- If you want to stop cyclists and motorcyclists, by all means. Then you also must accept any lawsuit they might bring against you. I'll leave them to the police, and additionally because it's far less dangerous than a driver doing it. I didn't end up reporting the driver videoing me on his phone, I ran out of spare time.
You can report road crime online here in London: www.met.police.uk/ro/report/r...

Red card is a lovely touch but it need the referee's whistle to get the full impact. :D
😂😂😂 a whistle would be hilarious alongside the card
Reminds me of traffic droid back from the OG days of Gaz, Mikey, and the recumbent bike. He had a traffic droid ticket he would chuck in peoples windows.
I'm hoping for a full gandalf costume and staff
And dress as a referee.
I think you might just get a little too far under people's skin with a whistle - also, it might get you closer to trouble with plod as you might be seen to be attempting to direct traffic. Years ago, I was advised to use a whistle instead of a bell, which no-one could hear. Believe me, it irks people. Badly. I just got a louder bell.
Love that Gandalf is back 😂
You and I both.
My favourite too
I did miss it 😂
someone could have a full time job there , one day they might put a camera there
to catch all the naughty culprits
Or here is a wild idea.... Fix the issue! 😂
Remove the central reservation and put in a filter lane and either a pelican crossing or a zebra crossing.
Cuts journey time and increases safety.
Obviously not good for Mickey content. 😁
Not just on the wrong side of a *_Keep Left_* sign but also where (for pedestrians) the island is clearly marked *_'Look Left'._*
_Hopefully all pedestrians still look both ways_ Well done Mikey! 👍
That's the old wisdom vs intelligence adage:
Intelligence is knowing the road is one way but wisdom is still looking both ways before crossing.
You'd be crazy not to look both ways. Trust nobody.
The two girls who crossed clearly didn't look right.
@@phillwainewright4221 It is quite unbelievable how many people still do not take the simple precaution of looking both ways.....
It would be so easy for a camera to be placed there to capture, record and automate the issuance of proceedings at Gandalf. If the authorities know about it (and it's not as if it hasn't been widely publicised), why the hell haven't they done anything about it? Are they waiting for a major incident to occur first? Good job Mikey.
Royal Parks can't be arsed, it's really weird
They'll only put a camera there if it benefits Kahn's ULEZ lol
The 2 Ladies that walked across just before the first car didn't even look to the right before stepping into the road perfect example
POLICE COUNCILS DON'T REALLY CARE THEY COULD PUT A SIGN UP CCTV £60 FINE WITH THE CYCLIST I WOULD STEP OUT & LET THEM HIT ME AT THE SAME TIME PUSHING THEM OFF IT WILL BE THE CYCLIST FAULT FOR ANY INJURY NOT ONE MOTOR BIKE REPORTED WHY
Perfect example of what?
@stuart23969 if you can't cross the road without looking both ways you shouldn't be out. Sorry I had to explain it to ya.
@guillembauza1658 of course lol some people will think logically that they don't have to look right so they won't, then they get run over by idiots like you driving on the wrong side of the road
@@guillembauza1658Perfect example of why driving on the wrong side of the road is dangerous to others. Yes, it’s wise to always check both sides in case somebody makes an illegal manoeuvre, but if people don’t drive dangerously it would be much safer for pedestrians.
She got caught and she owned it, respect.
One thing with those vehicles sat stationary in traffic...and for quite a while in this video, including the so called "nice guy": They are blocking free passage for pedestrians using the island to cross the road. Including anyone in a wheelchair or mobility scooter who would also be relying on the dropped curbs on both sides of the road to be able to get across. How are they going to cross if traffic is sat blocking their way for a while? Even for regular pedestrians, they'd have to zig zag their way around stationary vehicles if using that natural crossing point. Would be far better if drivers thought more about this and left that area clear if they are going to be stationary.
The difficulty is that it’s not a designated crossing. It’s simply a provision of dropped kerbs and refuge area to make it easier to cross. In the same way as having random traffic islands on busy roads which allow a pesto deal with one lane at a time. The motorist is under no obligation to stop and allow a crossing to be made. At this particular it would simply be a courtesy to leave a space. If the council made it an official crossing then it would be a different matter.
