- I take a look at what's brewing with Solasta this year and where this amazing title will be heading.
A tactical turn-based role playing game based on the 5th Edition DnD ruleset. It has seen some great success, especially in the modding front and that's what we will take a look at.

I really enjoyed this game. I got a ton of hours of enjoyment out of it. I've been super happy that we have two really good solid dungeon and dragon games to play: Solasta and Balder's Gate 3.
Each have their own strength and weaknesses but overall it's nice to have two solid fun games to play.
I feel that there is enough steam right now in this genre, we will see similar titles for a little bit over the next few years and (hopefully)it won't sputter out. If anything, BG3 proved that a great old school style rpg can still have legs to stand on in today's market through consistent choice and roleplay while not having to be always real-time. Still wish there were more people swing for fences with real-time w/ pause in rpgs but it is what it is! :)
Nice channel, seems very underrated. As for Solasta 2, I have to agree with you. After closing on kickstarter for a mere 200k, it was insane how they managed to flesh this out as much as they could for a low budget. There are countless other games that used this stepping stones approach, can't blame them for not continuing to support it going into their next game. Hopefully they end up using the pathfinder 2e or 1e system in their next game as 5e is pretty bland for game progression as I've personally noticed from bg3.

Yeah man! They are definitely not working on it now. I'm hopeful that it will continue to get more robust with support from modders in the future and have a place like some of those older titles in the past. Key word, "Hopeful". Hope you are doing well man. Haven't heard from you in a bit. :)

its a great game, my only knock on it on the ps5 is its hard to read all the info, the text is pretty tiny

Feedback is always welcome! I'm just not into inflating videos when you really only have two or three things to address. Which is why they can't open servers like Neverwinter nights, they are done with dlc and showcasing the wealth of mods available. Maybe I should elaborate more. Something to consider.
