@@Freddimatronic its bing maps because msfs is as the name says mady by microsoft which own bing maps that mean that they dont have to pay for their map area
he did do good but i just want to say that the plane was a C-17 and the C-17 can land almost anywhere because it has powerful reverse thrust. but yea it was a soft landing i suppose.
You should practice touching down quicker so you have more room to stop. Your wheels on the 2nd to last one didn't touch the tarmac until you were like halfway over the runway. That's a lot of space wasted. You gotta be like a Navy pilot and slam that plane down. Smooth landings don't really matter if you run of out room to stop and end up crashing.
Courchevel is DEFINITELY snowier there. (Also Michael Schumacher had his near fatal accident there WHEN SKIIING). You see the restaurant near the front right when you land? Yeah, it’s ski in ski out. Trust me. I went there. However google earth may have taken the photos in the summer making it less snowy
Helicoland? Do you mean Helgoland? Its a small isle in the north sea owned by germany. Germany traded it in the ~1890 with the UK, they got Zanzibar (In west africa) for it.
I've landed on luka airport, Nepal, in real life, its was one of the scariest experiences of my life. The airplane was shaking like crazy and one of the windows cracked.😂😂😂
"commercial" runways, yeah ALL runways, hell nah there are PLENTY of official "hard" runways that are shorter... but not "commercial" and those who know... there are plenty of "grass" ones that are also registered runways, but way shorter
Yes. I used to work for Delta Airlines. An MD88 got stuck at the jetbridge because the bridge broke down. So they cleared it with the FAA to use reverse thrust at the gate to back up. It is severely unhealthy for the engine but it *will* do it.
Aaron, you need to work as a tv presenter. 😂
Lol
Nah, he needs to work for RyanAir.

Try to land on the Simko Field AirPort in Inkom, Idaho. The runway is only about 400 feet long.
I didn't know my eyes could get any bigger with the progression of each shorter runway.
Courcevel airport is on a ski piste. I was there and plane took off just as we arrives

I have a video idea. This might sound insane, but take the world’s shortest flight on the world’s fastest plane.
There is a commercial runway in B’akelan Sarawak, Malaysia that is slightly shorter at 549m.
If you think about it C-17 Globemaster II is a smaller Lockheed C-5 Super Galaxy

What happens if you use reverse thrust right before you land on very short runways.
land a C-5M on SABA
Would a plane go backwards if you left full reverse thrust on?
Yes. I used to work for Delta Airlines. An MD88 got stuck at the jetbridge because the bridge broke down. So they cleared it with the FAA to use reverse thrust at the gate to back up. It is severely unhealthy for the engine but it *will* do it.
