    Awesome video,the editing and time vs information provided is on point. I didn’t get bored and actually watched longer than I expected. And I wholeheartedly agree with the safety factor. Not only did my man make it look cool, but it helps keep cage drivers aware that there are bikes out there. It’s easy to become invisible to anyone who isn’t used to seeing bikes or not often enough. So making it prominent it helps raise awareness. Great job all around brother! 🙏🏻😎💪

    When you think about it, the red switches are cooler for when the light is on or off. When a gun or weapon system in a jet is "hot" it glows red to let the user know its ready to fire !

    I think all of the extra luz are a good ider. You need to be seen by other drivers. The lights also help you to see in the dark. I also really like the skulls that have light up eyes. I know you said the colors seem backwards but I like it the way you wired them. Its like when the eyes are rojo, its like a gun ready to fire. Your motorcycle is unique and original. It is also bonita.

    I,ev enjoyed watching your video several times. I don’t know if I’d do as many things as you, but if you could help me with a couple questions, it would be appreciated.
    First, did you install a terminal block to handle all the extra accessories? Second, dddi you run the wiring for the driving lights/turn signals thru the crash bars? And in addition, did you connect them directly to the turn signal wiring? Lastly, tell me about the lights between the bags and the fender-make, length, etc.. I currently have an 03 Yamaha 1100 I’m trying to resurrect to sell. Not sure what I’ll get as a replacement but these things I will incorporate regardless.
    Thanks so much for your help.

    • @Asyss_Complex
      @Asyss_Complex  Před 2 lety

      1) I didn't install a terminal block for the accessories. They're all connected directly to the stock wiring, each with their own fuses and connectors. But now that you mentioned it, a terminal block would've been a much better option.
      2) Yes, I did run the wiring for the turn signals through the crash bar. That's why the setup looks clean, it's all hidden (at the 22:22 mark you can see the wire sleeving coming out of it). I just needed to drill a couple of holes for the light but other than that, it was pretty easy. And yes again, it's connected directly to the original wiring. They are LEDs so no need to worry about overloading the electrical system.
      3) In the description of the video, there are links for some of things I show in the video. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend buying the same cheap LED strips I got. They gave me a lot of problems, and the quality is low (I say "gave" because I just sold this bike). If I were to do it again, I would buy them from some reputable brand. It'll be a little more expensive, but will pay off in the long run.

    • @kenwittlief255
      @kenwittlief255 Před rokem

      do not put that ram air hypercharger on a Vstar bike. With a carb'd bike you can only jet it correctly for ONE SPEED.... 80mph for example, or 90mph... because a carb cannot adjust to the changes in the airflow from the air blast hitting the front of the bike.... The bike will run horribly rich below that one speed, and dangerously lean above it.

    • @Asyss_Complex
      @Asyss_Complex  Před 3 lety

      Yes, it's not that difficult to install. I'm not exactly sure but I think they came with a diagram to do the wiring. You just have to cut the wires from your brake light and then hook them up to the module. As for you other question, yes, I ran the lights from the headlights (that's where I connected them to the turn signal lights) to the crash bars. Again, I don't remember if they came with a diagram. You only have to identify which wires are for the left and right turn signals.

      Is this what you're talking about: czcams.com/video/7w_yhJjac0Y/video.html ?
      That would actually look really good, but I like the "compactness" of the original shaft drive.

    I never thought I’d live to see it, but someone turned a VStar into a disco bike. What a piece of crap!

    Beautiful bike I just bought a 1999 Yamaha v star 650 and not sure what I want to do with it yet I’m thinking more of a bobber type build since it’s already looks like one and this kinda give me a good idea of what mods I’ll do to it thanks 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾
