I used my 30mm macro and I have now changed it to become my go to lens. Rarely used it before.
No doubt, my least-used lens to date would be my Laowa 6mm f/2 (12mm EFL/122° AoV as I primarily shoot MFT). It's a great lens that I never expected to use much, so that would be a good candidate. My next-least-used lens would be my Mitakon Speedmaster 25mm f/0.95, so one of my least-used lenses is some photographers go-to "fast 50," but I happily have a different approach to many things. My most-used lens is my Lumix G X 35-100 f/2.8 II (followed by the Oly 60mm f/2.8 Macro). Go figure.
Deciding on which lenses to take or leave drives me mad. This is a good challenge. 40 mm is one I’m always nervous to use as an only travel lens. Not wide enough for architecture close up, and not telephoto enough for capturing distant objects. This is the lens I will choose. .
Great idea, Brian. I will send a couple of shots with my Olympus 14-150mm f4-5.6 II. I took it out a few weeks ago after well more than a year of idleness. It's quite a sharp and versatile lens if you have the light for it.
It is not a challenge to use zoom lenses ! I only use prime Lenses, so I never get lazy with Photography !
ill probably participate, it sounds like a fun idea!
Well that challenge would give me a choice of any lens I own. For some reason I have developed a fear of taking photos in public. It might be a bit late but I’ll see if this challenge can spur me into doing something again
Go for it. I must admit I can understand your fear though.
Interesting timing as I took some shots Friday that would normally have been on the Oly 17mm F1.8 but had the Olympus 40-150 plastic fantastic mounted as had no time or place to change lens. Anyway just emailed a couple of pics.
I might get the old 40-150 out.
I'm trying to justify buying the 2.8 version but the plastic fantastic hasn't seen much action since getting the 14-140.
It's a funny starting place 40. But I've no doubt the pro lens is very good.
The f2.8 40-150mm PRO is an amazing lens, but also relatively large, especially compared to the 40-150 f4-5.6. The middle sister is the 40-150 f4 PRO. It's not that much bigger then the f4-5.6 but has the PRO grade image quality, build quality, and IP53 weather sealing.
Sounds good. i'll grab my 18mm Laowa. Not big on the manual focus so ive only taken it out twice since buying it. Also cool songs channel and awesome job on Frank Sinatra's "I've got you under my skin " Michael C Hall does a good version of that song in the movie Gamer as well
Funnily enough I did this the other day. Was wondering which lens to take with my EM5iii, and chose the Oly 50mm, which I never use. I took pics of a eucalyptus forest near home and was amazed at the quality and sharpness of this lens! I normally take a zoom, currently Lumix 14-140, my latest acquisition, but this little 50mm was just as sharp, if not sharp and clearer than that! Now to decide which one I’ll take today😊
Can you use a adapter and use old manual focus lens?
Anything you want. The point is to get people out having fun.
