- Desert C.A.M. Studios presents the late Trini Lopez live at Cal State University. Captured by filmmaker Chip Miller, who also directed Trini's only official music video for his single, "Fly Like An Eagle." Trini casually talked about his life and then treated the audience to acoustic versions of some of his classic hits. Presented in a simple, clean unedited approach, Miller gives the viewer the sense of being in the theater experiencing Trini live. It was a magical evening. Trini demonstrated all his musical and singing chops and seemed as good as he was in his prime. Trini joined a PBS-TV All-Star special celebration for The Kingston Trio along with Timothy B. Schmit of The Eagles, Al Jardine of The Beach Boys, Barry McGuire (The New Christy Minstrels), The Limeliters, Josh Reynolds (son of Trio's late Nick Reynolds), Henry Diltz (The Modern Folk Quartet), and Shari Belafonte, along with a rare appearance by Trio co-founder, the legendary late Bob Shane. Sadly, both Trini and Shane passed away from COVID-19 in 2020.

I am really very sad every time i will see my IDOL FOREVER in this video as a guest in this university and broke my heart ❤️ seeing him singing, strumming his guitar and i felt he was having a hard time singing while playing his guitar, honestly i cried seeing him the big difference before and now while watching this video, but i just realized that he's already 80 years old, but still i can't help to download this to hear his stories about himself!!! 🙏

I just learnt that Trini was no more with us thanks to COVID 19 in 2020 aged 83.Quite a shock for me as I always enjoyed his music . He was an amazing showmen . Never seen any film of him until today So sad .RIP Trini and thanks for the beautiful music. I hope they have planted a beautiful lemon tree to honour your fantastic career. The same to me... I was searching "IF I HAD A HAMMER" today, in the afternoon, when I found the video I was looking for, and, also a comment, that he is not among us any more, because COVID-19 took him away from us... I wish he is now making beautiful music together with God and all the Angels around. I liked Trini already when I was a girl, I loved to hear the HIT-PARADE from radio with his beautiful and happy songs.

I was planning to go with my sister to palm spring and watch him perform at the club he always performed at. Now those dreams are gone.
My mother bought his album, and fell in love with all his song. But my all time favorite was Sad Tomorrows... Please listen to it all you fans. It's amazing It on CZcams. RIP TRINI LOPEZ.