@@TheGiff7 Yes I totally agree and recognize that it's not an official designated crossing. However it would be a lot more considerate and thoughtful to leave that area free for pedestrians to cross. In the same way that it would be considerate and thoughtful to leave a side street clear when queuing in traffic, even when it's not officially a "Keep Clear" or yellow box area. Indeed many motorists keep such side streets clear in order for turning vehicles to have a clear path when main road traffic is queuing and not going anywhere. So why not the same principle for pedestrians, who after all are far more vulnerable? Especially also as mentioned in my OP, some will be relying on the dropped curb to be able to cross at that point. In this video the traffic was stationary and blocking that path for a considerable time, which would significantly inconvenience a road user that relies on those dropped curbs. For example folks in wheelchairs, mobility scooters and those wheeling prams. I totally agree there is no legal obligation for motorists to leave that area clear but it's pretty inconsiderate not to, just as it would be to block a 'non Keep Clear" / non yellow box side road.
@@ibs5080what are your thoughts on this guy? By the looks of this video and him shouting “you’ll see your face on CZcams”, he sounds like an annoying content creator rather than anything else. It’s causing more of a haste to make the cars reverse than to just let them continue
(In my opinion)
@@ibs5080 Sadly in recent years a growing number of motorists are demonstrating huge intolerance towards other road users. Especially those more vulnerable than them and see them as a nuisance. I regularly have drivers run zebra crossing before I’ve even stepped off them. Even my mums street has the entrance regularly blocked off by inconsiderate motorists. When I learnt to drive I was taught to demonstrate courtesy, care and consideration to ALL road users. It seems to me that this is no longer taught and if it is. It is quickly forgotten. In fact the old blue license booklet in Northern Ireland had Courtesy, Care and Consideration printed on page two opposite the photograph. Maybe those being taught should learn to leave a crossing area clear be it marked or not.
Great example of why it's so dangerous too.
Those ladies crossing just before the bad drivers didn't appear to look right. As they don't expect traffic from that direction.
Nice you told the 3 cyclist wrong side.
I saw a cyclist be on the wrong side and straight away got wacked by a taxi. I "maybe" sort of felt bad but had to say, "Should have gone to spec savers"
Bloody cyclists!! Think they own the bloody roads!!
Just thought it was blocked? Pull the other one
It's beyond me why these drivers take this risk ? They could easily be involved in an RTA with serious consequences. Sadly, you can not rule out a fatality if a car hits a bike. Please keep up the good work 👏 👏
RTC* there are no accidents it’s always someone’s fault.
‘RTC, you say? There’s one good thing about it - I’ll be fine in the safety of my metal box.’😅
@@nuttyslack not if it weighs in at 44 tonnes ! 😭
@@KissTheGreat No, it's still RTA despite your silly attitude.
POLICE COUNCILS DON'T REALLY CARE THEY COULD PUT A SIGN UP CCTV £60 FINE
Glad the Nice guy in the car got to see all the action!
Was that who Mikey then reported for being on the phone? I was confused there.
@@Scottish_TV_Gold No i dont think so. The guy at the beginning was all good!
Mikey, you should do a Gandalf Corner Two Wheeler Special, where when you spot a cyclist or scooter/motorcycle coming along on the wrong side, you and a friend run out from the park side, dressed as builders, carrying a 13' Scaffolding Board! 😂
Or a massive sheet of glass, or is it, could be a mime.
This is a perfect example of how drivers will "follow the leader"...as soon as one breaks the law, others think "well now I can too!" and they all go.
That's very true.
How are things back in the Emerald City and the PNW in general? As you may recall, I'm a dual Brit Canadian and my other home is Vancouver BC. Bellevue WA is practically my 3rd home.
Exactly the same way that the people on their bicycles did.
@@ibs5080 Yes I remember you! How's it going? Things are pretty good out here overall, so far it's been a beautiful summer, thankfully not too hot yet! SDOT is doing a lot of traffic upgrades, it's been interesting watching them take shape. Some things are great improvements, others are absolutely stupid 🤦
Once again well done, It would be good for the Police (appreciating they are busy and under staffed) to attend occasionally to catch the odd cyclist?
There are drivers doing 50mph+ a bit further down. That's what they should be stopping
The 'card-of-shame' LOL
What electric bike you use ? And have you seen mirider new electric bike being released next few weeks. Mirider 24. It's on my shopping list to buy later on year. I have the original mirider one from 5 years ago.
I have a Gazelle Avignon HMB C380 Ltd from 2022. It's OK, not perfect.
Why don't the police have special units for things like this, and walking along busy roads at peak times to spot, record and send out fines to phone drivers. If nothing else, it would be a good money maker for them. I wish Mikey's work was like Cart Narcs where there were others doing a similar service in multiple locations.
ontop of that it would also give more people employment, and i think society would benefit from having more members of law enforcement who have a more civilian and gentle role.
The police no longer deal with this offence; it's left to the local council who clearly wouldn't have the resources.
