- 48 Hours With Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra - SCARY! My official unboxing of the Global / English version Mi 11 Ultra, and review so far after a couple of days! Detailed, real-world everyday use, first impressions, not just specs! How good is the 50MP triple camera setup, and 5000 mAh battery capacity and its screen on-time performance? Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, 12GB Ram UFS 3.1 storage and a 120Hz QHD+ refresh rate Amoled display make this phone a true beast when it comes to hardware! But what about software? Mi UI 12.5 has just launched, and I go over the new features, but this out the box comes with 12.0.3. (Update coming very soon). Amazing phone, and possibly the best all-around smartphone 2021 so far, but the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra price is high, so how much better is it vs the Mi 11 or Mi 11 Pro? I personally love a phone that has a gimmick to it that draws peoples attention. That's why I fell in love with the pop up camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro. Now this seems like a phone that I would want to replace it with.

Great review, but how about mentioning the IR blaster? It's nice to know how this phone and the Samsung are so much alike, however if only ONE of them can replace all the remotes on your coffee table as well, that'd be nice to know I think.

What’s the wireless display connectivity like? Can you wirelessly connect it to your TV to show photos/videos etc? How is the fingerprint scanner? I’ve seen some reviews where they said the fingerprint scanner was a bit poor. What software does it use for syncing with the cloud? I.e. syncing photos to your computer etc.

Great video as always. What a beast! How are they for keeping up to date with the latest Android version? It's becoming that Not "When is a phone a phone " but "When is a camera a phone" Unbelievable specs on phones now and it's all you need now for a computer a phone a TV and a camera all in one. We will all be wearing glasses as that's all we will have in the future and our eyes won't cope haha 😉
I've always liked Xiaomi phones, MIUI included!, but one of the reasons was the high quality at the lower end of the price range for handsets. I totally get what you mean about phones these days being your main computer, however, and don't judge others for buying the premium handsets if they want. I think that I'd be hard pushed to justify buying this even though the cameras look amazing. It's 'just' another rectangle slab of gadget. The new Mi Mix though, now that intrigues...

*A U D I O* I really wish reviewers would cover the one thing that makes us walk away from a video 'BAD AUDIO' and for years Xiaomi has had a horrible compression on their audio making them unusable for recording live music.
Musicians (and trust me there are a LOT of us out there) will go for Apple or Samsung just for the clear rich audio recording
I prefer the white version because no fingerprints. Also, they said they'll add portrait and video mode on the rear screen, so it's coming. In photo, some youtubers like SuperSaf or MrWhostheboss found that the Mi 11 Ultra underexposed shots compared to other phones, this is just a firmware problem. The issue comes from the Auto HDR mode, you need to force HDR to get normal shots. It's solved in future software updates, it's already not happening anymore in the China ROM that is few software updates ahead
In China, we will push the firmware of DxOMark by the end of April
Hopefully this is indeed the case, the underexposing issue did make me cautious about wanting to buy it
@@govardhanposina17 It's not happening in China anymore. The global variant is on pre-release software, MIUI 12.0.3.0, while they have MIUI 12.0.9.0 in China already!

Exactly... So expensive.. yes it's an awesome phone, but I can't afford it either, I don't know about salaries where you come from, in the Netherlands it would be one net salary, and I live in Spain, here it would be 1 and a half net salary...

If it had a better selfie camera, and better software with less bloat ware … I hope Android based mobiles adapt a software to limit or make surfing and using mobiles more safer and crispier , I see Xiaomi is a direct rival to Samsung Galaxy S 21 Ultra, now if you can do a direct comparison that would be neat. You said that instead of using the second screen for selfies, they should have made the front camera better.
I think they should have used the rear screen to allow for selfies with the back camera and done away with the front camera all together. That way they could have offered an uninterrupted main screen.

Not all of us need that capability, nor care much about taking selfies. I would much rather have a phone with an uninterrupted screen. I loved my OnePlus 7 Pro, but it was damaged beyond repair in a motorcycle accident.
The options for those who want or need a front facing camera are many. The options for people like me are all but non-existent.

It's an amazing phone, one of the best actually, at least in my opinion. Unfortunately, i can't afford for it, it's very expensive and I'm out of money. I can afford to get only phones around 340 dollars or less than that
And these days those kind of phones are all you need. I'm still using lonovo k5 pro it had some problems later on as I let my cache fill up. Deleted all files in catch after about 2 years of use and now my phone feels like new. No need to buy a new flagship.

It will probably be four months before you can buy one in the UK. Still no Poco F3/X3 Pro/Redmi Note 10 here yet. Xiaomi release their handsets in Zimbabwe now before the UK

Yeah the expensive phone with so much problems, i own one and regret purchasing it because easily become very hot even just using camera for 1 min, battery drain, low internet reception, noise in low light picture and video. Overall it will be good phone if the price is cheaper, but at this price, definitely not worth it
