you place your schoolbag on the hook ok the wall, walk into the classroom and sit down on the floor. The teacher says "good morning class" to which the class groans back "gooood moooorrrninnggg Mrs Smiiiittthhhh". Once you are sitting at the desk, you pull out your sacred journal. All day you work until the last ten or so minutes until recess. Suddenly in the distance, there is the sound of "going round the twist" theme song or BTN and you turn to see the smartboard glowing. You grab your lunch and settle down next to your friend, possibly trading your Vegemite sandwich for a Tim Tam or an LCM bar. It is a glorious day for an Aussie school kid.
this brings back so many memories
that's an aussie rainy day, at primary school and not sure if its just my school, but the music goes on and after that the bell rings, ah my favourite days.

years to you are grades to us in america. so, year 2 is second grade. we still call is kindergarten though. depending on where in the US you are, sometimes 6th grade is middle school, and sometimes 7th is. then 9th grade starts high school, which is freshman year. 10th grade is sophomore, 11th is junior, and 12th is senior. then college.

Typically 6th - 8th grade marks Middle school. However, as mentioned before some schools include 6th grade in Elementary school.
