I will say, throwing out Magnussen and hiring Mazepin, getting that Mazepin cash and spending it all on the 2022 car, then throwing Mazepin out for K-Mag again was a galaxy-brain move by Steiner.

Couldn't agree more. Stroll is a good driver I'm not expert if other drivers were a lot better when he joined Williams but I like him even in Williams when everyone saw from race 1 to midd season he was working hes ass off to manage and be better driver

One major thing you glossed over in Imola: Despite the red flag and the fact that Mick crashed and had to get a new nosecone, he finished the race close to _lapping_ Nikita.

Its still strange to see people still amazed, how shumascher is faster then mazepin, despite many haas interviews, where they stated that shum drives fresh and much lighter chassis whole season. I dont like Mazepin, but all this hate towards him is not justtified. And other big thing here - haas do not have training simulators and guess who still have access to them. With all those circumstances and favoritism, its shouldnt be a surprise, why one driver is faster then other

Steiner did an interview with Ekstra Bladet a few days ago that basically consists of a dozen quotes of him saying whether they like Nikita or not, Haas would be gone without Mazepin money.
He even goes as far to say: "Sometimes you are forced to make decisions, even if you don’t like them at all."
Haas is still on the ropes. It may not be around in 5 years.
After Mazepin's fastest lap, I am sure that this video is going to have 1 million views in remaining 4 days.

To give him credit he has gone from catastrophe at the beginning of the season to somewhat anonymous which is an improvement though, like Schumacher, he's hampered by a terrible car that will highlight any of their weaknesses and fling itself at a wall if it's in the mood. Even if the car does improve he'll have to go some way to be more then a hit or miss driver with a bit of an aggressive dopey streak.
The thing is, he is a decent driver but just too much ego. It hasn't really changed the last races imho. Take for instance our known Pastor Maldonado. He was a shit driver and a complete mess. But that was that, it was nothing more. Pastor was just shit at driving and never made good predictions of what could happen (and did happen). That's where the difference between Nikita and Pastor diverges for me, because Nikita quite obviously make decisions which are conscious that they put the other driver in danger. Being a shit driver is one thing, being a shit driver and trying to hurt others is a complete other.

@@Wexexx I disagree with that man. Nikita hasn't shown any speed potential. I know he's at ashitbox of a haas right now, but come on he could at least impress us by regularly beating his teammate. And what he did to Schumacher at Baku was low, unnecessary, and inexcusable. Ok, he seems to be chilling out ATM, but that move will be stuck with me for a while.
And come on, we all love to bash Maldonado but the guy was fast! He was ridiculously sloppy though, and had laughable lapses of attention/concentration which resulted in some memorable "lowlights". But he had tremendous financial backing and despite of all ridiculousness that he used to pull off he managed to win a race on merit, on a very competitive 2012 season ( it was a normal race with no crazy stuff happening like massive crashes) which many highly rated and praised drivers around never managed to do (cough cough hulkenberg).
Sorry I don't mean to be rude but I just think you're comparing apples to oranges there.
But anyway since mazepin is here to stay i guess we have to cope with him and hopefully, eventually he will improve and get better, both driving and behaviour wise, like Stroll did (driving-wise).

I'm just surprised that Mazepin isn't terribly ashamed of the facts that: A. He's a pay-driver; B. Daddy is paying for him; C. He comparatively sucks as a driver in F1; and D. He's a dick. Perhaps that last point indicates why he doesn't seem to care. It's so sad. No other team will want him because other teams don't get daddy's money.
A. He is a pay driver. Just like Stroll and Lauda. B. Nigga most daddies paid they kids to be in. C. Yea, he needed more time in D. He really ain't that bad if you com pair the good things he's done compared to the bad.

I feel like it's impossible to judge any driver in a Haas this year. The team is so poor right now that it's believable that he could have a heavier chassis (even if it's not true, it's totally believable) and Mick's wonky seat, plus the fact it's clearly crap overall.
Mazespin still has a lot more to prove than any other driver, although honestly Tsunoda is trying hard to look worse.
I actually thought for a second that your Patrons were a list of all the people Mazepin had gotten in the way of!

As an American trying to get into this sport has been very hard, with a lack of understanding, and very little means to watch, but your videos help me understand more and more and more about this sport, and how amazing it is. I really do hope that F1 picks up in the US, and maybe even WRC. But again thank you for the content and helping me learn and enjoy this tremendous sport!
Univision or Telemundo used to broadcast all of the races (albeit in Spanish) but those channels are free. You don't need cable or any subscriptions just a digital antenna. Not sure if they still carry the races but it's worth looking into. If you have cable then ESPN broadcasts all of the races.

As if same kind of defending hasn't been seen in F1 time after time, and deemed as ''great defending''. Albon was put on the grass on Kemmel straight and no one batted an eye. Mazepin puts someone on the asphalt run off size of a parking lot and is deemed ''dangerous''. :D F1 ''fanbase'' is such a clownfest.

For me Tsunoda is more of a disappointment than Mazepin. The AT has the pace, Haas leaves you no chance for points or anything close to that anyway. There's not much you can do beside racing your teammate.
Well, yes you can pretty much only race your teammate, or possibly some other cars if you're really good (see Russel on the williams). That being said mazepin couldn't keep up with Mick, who is also a rookie, in a single race.
And Tsunoda looked more promising prior to F1 so people had higher expectations of him
And he did what he had to do at Turkey by defending against sir Lewis for 1/6 of a race.
So... Yuki isn't bad, but he isn't good either.
Well, he is still starting. I do still hold out hope that he might improve…
I mean, Mazepin is pretty much always at least an entire lap behind Mick, so while I'd say that the car is certainly not ideal, I don't think you could say it's all in the car.
Can you just imagine, how much it hurts me, an adequate Russian, to have such a driver in F1, representing my country. Especially, after Kvyat was dropped. I do really wish I could support him. But there is no sign I could... Yet, at least

In all honesty, I think Mazepin is showing signs of improvement, however, he still needs to show some respect to the front runners, he still seems to not respect blue flags that much. I think alot changed for him after Baku when he damn near took out himself and Mick. Since then he seems to be giving Mick alot more space.
Both drivers have come on leaps and bounds since Bahrain, Mick’s defence on Max was 🔥and Maz made a nice move on Mick in Silverstone

He's been fine on blue flags all year. He had that one incident, with Pérez at Portugal, but he was exiting the pits, was blind to a car behind him due to the tiny straights until turn 4, had no advance warning that Pérez would be close enough to try a dive into turn 4 (the only notification being the blue flag itself, which only told him there was a car somewhere between his gearbox and 1.2 seconds behind), and judging by his responses to blue flags the rest of the season, he was likely waiting for the straight after turn 4 to safely pull out of the way. Pérez's overtake attempt was quite the dive, honestly, and I don't think he should have gone for it - much like Hamilton at Imola on Russell/Bottas.
And then he was taken out by Kimi in the pitlane of Hungary.

The Guenther impression in this video is LEGENDARY
I was sat at Club for the British gp this year. TV didn't see it but the best overtake that I saw was Mazepin passing MSC through the chicane and on the inside. Very high risk and on a team mate which is probably why we won't see any other driver try it.
It was a good move, to be fair to him. I was on the start/finish line so I saw it too.
