Jamie Lee Curtis is one of the most beautiful women on the planet and I don’t just mean her looks. The fact that she hasn’t been afraid to age gracefully, that she shows off her wrinkles with pride, that she doesn’t dye her hair (apart from movie roles), the fact that she 10000000000% loves her family and is supportive of her trans daughter Ruby is inspiring. I just wish more people would take the time to stop and talk to LGBTQ people and listen to what they have to say without judgement and condemnation!

Jamie Lee is exactly correct that once we turn a certain age we become invisible. Not only that, but people (even family) don't listen when we speak. I find it rather interesting, and liberating in a way. Social situations have always been uncomfortable for me anyway.
Watched her in “The Bear” recently. Very probably the best TV I’ve ever seen. She’s absolutely outstanding amonst a cast of amazing performances.
It makes me very emotional that there are so many people who think that trans peeps aren't people or are an abomination. It's so senseless. It makes me cry because I think of that young person struggling alone and having to absorb all this hate. I thought this was all a thing of the past. I really don't get it. Good on Jamie for being an open-minded person, able to listen to all the bile.

I remember when True Lies came out, it's funny how when you think of these movies they're tied to periods of your life. That's a gift I don't think is recognized enough.

Jamie Lee Curtis is now thought of as down to earth and humble. But I remember working at a mall near Beverly Hills in the mid 80s. It was a pet store and it was packed with people. Ms. Curtis came into the pandemonium, and stood sort of at the center of the entrance, looking around. All associates, myself included, were swamped. So no one rushed over to ask if she needed help - it was obvious to anyone observing why this was. Suddenly, she yelled above the din of the store, "Don't you know who I am???!!" Our marvelously cynical cashier yelled back, "No! Should we??!!" She stormed out. Wonder what humbled her and when.

Jamie Lee Curtis loves to interrupt people. If you watch her interviews, she does it ALL THE TIME. She never lets the other person finish their thought.

Normally I couldn’t care less about peer award shows. Not a fan of a group of people patting themselves on the back, wearing exorbitant clothing and jewels, getting thousands of dollars in freebies, all the while frequently lecturing the rest of the world on how to live. BUT when it is someone like a Jamie Lee Curtis, so down to earth, unpretentious and seemingly just plain decent, really happy she received that recognition.
