Very useful information! Thank you!!
Replace the acetic acid and muriatic acid with Oxalic Acid, 5 lbs cost $25
It will last you a lifetime. I say it works 10x's better and likely cheaper in the long run. However your video is great and prevents folks from wasting money on the "premix junk" 5lbs of powder oxalic acid is enough to wash 60-75 loads of clothes (once only each) clean 10,000 ft of fence or make the most beautiful clear quartz crystals even more amazing. I'm from Arkansas and I use to work for the Largest Water Utility here. Back before regulations we use to give out 1/4 cup powder to customers use got their clothes stained from the Fe & Mg due to the fire Dept's doing their yearly fire hydrant inspections. We can't provide it to them anymore but we can tell them. I'd like to see a test using oxalic vs Muriatic vs Acetic on cleaning stained cloths. My bet is Oxalic would win hands down.
Great video Sir. I will keep this video handy to share to others that have this problem.
Better living through chemistry! 👍 Instead of a charcoal infused filtering face-piece respirator, I would use a properly fitted elastomeric half face-piece respirator with an acid gas cartridge when handling the Muriatic Acid (hydrochloric acid). This assumes that the person is medically capable of wearing a respirator that places stress on his or her breathing. Another option might be to use a fan to blow acid gases away while mixing outside or if it gets in the air some other way. Anyway, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. 🎄🎄🎄
Excellent useful idea 💡👍
At my previous house I had a lot of iron in the water and the shower would turn pumpkin orange after just a few weeks. I got one of those 1qt pump sprayers from Harbor Freight and use it to spray Works toilet bowl cleaner on the rust. It might take 2 applications for the heavier buildup but it works great.
Nice tip. Love the effective home grown solutions they don't want you to know about.
oxalic acid is my go-to. buy it by the pound in powder form and mix the concentration you need into a paste or liquid.
Great stuff
i watched your ultra sonic cleaner from 5 years ago would you help me with my ultra sonic cleaner?? great video as always
Fantastic tips as always! Happy Holidays to you & your family! 👍👍🌲🌲
Thanks Steve. Same to you and your family!
Very good video! Where did you source that charcoal face mask?
Amazon
Thy
Would either of these work on getting red dirt stains off of cinder blocks?
Possibly
Cool useful tip, wonder how well the iron remover will work on wheels?
Love your channel and vids so I'll just pretend I never saw your recent community post and learned you might be a crackpot lol
I would not use an acid solution on aluminum. I haven't done a community post in almost 2 years