@@chrispop99 Mikey is an unpaid traffic cop. The police are happy to let him do this, saves them doing it.
You know Cart Narcs is just one guy, right? He just does different characters 😂
The money from fines doesn't go to the police
Not the red card 😂😂 that is hilarious, good work Mikey
Anytime I watch your videos I always think 'why does anyone drive a car in London?' It seems like such pain in the ass to sit in traffic jams all day.
When you said Baker Street where in Baker Street? I live near by. Curious
I know I've said this before but, they came from so far back and all together it's clear they have all done the same manouver several times in the past. Thank you and great catch.
What's the torba torba thing you shout sometimes? I appreciate probably spelled wrong
Very good - tauba means repent, I'm telling him he just committed haram LOL.
what was the guy with the phone going on about? Saying he was gonna report Mikey or somethin?
I don't know why I enjoy these so much. I'm not even sure I agree with what Cycling Mikey is doing, but it's damn entertaining to watch him do it.
im playing back to the future 3 soundtrack with this on- it makes it hilarious.
YOU SHALL NOT PASSSSSSS
You are doing a great job for ALL the users of that street!
We can watch you there all day mate. Love these
At least nice if her to act nice after
It may be boring for you Mikey, but that was a great stop in the end. Well done, and keep it up; it is well worthwhile & needed. 👏
Don't think I would own a car if I lived in London!
OK I have to ask, why is it called Gandalf Corner?
You!
Shall!
Not!
Pass!
Lord Of The Rings reference.
Is there VAR for the red card?
What were the results of the drivers you reported?
Unbelievably, the cops/authorities have decriminalised driving on the wrong side of signs, so now its "upto the local authorities" to prosecute. Which, of course, means never. Thank years of Tory cutbacks to the police, prosecution, & justice system.
finally some gandalf again, nice one Mikey, love it!
What day is this and what time?
As in what day of week!
@@amp3458 Vy are you asking ze qvestions? I am in command here, zat iz my job.
@@CB-xr1eg because I cycle round the park a lot and never see this, wondering when it happens!
@@amp3458 Ach so! You cycle around ze park a lot yes? Vot an amazing life you must lead.
A Camera Plus , a camera sign and a warning 3 penalty points and a £100 fine night just do the trick !
Do you get a yellow for beeping horn? 🟨
WHY WHY do the other drivers let them back in to the queue????
It would just cause more chaos if they didn't. Maybe even a spot of road rage.🤷♂
Glad to see that you are still doing this.
3 @ once... like ducks following each Otter 😂
The referees a biker, the referees a biker!
A new Gandalf video! Thank you!
But I'm wondering about the cars that are standing in the walkway all that time. It is a car and then a motorbike. Is that allowed? Where I come from it is not. How would a person with a stroller pass?
I'd concentrate on phone drivers, there's no penalty for this.
No the blue arrow tells them which side to pass. There is a potential 3 points.
That guy in the Kia Niro wanting to get in the wrong himself.....couldn't make out a word he was yelling though.
On that corner Mickey,
Surely a Wand and a Cape draped over the arm would be fitting..?!
Ah, the lemming instinct. It's great to see the positive interactions.
It’s still a good show on Gandalf corner. The first sedan probably does it all the time and was surprised to see you this time. The second black Prius was a foolish one.
Hi Mikey, was just wondering what the most amazing car you’ve seen in London is? Your favourite that is :)
There are so many supercars in London. A Pagani Zonda stands out, as does a lovely E-type Jag from a previous video.
And the outcome? Were they prosecuted?
So you don't dare to stop them if they fall off but you will happily step out into a moving car 🤔🤣 kinda makes no sense
Nice bike, Mikey care to do a review of it ? Seems electric ?
Don't you report them from gandolf courier any more
They don't get prosecuted anymore.
It's a small thing Mikey but why not park your bike behind the one way arrow?
It looks here as though you"re blocking part of the pedestrian way...
Keep up the good work!
No need - I'm sitting right there and can move it if anyone needs me to. So far people have been able to cross easily and without obstruction so I see no need to change.
Haha, you tell him he's doing something wrong then you say _keep up the good work_ Hilarious.🤣
WHat is this new e-bike?
Sure, it's a Gazelle Avignon HMB C380 Ltd.
I don't see this anywhere else. Why does it happen here so much?
As there so many fools on the road, they should put camera up it would pay for itself in weeks.
........but it would set a costly precedent?
@@middleman9183 As I said it would pay for itself , you can read can you not.
@@kennethbowry1521 but every street would want one - you can read can you not?
@@middleman9183, only costly to those not following the rules.
