      hollowell427 you’re gonna need a chain conversion. Someone who can measure and weld so that they’re straight :) and an idea of how you want your rear fender. Mounted rigid like in the video or as it is normally

      @@MakaJerycho yeah im kinda far from that point yet. Parts aren't cheap. Seems like everything is at least Hundred Dollars for a Harley.. lol. Hence the sayings over here HD = Hundred Dollars or High Dollar.. The heads i got cost over a $1000 for the cnc port job, bigger valves and springs from Hammer Performance. That was after i bought them from a guy i know for $300. Still need about 3.5k more for cams,pushrods,roller rockers,1275cc kit with a 08and up XB/XR crankshaft. So im a long ways off and probably a lot of other stuff i forgot.. lol

    So I want to mount my bobber fender to my swingarm, I also want a sissy bar, but everyone online says if you mount the sissy bar to the swingarm it will vibrate really bad and break the welds. If I only mount my fender to the swingarm and then only mount the sissy bar to the fender, would this be a way for me to get away from the tuning fork problem everyone talks about when mounting the sissy bar to the swingarm? I just don’t want to have to convert my bike to a hard tail

    • @MakaJerycho
      @MakaJerycho  Před rokem +1

      Weld it up reallllll good. Don’t scrimp on cost
      It’ll hold. Or use thicker material

      @@MakaJerycho ok, this be my first welding job, I bought an arc welder for cost, don’t want to get a tig or Meg welder…. I was going to use a 3/32 7018 stick. Do you think I should use a 1/8 7018 stick instead? My fender is only 16gauge and I’m welding to quarter inch steel brackets

    How much for a custom swing arm like you built?

    • @MakaJerycho
      @MakaJerycho  Před rokem

      Few quid! You’d have to book your bike in to get it done. Best ring the shop if in the UK. But they’re all the way down UK in Cornwall

      anywhere between $400-1300 you can buy em already stretched but dudes prefer to fabricate the stock one so they can use a lot of the same hardware
