The absolute magical sizzle of Lennon and McCartney performing on stage and singing together. I don't think anything could ever top that. Most bands have one frontman. They had two equally towering talents as frontmen - both brilliant, both songwriters, both magnificent performers in their own right.
The Cars band also had two frontmen taking turns singing lead with rhythm guitarist Ric Ocasek & bassist Benjamin Orr. Ric was always the principal songwriter though, they’re a fantastic band too. Lots of people think/thought that Ric sang lead all the time, nope, the major-hottie-man Ben Orr shared that title and Ric was quoted as saying “he gave the “best” songs to Ben.” I love bands with two dual lead singers and LOVE the Beatles!
Singing the harmonies into a single Mic was real showmanship. It made for really good staging. All those thousands of hours that they spent playing in the clubs in Hamburg made it flow.

The Ticket To Ride performance is beyond unbelievable - John's vocal and then with Paul's added harmony is magic - no other act in my lifetime has topped this.
The version they do on Ed Sullivan rocks harder - little slower and meaner. They do the R-n-B middle 8 so tight the first time Macca cracks a smile and John beams like "we nailed that". Check it out. But I agree with you. Now, I wonder why they NEVER successfully sang I Feel Fine correctly without John and Paul-George I'm/She on top of each other - even on the record they mess it up, lol so funny. 🎸

Seeing John and Paul singing together on Ticket to Ride might be one of the greatest clips we have from their entire career. This band really was so fk'n cool.
The Beatles that changed the sound of music 🎵 because when they appeared on the music scene music wouldn’t be the same. The 60’s didn’t actually start until the Beatles appeared on the music scene. They actually defined the 60’s as soon as they would play their music because their music 🎶 was considered out of this time. Their concerts were spectacular and always sold out and the 1st Rock group to play in stadiums and the 1st group to be known as a Super group. Not only were they controversial but were the envy of other entertainers. The Beatles were a group that was meant to be and there won’t be a group like them. This music 🎼 clip is actually wonderful and more will be found and pulled out of the vaults to be shared with others. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I remember waking up with the mumps aka parotitis as a little girl, too. On Christmas Day bummer !! Glad for the vaccine - so kids today don’t get the virus, anymore.
So good to see live footage from what was arguably their greatest two years of song production, 64-65; the double-A single "Day Tripper / We Can Work It Out" also came out at that time.
I love the fact that all these other bands were coming through seen as more rebellious and wild but in truth the Beatles were harder and wilder than them all and gone through Hamburg which was the most important thing in there whole career. They had seen and done things other bands were just experiencing

Such an influence on my life made me fall in love with guitar and have a blast playing music 55 years.
How John can sing that well without swallowing his chewing gum is beyond me.

It helps with saliva production, Greg Lake of ELP did it all the time.

