  • In this video, I do my best to unpack a method of aggressive play that is often utilized by higher-level players. This can level up your aggressive game without the common occurrence of inting or being an idiot. Enjoy :)

    Can't believe I haven't thought to call it "controlled aggression" -- perfect name tbh

      I also haven't seen anyone coin this term so I figured I would do it haha

    Very well put together. I love how you mentioned to the concept of teammates occupying a target to free you up for a flank. That's a concept that I value very much and am grateful that you pointed out. Great insight into the mind of a player that really puts thought into how they execute in a game.

    I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Thank you for taking the time to make it and I hope you decide to make more. I would love to see more of these particularly regarding your favorite weapons. Say for instance shotgunning or SMGs. How to choose your engagements, how to decide when to pull out the SMG or Shotty. How to challenge a corner against another shotgunner. Things of that nature.

    This was genuinely a very helpful video. Thank you. Tbh, I haven't been enjoying PVP as of late, and I could make every excuse in the world for that. But, when it comes down to it, it's because I'm not playing well mechanically or making bad decisions. It's hard to stay in the optimal mind set sometimes. The points you brought up shown with examples shows that someone can play aggressive while also playing their life (to the best of their ability in any situation). Good content as always. Well done.

    Should make a sister video called disciplined disengagement. I know you think the market is cornered on this type of content but most of it is structured around tips to make you better and doesn’t often dive into the moment by moment thought process of a good player. The clip on ev where you wait to shoot the target until your team puts in some damage takes a lot of will power and was a perfect demonstration of controlling your aggression. What separates me and you as a player is that clip, I don’t consistently have the discipline to not immediately start shooting in that situation, really impressive stuff. I think another video where you show similar situations but instead you break off and retreat and don’t chase down the weak player would pair really well with this video.

      Appreciate the feedback and yeah I will probably consider making another video on disengaging at some point down the road. People seem to really dig my commentary during a game so I will try to lean into that more for sure.

    I love this type of content where you take a deeper dive into your thought process in different scenarios. Hope the sandbox update changes the state of PvP as well, as I too find it a chore to play atm. Love the vids! Hope to see more in the future.

    Love the video, I personally like these simpler types of videos (not necessarily low production quality, but less scripty and not as many effects and what not) where it’s more of a commentary than a produced video. I think the biggest thing that you point out that people need to realize is that when top players make plays like you show, alot if it is making educated guesses like you say, and that’s developed through repetition and a sort of introspection when playing. I’ve been liking your content so far alot, since much of it is talking off the cuff and just giving thoughts and ideas. Once style of content that I feel is kind of starved atm for Destiny is commentaries (ala D2Y1 Cammy live commentaries) that provide a mental showing of a top tier player. Anyways I’ll try to watch the stream more in the future, love the content though 👍🏼

    I liked the gameplay review parts - here is what a good player is doing and why. Would also enjoy hearing what bad players are doing wrong and should do instead if you enjoyed the review part.

    Really good video overall. Ur actually not bad with tutorial/tip videos and broke down the mindset of why players choose actions when replaying clips pretty well.

    well you see Im good at controlled aggression and situational awareness my issue is just having the ability to hit the shots i need to hit to come through. I win plenty of 1v3's in elims just brining them into an enclosed space but the situations i tend to put myself in are all or nothing and its either I have to hit every shot to win or I mess up slightly and loose that fight.

    Great video lunarz. I still watch your old arc/ way of the warrior videos as I am on console as well:. Not sure you can teach how to never lose duels but would love your thoughts on the subject:

    • @2011manchu
      @2011manchu  Před 2 lety

      Don't know if that can be taught. A good habit to form is to take fights that you think are advantageous and disengage from fights you are losing.

  • @gamerstevedougmacattack

    Bro i love your videos. I would like to know things like what does play for your spawn mean. Just little tips that only scrims players know.

    • @2011manchu
      @2011manchu  Před 2 lety +1

      When I say play for spawn, that means you wait for your entire team to spawn before you take a fight, IF you can. Because if you don't, and take disadvantageous fights off spawn, your team will repeatedly split spawn and its an easy way to lose the lead
