- Matt Biolos and Noa Deane have a complicated relationship.
Somewhat passive-aggressively, the two have been at heads with one another on a number of subjects, not least of which Noa's win at the first Stab High in 2018.
According to Matt, the skate-inspired tricks Noa was putting down weren't a freshly baked as the judges had believed. Matt's argument: Justin Matteson and Joe Crimo were doing the very same varials and shuv-its on the Lowers left 25 years ago, whereas Eli Hanneman's corked out flip-variations represented the true progressive vanguard.
But the feud runs deeper than that, to the point where we were nervous Noa would ID the Mayhem and write it off out of principle. So we threw a little smokescreen in Noa's Acid Test and had Matt work with his longtime collaborator, Paul Lefevre aka The Son Of Cobra, on an updated Cobra Killer Twin, adding in a stabilizing trailer fin option. - Sport

Just bought a 5'11 stock dims cobra killer. Went surfing and waves were heavier than I expected... but it surfs really well and you don't feel it's a twinny, except for the speed and jow loose it is. My board is a pure twinny, no third box for trailer. And I don't think the board needs it

Yeah dude, like who would want a board made by one of, if not the most successful shaper of the last 20 years. Obviously the French panel beater does better boards.

xwhite2020 it’s pretty rare to get a custom board made from Matt unless you have some connections. Paul in other hand, will make you a hand shaped custom board for the price of a machine made board!
It’s a no brainer for me. I’ll go with his round twin V2 custom over a board of the rack.

Too much concave makes the board wanna stay flat- hard edges off the tail works best- slightly concave through the center 🤙

Rode a few mayhem models in the past, not impressed! Plenty of other better choices out there, plain & simple!
Here we go again. Another good surfer trying to get a twin fin to surf like a thruster. As a surfer born and raised here in Ocean Beach/Sunset Cliffs where the Lis fish was born, and riding all manner of twins,bonzers, I as well as 90% of San Diego institutional shapers will tell you, experimenting is essential however, twins are made to be surfed a certain way. Same goes for a single fin, or a quad. Hop on a keel fin twin and haul ass. Enjoy a long drawn out cut back. If you want to air and fucking rip, get a 5'5 19 1/4 Lost fish 2+1.

@@MyMotherWasaNinja No. But I'll tell you I have one and it inmediately became my first to go to board. However, I think Matt's ego didn't let him keep Lefevre's fin placement and fins, and he screwed it.