@@thomasfoss9963 They are AKG D19s. Sounds better than the Shures in every way, but they are not as solid. Extremely easy to break the coil wire, and it is virtually unrepairable. In the studio they used them for Ringo’s drums on most of the records (much more than the more famous ST&C/Coles 4038)
@@hepphepps8356 Gotcha-- Thanks for the technical info-- We are still using the SM57s and 58s--
@@thomasfoss9963 It is a reason those won out, they absolutely sound decent, can be used as a hammer, is cheap and has great markering;-)
Ringo's smile is just angelic
Paul's vocal on Long Tall Sally: FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!
Just so sad we couldn't have seen tape like this back in 65 when we were 13. Living in flyover country, all we had was daily newspaper and 3 tv channels. Always scoured all for any news of the beatles...entire family sat and watched ed sullivan on sun nt to see if they might be on!!
Nice! Looks fantastic, thanks for sharing this BeatleAlex!
What a treat, enjoyed every flippin' minute. Thanks so much for putting this up!
Paul, Paul, Paul...aww, I love all the Beatles truly...the very best❣️🪄🎶 Awesome memories❣️🌹🌹🌹🌹🐞❤️🫂😘
thanks a lot awesome Beatles and sound
Thanks so much for this.
😢what is the fantastic video this one have a wonderful weekend also Saturday is my friends birthday also my friend likes the beatles also may the fourth be with you ❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😊😊😊😊😊😊
What a fantastic tape! Great stuff from the lads...
I love Ringo , best rock drummer ever, he played what was needed and did it with swing like Charlie Watts
🥰John could play, sing, and chew gum at the same time. Spectacular!
Macca, ripping "Long Tall Sally" and able to sing songs as tender as "Yesterday"...talk about one of the greatest vocalists in rock history.
Their live performance were so good, considering the small equipment they had at that time! Great musicians 👍My favorite band forever ❤️🎶
That was great. Thanks so much for posting. I realize the limitations of live recording back in the day but I really missed the drums. Ringo's rythms were fantastic. 🎸🥁🎶
Still love these guys iam 73 love ❤️ there music and watch the videos
My 7 year old granddaughter loves the Beatles! (Smart kid!) When I think back to my first after school job at a small music store in 1974, the owner offered to sell me a red 1965 Rickenbacker 365. I didn't want it because it was "old".😖 🙄I was a freshman in high school and didn't know any better. I did end up buying a 76 Les Paul.
Hey there, how are you doing?
Seeing John and Paul singing together on Ticket to Ride might be one of the greatest clips we have from their entire career. This band really was so fk'n cool.
Paul was a showman... still is. He really hammed it up
John chewing gum and belting out ‘ticket to ride’ might be the coolest thing I’ve ever done.
Muchas gracias por compartir
De nada 😊
thanks, its wonderfull listen those songs so clear.
April 11 was Palm Sunday in 1965. I had the mumps right at that time!
Hey there, how are you doing?
I remember waking up with the mumps aka parotitis as a little girl, too.
On Christmas Day bummer !!
Glad for the vaccine - so kids today don’t get the virus, anymore.
@@KittyGrizGriz I had 'em all: measles, German measles, chickenpox and mumps. Got vaccinated against shingles last year.
This is some amazing footage!
So good to see live footage from what was arguably their greatest two years of song production, 64-65; the double-A single "Day Tripper / We Can Work It Out" also came out at that time.
Glad John sound checked his microphone, Paul and George should have done the same with their mic! Still, great performance. The fans were loving it! 😎
I love the fact that all these other bands were coming through seen as more rebellious and wild but in truth the Beatles were harder and wilder than them all and gone through Hamburg which was the most important thing in there whole career. They had seen and done things other bands were just experiencing
I was 14 years old. 4 Track music. Fantastic.
What? No encore?! Allow me to join in the love fest of adoration for these four incredible human beings. What was so great about THIS footage too was that the screaming was canceled out and you could actually hear THEM! I've always wanted the experience of seeing the Beatles perform live and this was by far the closest it's ever come. Thank you for sharing this BeatleAlex!
The smile at the beginning. That dude knows he's making money
My absolute favorite movie scene playing Long tall Sally was original Predator movie when the special ops guys were in the helicopter en route to drop zone ,that was so badass
The harmonies are insane. They probably couldn’t hear each other at all. Amazing.
I'm 71 years old and I still get inyo them as much as I did then. They gave us rock 'n roll, no one else did. Including that jealous elvis.
I remember the good old days
Jeez, this is TOP! Cheers, thanks.
April 11th, 1965.
Úžasný koncert ❤ Ale hrozně krátký 😀 Já se divím,jak mohli žvýkat a u toho zpívat 😅
Fairly clean sound compared to the other recording of the concert
That's the day my life changed forever❤❤❤❤
I can´t believe the cameraman stayed on Harrison while Lennon took the first solo on Long Tall Sally. I've never once heard John solo on that song, and that bloody cameraman made me miss it.
Lennon didn’t sing it. Paul Mccartney sings it so therefore check it at the end of show.
@@stevemorris6790:
If your response is to me, I was referring to the two guitar solos not who was singing it.
Yeah. “Where’s that other guitar coming from?”
@@artysanmobile:
The song I´m referring to , (Long Tall Sally) at 13:30, has two solos, in this particular performance Lennon takes the first solo @ 14:03 - 14:20, and Harrison takes the second from 14:36 onward. I don't know what your ¨other guitar¨ youre talking about.
Well, we did hear it.
