This was such fun to watch and so relaxing and I felt as if I was there with you. Being from đżđŠ Iâm not used to snow and this was one of my best exposures to snow. So good having someone else filming that you were together in the video. Nice to see you both relaxed and being silly and enjoying it.

If you have any trees or shrubs that are bending because of the snow, just use a broom to tap off the extra snow. It won't hurt the trees and shrubs. One time, I was at my grandparents house which was on a golf course, and outside on the course was a pretty big tree with long limbs that were way pulled down because of the snow. I went out and tapped off the snow and it was amazing to see the branches go "boing"!. The branches flew back up to where they were supposed to be, and I could swear that I heard the tree say "thanks!
I love the contrasts within these two guys. Their maturity with their beautiful horses mixed in with their fun boyish behaviour in the snow. They have combine both to produce a lovely fun video.

Oh I used to love putting our ponies out after heavy snow. We watched them roll and play for ages. Our field had a steep hill and the ponies loved careering down it. Especially our wee miniature Shetland. Thankyou for the memories and it was great fun watching all the horses. Brilliant!

I remember this one winter here in Finland, it was -30c to -35c outside and windy. We had to keep all 30 horses inside for 3 days! The horses were CRAZY the day they finally got out đ
I appreciate what you are saying!! Hi from Canada! Ours live outside, with run in stables, 24/7 and it gets quite cold. They are all rugged, with older horses often wearing two blankets. We have a barn and bring in very elderly horses nightly, but the rest...just like yours! They must come into the arena if it's too cold and they hate it! They aren't clipped of course.
In England our horses were in for weeks due to constant torrential rain causing flooding then after one nice day snow storms with rock solid ice everywhere. It was awful but a huge relief when we got them out. I'm at a livery so can only turn out when the yard owner says so.
Bear and macho are so cute with their little Shetland type trots on the snow. Anyone notice that Bears tail was dragging in the snow?
the only difference is that Macho is a Shetland looking like a Shetland, and Bear is a Shetland looking like a miniature version of an Andalusian dressage stallion, but they are both soooo cute

How wonderful to see!! I didnât know you didnât get that much snow. Thatâs what we call normal for my area. Weâve had -25C temps, colder with windchills, but the horses are fine-used to it and love running around in the snow. Itâs gorgeous in the sun too :) And for the record, I rarely turn out horses with gloves because I canât get gates open/shut or leads on/off. I need my fingers :D

Watching this from Northern Canada and being amused. FYI guys, snow gets old fast if you wanna call that little sprinkle you got snow LOL. Oh and Polar Vortex going on so temps feel like -40c today.

Yes ofcourse, you're from Canada. There's no comparison. In the Netherlands this amount of snow is quite rare and no one really knows what to do with this amount of snow or has the tools. So for us, this definitely was a special week. It has been snowing in other places where there's barely been any snow before :) Our weather by the way is usually cloudy and rainy all year round.
Well yeah you're from Canada. For you that's normal. But the last time we in middle Europe ( I'm from Germany) had snow at all that lasted more than 2 days was about 10 years ago. And even than it wasn't as cold as now. So we have not really an idea how to deal with that. We kind of have some tools but not enough of them and not enough knowledge. So this snow storm had a huge impact at our daily life. Cars and trains mostly couldn't be used and people couldn't really leave their houses to anything that's further away than a walking distance. And the kids could ride sleighs. For most of them the first time in their life as the last snow was about 10 years ago. And even the adults enjoied the first snow in 10 years with huge and long walks through the snow and this winter wonderland. So please don't be that arrogant about the weather at your place. As you might know the climate and with that the daily weather is rather different depending on where you are in the world. And the people here mostly know snow from storys or when they were some place for winter holidays or from theire memorys from 10 years and more ago. I hope I kind of made my point understandable. As I said I'm from Germany and learned English just in school as a second language. So I apologise for any mistakes I might have made. :) Have a good day

In 2009 we had a foot (is about 30 centimetres) more snow than this time but this snow storm had a lot of wind and it snowed for over 18 hours, something that is rarely in NL. In 2009 we had more snow in a short time and a couple of days with snowfall off and on.
But nevertheless, finally having snow is super fun because not only children grab their sleds but also animals go crazy with snow đ okay not all but that goes for everybody, each has their favourites đ
But I had the time of my life! And it all looked stunning for days on end this time because it stayed white due to some good frost!
