i was at that concert 15 years old. No words can express how magical it as. I remember the August evening was warm and the
stars were out. You could cut the air with a knife. The audience and the Beatles were on fire.
Was lucky to see them in 65 both nights and 66.

This is why Lennon had the best voice in the Beatles. He could sing this like no other and then go sing A Day in the Life or In My Life. His singing voice was truly incredible.

so this can't be a parameter to establish who was the best singer in the band
and in the end its just personal taste, anyway just love the beatles..stop trynna figure out who was the best, they were fab together.
Well you might prefer the sound of Johns voice over the others, but Paul's singing had far more range.

Yes. In 1966 we played their records. We lived in the bush in Australia. These songs bring back memories of when the world was simpler.
Lennon! Gotta love that high pitched rock tenor voice! Harmonies, guitars, drums, excitement all there. Fabulous with no monitors & a sound system much inferior than today even through the Hollywood Bowl system in 64 & 65 was not bad & better than 98 % of the other venues where they played in those years.

John Lennon's voice can be powerfully raw, like here, and can be deeply sweet and intimate. He could sing everything. I'll never understand why he didn't like his voice.

This 1964 version was not included on the album. The 1965 version was used.

i have been collecting Beatle films for over 45 years I do have many rare finds but whoever re-cleaned and colorized most of the concert was thrown out and just wasn't important to the studio who made it sadly. that's what makes this remaster very important and unique. this was a true fan and digital art genius this is the best I have seen ever. thx for the video.I would rate this AAA ++

@@mathieuschuler366 The Hollywood bowl concert is more on the common side of things, one of the least common is a 4 min home movie of the Hammersmith Odeon in December 1965

Since Capitol decided to record the Hollywood Bowl concerts, they should have filmed the entire shows as well. This is great footage, definitely not an amateur job..

I was living in North Hollywood when they played the Bowl. I was 12 years old and a huge Beatles fan. I wanted to go but my mother wouldn't let me. She said I was too young.
I wasn't even born then! :O
I was 8 yrs old when they came to San Diego, my friend & her two older brothers were going to the concert, I was invited to go but my dad said no way , darn the bad luck !!! , John was my favorite, & he got shot on my birthday, 12/ 08 / 1980 , I’ll never forget. 😞

I love the Hollywood bowl. I went to a festival there last year to see Lizzo, Billie eilish, Taylor swift, Camila cabello, etc. and though the music has changed, the seating is original and the stage is just how it used to be. It’s amazing
