  • I love printmaking at home without a press, and here are some of the no-press printing techniques to give you some art inspo and mark-making inspiration.
My trip to Skye has inspired me to make some monoprints on tissue paper- something I haven't done in a while. Tissue paper is perfect for making atmospheric, transparent and ethereal landscapes and seascapes.
In this video I talk you through my planning and composition sketches, colour mixing and first few layers of colour.
Lots more artwork at ruthander.co.uk as well as my self-paced hand printing video course, available to buy.

I'm looking forward to your next session on this print.
Can you tell me what surface you're rolling the oil paint on to and how you clean it so well before rolling out a different colour ?
