  • This video takes you on a tour of my latest drypoint and monoprint series, showing you some mark making inspiration and ideas. All of these pieces are finished in the home print studio with low-tech printmaking techniques.
I actually started printing with these 2 plates over a year ago, and have now rediscovered them, and printed some more. So this collection is a mixture of older and newer prints.
As they are finished off in the home studio, they are all very different, despite coming from the same plate.
Lots more artwork at ruthander.co.uk as well as my self-paced hand printing video course, available to buy.

These are lovely. Love the ragged, loose edges outside of the drypoint. And the colors are yummy. 😊

    Hi Ruth,
For drypoint, what is the medium you use, as an engraving plate? Thank you

Hi Laurence, I often use an aluminium plate (which you can buy online- intaglioprintmaker.com or hawthornprintmaker.com in the UK). You can also get drypoint card called 'Enviromount' which is very easy to scratch into and I often use that too.