Been issued ONE NIP in 42 yrs of motorised road use, and deserved it! Held up my hands, explained my mitigation and attended an awareness course. No bemoaning the camera, no moaning about it all being a money grab, I messed up & paid the price!
Part of driving is being responsible; if you cant take responsibility for your actions, dont drive
I just cannot get my head round why people think it’s ok to deliberately drive on the wrong side of the road 🤷🏽♂️🤯
It started with 3rd world drivers, now their example has emboldened others. It's not just at island like this, it's happening along loads of congested streets where they want to take a right to try & find a rat run too.
It’s been a bit slow Micky and the red card is a nice touch 🤣👍👍
The guy that sat there and didn't say a word until he could drive off 😂 what a coward 😂
Yea, a proper gutless Gary...oops sorry mate.😛
Probably not a good idea to block the highway with your push bike on the pedestrian crossing
Nobody was impeded, so please don't make up nonsense.
As your always quoting the law I thought I would make you aware of a potential problem I wouldn’t think it’s nonsense
Rubbish. You can stand all day with a bike.
Not if it’s blocking the foot way
Keep going Mikey and stay safe mate.
Please make more Gandalf content like the good old days
I thought you said the parks weren't going to go after these drivers now Mikey? I think I read that in one of your earlier recent videos and was severely disappointed in the authorities for their attitude.
Apparently the failing to comply with keep left offence is now civil enforcement, not Police.
Love a bit of the ol' gandolf corner 😅
I 💘❤💘 these gandalfs corner videos
If I ever come to England im coming to that same corner like its a tourist destination like its the Niagra Falls, if you could kindly film the the surrounding behind you, want to see why 1 side is always jammed.
It's the morning rush hour, so everyone is trying to get into central London. Have a look for the Royal College of Physicians on Google maps, and then you can open streetview to see it properly.
Just a thought, but if it was compulsory to not block the road at a pedestrian island, both cyclists and motorcyclists would be able to proceed without going on the wrong side of the island. It would also keep the way clear for the pedestrians that all this infrastructure was built for in the first place.
More Gandalf content please!
well done love watching these ive watched most of the gandalf videos lol
Did you report the guy you were talking to at the beginning also that was filming????
Im sure if these videos were shown to the council/ local authority then ANPR camera would be put up !
Priceless
Thank goodness I don't live in London and have to put up with that non moving traffic.
they really backed off quickly when you pulled the red card, it must have looked very intimidating
Should do.some video on Oxford street lots of cars driving when they should not
They'd make so much money putting a camera up with automatic fines going out.
An apology, how nice!
Thanks Mikey ❤
"tawba tawba tawba" haha that was unexpected
Cyclists letting the side down also, but love what you do to promote better driving of all vehicles and of course gandalf corner is a goldmine of bad decisions.
The cyclists need to do better!
Yes
They think they own the bloody roads!!!
@@sirbarnabyst.johntoffingto9017 Cyclists own the roads as much as anyone else as they are the public highway. You drive only via revocable licence; your driving is a privilege and not a right. Cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders/carriages all use the public highway by right and were there before cars were. Know your place.
@CyclingMikey as a driver of a vintage Merc I must certainly do not believe I own the highway, they are property of his majesty, plus the councils, who rather too often cannot seem to be bothered to fix the potholes!! How many potholes in Blackburn, Lancashire? Not certain. But Torquay? More than enough to fill the bleedin' Albert Hall!!
More Gandalf please.
Did Captain Birds Eye in FH18 TYS use the c word there? If so, the old saying is true, there's no fool like an old fool.
Gandalf is legend can't believe it they still do it
Yes! More Gandalf corner! 😂
Hi Mickey how's it going keep up hard work mate these people get what they deserve
First time watching, everyone has to have a hobby I suppose but what a totally rubbish way to spend your day 😳, you must have something, anything better to do than this surely

One day this immigrant will get his comeuppance.
Doing the job the Met Police can't be bothered to do.
Thought I was seeing things at first with the red card lol.
I hope you reported the belligerent phone driver.
Do you do the same for cyclists breaking the law?
Why haven't the police or local authority just put a camera there to photograph and fine. Think of the revenue. They had no problem doing me when I went through a poorly signed bus gate.
I just love this
Not related to this clip, but my suggested responses for people who don't like what You do.
1) I assume You get more positive feedback than negative. So You can tell that to anyone who complains, "You're in the minority."
2) Anyone who says You're a snitch etc, is on the side of criminals and happy for people to get hurt and for property to be damaged.
3) This also leads to increased insurance costs for everyone. Which the complainer is also happy about...
How are numbers 2 & 3 "suggested responses"?🤷♂
