Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a 2013 action-adventure game, and the sixth main installment in the Assassin's Creed series. A sequel to 2012's Assassin's Creed III, the game will see the player take on the role of an Abstergo Entertainment research analyst as they explore the story of Edward Kenway -- father to Haytham Kenway, grandfather to Ratonhnhaké:ton and an ancestor of Desmond Miles.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be set primarily on and around the islands in the Caribbean Sea during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century, with the three major cities consisting of Havana, Nassau and Kingston.

Level 60 Man o' War, and level 36 frigate hunters are very easy to defeat once you have all elite.
i only use the normal round shot to take out these ships no mortar no ram no fire barrel no chain shot no heavy shot only broadside roundshot

I used to fear full notoriety now I just float around of full notoriety sending pirate hunters to the bottom. After all I fucking destroyed all the legendaries and they are hella harder to kill than the pirate hunters

Sam If you want to take a real challenge of defeating a ship, then try to defeat Storm Fortress (last Legendary Ship) in AC Rogue. It took me like 20 tries to defeat it.
Faizan Ali I defeat that, and it took me 3 tries, the last try I used someone's strategy on youtube, which was go in front of the ship, and burning oil everywhere. And after that just use mortars and heavy shots

Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag by far (in my opinion) the best assassins creed game ever.
if you fast-travel to the New Bone viewpoint there is a level 60 spanish man o' war anchored next to your jackdaw, so just swim to it, kill everyone, destroy the flag, shoot a cannon at it, board it, send it to your fleet

Imagine what level we could have if they allowed us a Man 'O War, it would be practically invincible, God knows how many cannons, rear cannons instead of those shitty fire barrels. It would be so much better, and more fun. Knowing that every time a ship goes into battle with yours, the crew will take the opportunity to pray to God, and even the Legendary Ship crew would shit their pants!
I found fire barrels quite useful, especially if you're fighting brigs or El Impoluto.
And a having a man o war is too OP and boring. Remember how you used Black Bart's ship? Total death and destruction.
the only real reason legendary ships are legendary is because some how they're able to accelerate fast as he'll with that big ass ship that has tons of metal on it.

I know right, they should have allowed us that in black flag to be honest the game would feel better, the only reason they did not do it was because our ship would feel very slow.
man o' wars get easy quickly after you fully upgrade your Jackdaw, just wished that they make them close to Legendary ship levels when you reach full wanted level. That would make most players more scared when ignoring the consequences of simply attacking every single ship they see... XP

A few mortar shots from a mile away disables them easily.
Now if you reach full wanted level and the game makes it so to make 3 to 5 man-o-wars go after you then that would be sweet.

it was really fun to do it with a fully upgraded jackdaw, but as i said, too much set up required.

that should've been the name. as much as I loved it but the game harassed the assassins. the way the first assassin fled & got killed by kenway was pathetic. kenway & Spanish soldiers killed the assassins like dogs in Havana which was stupid.

Just jump of your ship before combat starts swim over kill the 20 people including scouts and captain. Now it is disabled, swim back to your ship, fire 1 salvo and it is ready to board without needing a fight.

The Romuluan Hunter And it was even a frigate. The similarities are too striking for it to not be on purpose.
I've noticed a great many TV & movie references in Black Flag. Whether or not it's intentional is up for debate. However, I can give you a good example. I specifically opened the last dock in the fleet mini-game, so that I wouldn't lose a ship called, wait for it, the Enterprise.

What a great game this was i played it multiple times.
Filled up my entire fleet with these. I don't even care that they're slow. Having an entire fleet of lvl 60 ships just felt good.

Honestly as you can see the only way he had gotten pass the ships were by having a high armored ship, also by only using blow darts, guns, surprise pushes of the edge of the platform for the scouts and knowing his way around things. Also by his crew taking out 17 while he takes out 3 by guns and 1 by using a blow dart on the second ship.
It's called strategy there is no being cheap in war or battle its kill or be killed.

Something interesting that I have found out: When a pirate hunter ship is approaching (keep in mind, I have only tested this with the level 17 Pirate Hunter Brig) when you let go of the wheel the hunter ship will stop, now do that at a distance of maybe between 450 and 150 meters and then jump into the water and swim to the ship, board it and take out the crew then swim back to the Jackdaw. I am hoping to test this with the Man O' Wars, which for some reason look a lot like the 1st-Rate Ship of the Line. The one 1st-Rate that comes to my mind is the HMS Victory.
Edit: The Legendary Ship the HMS Sovereign of tge Sea, is a 1st-Rate, the one that spawns in with it, I don't know.
Edit 2: I do have a question: How do you get them to appear? Or what wanted level do you need to get them to appear?
You mean those Level 60 Man o'War Pirate Hunters?
You have to have Level 4 Wanted level.
After that you'll see a Frigate Level 38 and a Man o'War Level 60 at the same time.

This is how I formed my fleet :3
Step 1: complete the campaign
Step 2: get the jackdaw maxed out and give Edward the most deadly swords and guns
Step 3: get a boss outfit :3
Step 4: get full notoriety
Step 5: wait
Over the time of two days with the pistol swords, gold guns, Mayan outfit, and maxed out jackdaw, I had an entire fleet of level 60 man o' wars
Believe me, they can take a hit :D

And the Jackdaw with the majority of upgrades Elite.

+Neyen Squid Aka Neyen Even when doing story missions when following another ship and a pirate hunter gets close enough you forced to shoot back which the ship you are following has detected you and failed the mission. That really is annoying when you are doing stealth missions on a ship.
