You can throw off the spider by quickly changing directions as you approach it. There will be many times the track is already littered with webs though, in which case it's hard to turn at all. It's good to know that boosts don't help escape them, as I have been wasting mine.
I think boosting whilst caught in a spider web will be the most common mistake people make when playing this game!

Can’t begin to say how addictive this game has been! It’s actually taken me away from Cod MW2! Really enjoyable as a family game. My kids are all in meaning we have a great little game that all the family can play. I’ve been teaching the kids that it’s not all about mashing buttons but that there is a racing line that you can catch. Letting go of accelerator has been a big lesson to them taking them out the trenches and back on the map!

Dont wast your money
The spider misses because it aims a short distance infront of your car. So if you are in firing range and your car is pointed in a direction to drive off the edge of the track, the spider misses the track entirely.

its also nice to know you can save a missed jump with a boost
Thanks. I quit playing video games for years, and even when I did play them, I almost never played racing games (GTA is the closest). I picked up Hot Wheels Unleashed recently and these tips helped me out greatly.

Got a PS5 last week with Hogwarts Legacy, which I was excited about,but I've spent all my time playing Hotwheels. What a cracking and addictive game!
One of the things I found to improve drifting around corners is to pump the throttle while doing so.

Hopefully, I like this game howhever it misses some stuff, also imo how later I get in the game the longer the tracks are.. they are to long imo...
@@XboxgamerZ I like the longer tracks, they get more creative as you go! Can’t wait to try some custom made tracks after I beat the career
the game is surprisingly well made.
there are some flaws but its not that big issue for me, for example, the extreme difficulty is RIDICULOUSLY hard, its seems impossible, like.. the opponents just catch you with their boost that never ends, maybe if that's rubberband.. i want to know what is going on with this difficulty, even hard is so hard but possible to win.
also i noticed that i keep hitting the walls a lot for some reason even if i am careful and braked, i even found that in lots of players, hitting the wall is really bad for some cars that act weird with physics

beware the try hards, i'm grinding for coins and win a lot of the time, have run into some salty people online lol if you do the time trials without shortcuts it will set you up for racing online, i'm on autopilot with the grinding.
With this game recently(well recently for me on Xbox ultimate being available) coming out, I've learned that the cars in general benefit from oversteering more than you think a turn will be. Your boost is strong enough to defy gravity like you are playing rocket league so don't freely go crazy with your boost until you know where you can abuse your boost the best and where it's best to use up.
Just got this game and these tipps really come in handy, thank you!! Only question remaining is if there‘s an incentive to actually use the great variety of funny little cars once you found one that‘s super good. I found myself playing with the same supercar all the time now which is kind of a bummer.
I found out that the spider may over shoot when on the side but I found out that coming at it and boosting so u come at it in a diagonal works well too
Thank you. It's better than playing a game that doesn't explain anything other than how to throttle and turn. Presumably, in terms of efficiency, what percentage is worse than a touch-barrier turn instead of a perfect drift?

i disagree, youll hit purple boost a lot more at starting lines if you time it right before 2 comes up, not right as 3 goes away. youll get green doing that
Nah just tap fast enough and you'll get purple every time

As a guy who sadly doesn't have this game, I was caught completely off guard when you set the car on fire.
So I just got the game(I know late) but something I’ve always struggled about with cornering is do I let go of the gas when I break into a turn and do I hold the break when I’m in the middle of turn??

Any way of undoing the upgrade?
Video is good but 2 things are false. 1. Racing start: if you hit accelerate at nr2 countdown you get more boost. 2. The barricades have normal a hitbox and in your video when you slow it down you can see that you hit it.
Your timer doesn't start until you cross the start line. Do you still win if you come in "second" but have a faster time?
Your finishing position in races is entirely determined by the order in which you cross the line at the end of the race. Lap times during races are pretty much irrelevant.
Man I resonate so much with "Steaming helix of complete bullshit". Picked the game up the other day and that fucken volcano is the worst thing for time trials.
There's a thing about the boost pads that should be mentioned: DON'T BOOST RIGHT BEFORE IT. Especially with the burst one, because it will eat it up, no matter where you were at it. If you boosted a second or two earlier than it, then it would transition into the boost pad smoothly. If you didn't, then you might've wasted half or even all of that boost.
This doesn't apply for the stream boost lol

Driving technique and finding shortcuts is arguably more important than car stats, that might be why!

any ideas why i cant sell some of my collection?
The cars you get from the three boxes you get at the beginning of the game (plus specific reward cars from the City Rumble mode) can't be sold. Anything else you unbox you can sell/dismantle. 🙂 - Rich
First three you cant sell.
Some cars are rewarded so you can pass certain secret missions with them, thus cant be sold or you wont advance
Boosting when in the air above the purple/pink boost pads isn't really a tip. How can I even really chose that?
If you are mid flight, you can aim to car for the boost pads before you have landed and still gain an advantage from this 😊
Isn't the green better for the spamming start?

Here's something I do not understand! All cars can have the super treasure hunt rarity? Or are they only a fixed bunch of them? And why the ones who have common/rare/legendary rarity that CAN have custom liveries, in their STH rarity they CANNOT? Their stats are better for sure but I don't get why they need to be in their default livery
Does this have actual stunts and tricks like hot wheels turbo? If not i do not understand why the big hype over an over priced game, especially ultimate stunt edition, but no stunts..smh
I guess you could say it does if you count the mid air rotations and shortcuts, but no specific 'stunts' as such. It's still great fun as a racer though!
the main stunt is flying the car with boost on some weird user created tracks in online lobbies lol there has been a few where it was the best option.
You can do spins and occasionally flips depending on how much air time you get but there is no in game reward for doing so. The game is mainly about racing and customizing. I'm currently setting up an invisible racing course with invisible checkpoints. Kind of like a special puzzle race where you have to find the checkpoints before going to the finish line.

Does anyone else have as much issue as I do keep in the damn car going straight I mean my car is always weaving left and right because I can't get it to go straight and always having to correct myself. I actually ended up having to quit the game when they started taking away the guardrails and making you drive on narrow pieces of wood because of all the racing games I play this is the only one I can't keep the car straight
Sounds like you may have drift on your analog joystick. I have it bad on my PS4, but my PS5 is fine.
@@bendosia that is very much a possible the switch is notorious for drift and I did have my joy cons repaird for drift not long ago. So I might need to test them out again and see if that's the issue.
The best tip is pick shorter tracks for afk gold grind.

Tip #1. Join a multi-player lobby, put your controller down and leave your home for 8 hours. When you come back you'll have anywhere between 3,000 to 5,000 free coins for sitting AFK for 8 hours 🤣 I have over 380,000 coins ready to go and have every vehicle so far lol 😆
That not work anymore now u have finish at least one lap in circuit or whole tack in course also that is a tip on being a jerk cause back when lots of players were doing that people had to dodge the car and if they hit u coming around could cost them there position permanently

Worse than gta definitive edition, what kind of stupid design is that unwanted dismantle button. Can't restore unwanted dismantle. Waste of money.
