This is it.
With God at the centre of it all.
Enjoy 🤍

What a wise incredible father and man!

Such an interesting point of view concerning the value of men and women, it can open a new conversation about islam and the position of women in islam and other subjects such as heritage and money and the role of the husband because usually atheists use such arguments to discredit islam.. looking forward to more episodes ❤

Salam I loved how u discussing this with your baba Allah bless everyone with such a baba …me and my abo both of us being introvert our discussing is always jxt casual to extent I love it tho he is calm Alhamdulilah but Nvr got such advices from him may Allah have mercy to all our abos (dad)
I only watched the first bit and will watch the rest but as a woman I hate this concept because I feel my true value comes from doing good and growing as a person say by day, finding the best ways to think about life and live and do things and love the people who love and need me. Figuring out that God wants me to be my best because it makes my life worth living has been so enlightening. My value has grown as I’ve become a better more competent person. Alhamdullilah
Also the idea that we have to maintain our value. We all are born with value, because we are put here by God imo . Maybe you are talking about value in the eyes of the world. And the thing about the woman destroying her body, our bodies are damaged after having children, just like when we get older our bodies become less strong. It’s not a bad thing, it’s a fact that we change after children, but some women have husbands or people have put ideas in their head that their body isn’t as worthy after children. I really don’t resonate with keeping value vs, growing it. But I’ve had a hard life as a girl, and woman and felt like my “female value” was used against me. Maybe we need to use a different word than value
Enjoyed this video from start to finish!!! 👌🏾❤️ Learned so much and have a new perspective on certain topics discussed.

Salam, I really love your podcast. Your father is a wise man, Allahouma bareek. Allah yatil bi’umri walidayk. I really find it interesting to see the dynamic and the way that every opinion is backed with a factual/logical argument or the thought process behind it. That being said if someone in the comments would like to discuss the part of “when a man asks for your hand in marriage. He’s not asking you what degree did you get from college, he doesn’t care.”, Addressing the idea that men aren't concerned about a woman's academic qualifications when proposing marriage, it's important to discuss this perspective with a degree of nuance. Education holds considerable sway in partner selection, particularly within the context of Dutch Moroccan culture, where terms like 'kary' (m) and 'karya' (f) denote not just the act of studying but also convey a sense of social standing and achievement. Contrary to the belief of indifference, I've observed a widespread trend wherein men individuals with higher educational backgrounds tend to seek partners of similar academic caliber. While exceptions undoubtedly exist, it's noteworthy that many Dutch and those with a migrant background men do place importance on their partner's educational attainment in evaluating compatibility. In my culture. Therefore I think it’a prudent to acknowledge the significant role that education plays in shaping marital dynamics within our community, even if it's not always explicitly articulated. Now, I used 'I think' safely in the previous sentence because I'm not sure about customs outside of my environment. Is it the case that men don't necessarily pay attention to a woman's academic achievements, and is it just an exceptional case for me where the man finds it almost crucial, given that he also has a specific level in his academics?
Thank you for being you
I’ve been waiting for this! Éxitos amiga

Love the honesty in this video
Hmmm I’m still thinking about it. I think a lot of women did not have fathers like yours. Who made you feel valuable from birth im guessing . A lot of women were abused because of their femininity by the people who were supposed to love and protect them the most. This is where the anger comes from. We didn’t feel valuable for our being a female, we felt hated and resented and like a burden. And this stops women from picking lives that “ maintain “ their value. I should have listened to the whole thing lol. I agree with your dad, I work in a warehouse, I work during my cycle and want to cry the whole time , loool.
Agreed!
5:24 the thing is, an individual could think that the statistics and studies coming from the society they are in are relevant and can be extended to the whole world as an objective truth, which is erroneous.
I am 33 years old and my brother is 18. When we talk about what he wants in a future wife he says he wants a woman who can pull her own weight and not depend on him so much. His argument for this is, you females want to treated equally, want independence you can do it all. I’m just like dam what are we doing to ourselves.
Who is she talking to?
Her dad
