Now, developer Milestone is back again with a sequel to it's best-ever selling release. But is it a worthy successor, and does it justify a second purchase? Watch our review to find out!

The first game was a wonderful surprise. Best arcade drift handling I’ve experienced in a very long time. Old school arcade fun. However, this sequel just isn’t doing much to make me think it’s worthy of picking up. Just as I suspected from the trailers, the new vehicles don’t sound like much fun, and frankly they just seem out of place. So basically I’m tempted to just go back and play more of the original game. I might buy this when it’s $20.
I just picked up my pre-order copy yesterday, which happened to also by my birthday! And I must say, that I absolutely LOVE and thoroughly enjoy this game! I do miss the blind box features of the first game as well as the upgrade component with the gears feature. But overall, I feel that Unleashed 2 is overall a better effort than it's predecessor. Being able to jump your vehicle and the side swipe features are a big improvement! I do hope that it does have expansion packs available like Looney Tunes and Batman were available for the first! Must say, I am a huge fan of this series and I'm really not playing much else lately aside from both of these! Awesome video, and thank you so much for sharing it! I hope people will enjoy this one as much as I do!
I would love to see the Kyle petty hot wheels car added to the game
They need to return even more of the classic icons from the 80s, 90s & 00s, especially the ones that were discontinued (Road Rocket, RADAR Ranger, Shadow Jet, Shadow Jet II, Gulch Stepper, etc.)
Had several problems with the og game.
-The camera while in midair stays behind the car instead of looking in the direction your are moving.
-The AI difficulty is super lame, the "difficulty" came from stats instead of better driving.
-Multiplayer lobbies were super restrictive on what you could play and how you could play it.
-Color options in the editor is super limited.
-Paid DLC content/Editor tools. Im okay with paid cars but environments and editor objects was cringe.
-Player created content was cumbersome to search for when you want something specific.
-Battlepasses suck.
-Levels quickly started to feel too similar to each other. No official track really stood out.
The game wasnt bad, but many improvements can be made. I hope they can address some of these problems
-Valid,although I'd like to note that you can reset the camera to follow your car's direction in the air by quickly looking back twice.
-The AI in this sequel are harder,as they actively try to take you out with the side-straffing mechanic.

-I'd just like to add that the DLC choices were mostly really bad.Luckily they revealed the roadmap for this game already and it looks way better than the 1st game's DLC roadmap.

@@oxideX97 Track objects have restricted colors and it reinforces the issue of all tracks feeling the same. They're all orange/blue/yellow/gray/red and nothing else. Only official colors from Hotwheels track sets allowed. Lame.
Also the side strafing is gonna make this AI worse. It's an unreactable mechanic. Now the hardest AI can have busted stats AND a way to knock you off-track. I played the whole game at the hardest difficulty, it's only hard because AI can boost a million times and have higher speeds than most cars that aren't legendary. Their difficulty should come from their skill.
Also noting that the camera rotating with the car in midair is ultra disorientating. The camera should never roll, only pitch and yaw in the air.
I Loved the first game and played it endlessly. I'm really looking forward to this one as well. Still the best example of arcade style brake to drift mechanics out there.
Just got the deluxe edition on sale I wish ppl played it. I have been enjoying it when I have downtime at work tho it's a pretty fun game.

I played the first one for a year multiplayer very mutch.
Second game I barely touched. And I don't know why. Maybe I played hot wheels to mutch.
The original teaser trailer for Hotwheels Unleashed gave the impression the visuals were going to be hyper-photorealistic. In this instance, the game was a major letdown. Play was fun for a while, but the lack of content and the endless supply of paid-for DLC made the purchase rather sour for me. I won't be bothering this time round.

And that's the damn issue. 70 bucks for a glorified expansion pack.
I will wait for the Complete Edition to hit Gamepass, same as I did with the First Game.

Sooo much potential for a hot wheels game but the first one was a letdown with ridiculous difficulty and loot boxes… hope this one is better but its a no from me. Still sour from the first one
This one has no loot boxes, and much easier difficulty. There's also lots of physics improvements and QoL added too

@@kriskater Yup, the only thing remotely similar to loot boxes is the Hot Wheels Spin feature, which is just a lottery wheel that can give bonus money or free cars, however, they're not important and the shop is constantly updated, if you progress in the game enough, you can get 20+ cars in the shop at any given moment.
Can you add AI bots in multiplayer?
The physics felt terrible to me in the first one. Doubt they've improved.
They have improved them massively, the cars feel more weighty and controllable.
