Well, For those wondering "why does it sound like a Modern V6 instead of a V12?" the McLaren MP4/4 uses a Honda Turbocharged V6 engine, the MP4/6 does use a V12 engine, different from the MP4/4, man this car is a Beast!

I think this game needs a more modern F1 car, like call it "Formula Gran Turismo Hybrid" and model it after any F1 hybrid car from the second half of the 2010's.

I had to put on the Senna film soundtrack (preferrably the track Hunt) before testing this car in Interlagos myself. Maybe i should've tried doing a lap while stuck in 6th gear as well.

The MP4/4 is actually a good proof that V6 F1 cars can sound exciting. The only problem with the modern V6 hybrid F1 cars is that the sound is so muffled that it is just too quiet for a 1000BHP monster.

in person they are LOUD AS FUCK. the acceleration notes, the downshifts, everything sounds like a pod racer. they scream, but not in a deafening way.

@@rjo78 Spa would be a nice race for 1.5 an hours if it wouldn't be for the weak AI. Basically I drive alone after 10 laps on hard.
It could still be unpredictable because of the weather.
The safest is at Sardegna track with the Clk gtr, Mclaren bmw LT., Mazda 787b tunned at 800😉

The hard part is the AI being dumb and slow in some sections

I took it for a lap of High Speed Ring and lapped just as fast as the Super Formula SF19! It’s crazy fast for a late 1980s Formula car!

@@altuvesbuzzer5822 I hope we understand each other. These F1 cars did not yet have a shift paddles on the steering wheel, but the shift was manual. It is clear that during gear shifting it is necessary to take your hand off the steering wheel and engage a higher gear. It's a detail, but in reality probably difficult to implement in corners especially without power steering. And now more specifically. In the video from 5:10 you can see how it is in the game with the animation of the hands. The driver starts shifting into a higher gear and the hand is still on the gear lever even after changing the gear, even into the corner, and on the video you can clearly see what I mean several times. I simply think that it should be the case that after changing gear, the steering wheel is held with both hands, on a level course the driver can do it with one hand as well. Literally. This is nothing against you, in my opinion it is just a small but important detail as it should be done correctly. for sure the 1989 car had that dash but with a bigger LCD screen. I assume the 1988 car did as well.
