the whole being labelled as a reader by teachers thing is so real because i was in the exact same situation as you. i literally had no friends when school started up again after quarantine, so all i had to do during tutor period (homeroom) was read because what else are you supposed to do when you have no one to speak to? i'm kind of glad about it all though, because it's what got me into reading more.

Oh my god you were so young during the pandemic, i feel bad. It was awful enough as an adult.
It had some benefits too though! I'm grateful that I had a period of learning new things in solitude because I was able to exit the pandemic with fresh new perspectives on life :) especially during my awkward early-teenage years
